There prices have gotten terrible, for a company that receives all of their goods from donations , I had gotten a crock pot from there store in Biddeford $25 , I was in job lots same size brand new $25.98 alot of their clothing your better off buying it new for the same price, plus it's clean, I walked past some clothes last time all I could smell was terrible body odor it almost made me vomit, I find it hard to believe that they cannot smell that? I no longer donate to goodwill, I will gladly give to salvation army, hopefully it will help someone in need and not for a company that will make a profit. read more

This is an awesome Goodwill! Ever since Goodwill jacked up their prices, I kinda stopped shopping there. It's more of a mainstream thrift store so expect this place to get really busy especially on the weekends. They have pretty big selection of kitchen ware, electronics, and other home supplies/devices. The only thing this particular Goodwill lacks is men's clothing. There are 3 measly aisles of clothing and there never seems to be a lot of selection. But other than that I've found some great speakers here that work perfectly. Hah, this goodwil is getting shady. Let me tell you why. So they started their loyalty program. And then you think you are getting a great discount, but really, they just raised their regular prices. This is a terrible business model that is way to obvious in the eyes of customers. They have stuff that are given by target that did not even cost as much if yoyu were to buy them on clearance at Target, so honestly why would I buy the more beat up version at goodwill? When I say this, i am literally not exaggerating. The item costs more than the salvage price listed. The worst part about this goodwill is the inefficiency. Everyone who works here is SUPER inefficient. I understand we are putting people who otherwise cannot get a job to work. But gosh, please do someything about your checkout line. The people who work the cash register are very incompetent. The people who work the fitting room, needless to say, even worse. The only reason I still come, really there is only one reason, is that even with the raised prices, if you buy name brands here, it's still cheaper than you can get on Ebay. read more

There is indeed a dropoff AND a retail outlet here. The area around here is rife (rife, I tell you!) with large, expensive homes, filled with people with large, expensive shopping habits. These are the people driving the USA's consumption economy. A high moral stand against consumerism (and not enough cash to fully partake in it anyway) doesn't mean I have to go without Kenneth Cole shoes or a DKNY jacket. Oh no. I just go here and hope that the stars align in such a way that I arrive the day after some lanky suburbanite with good taste happens to have cleaned out his closet to make room for the next wave. Last week was a nifty Claiborne fer Menz sweater, which I wore to the company party as everyone was getting sick of seeing me in a hoodie and jeans. I looked for hoodies, too. No score there. My girlfriend came with me this time, and seemed to do much better. Some expensive boots and a few designer skirts later, and she was out a whopping $20. I think women will always do better in these stores, since the women in Lake Co have better taste and shop more than the men. I could have outfitted myself for a year if only I could bring myself to wear argyle shirts with wee golf clubs embroidered on the pockets. Alas. read more

Easily my favorite thrift store in the area. I have a Goodwill in my town, but I prefer this one and travel 20-30 minutes. This Goodwill is located in a more lucrative town, so the goods are much better. I always find something awesome here. I've gotten a Louis Vuitton bag, many Abercrombie and Fitches pieces, I've seen Armani Exchange, Express, Hollister, American Eagle, Delia's, Northface, Gucci, Dooney and Bourke. Pacsun brands, and so much more. You just need to be patient and LOOK. It's the thrill of the hunt! Also has a drop off which is very convenient. You drive up, drop it off, get a receipt (Sup tax return) and then you can go buy more stuff to replace what you donated. Nice. read more

One of the best thrift stores in the area. There is nothing I like better than finding a deal, and I always find a deal here. Clothes, books, household goods, handbags.... Name brand sweaters and tops for around $5 and purses $5-$10. It is also a drop-off for your donations. read more

Great experience -- pulled into the drive-through with several bags of clothing to donate. I was quickly greeted by an employee who unloaded everything, offered me a receipt, and got me on my way. This used to be my favorite Goodwill. Always found gems here. Now....I would rather go to the clearance rack at other retail stores for new items! Same price..sometimes cheaper. They have gotten rid of the 1.99 clothing bins as well. I used to frequent often. Not so much lately! I just walk out empty handed! Bummer! By the reviews here it looks like I'm not alone! read more

This goodwill straight up sucks. So today we walked into Goodwill at 3:20 and saw a table which we grabbed the tag from so we could purchase it. They did the normal pages because someone else was trying to purchase the same table we wanted and we went up to the register to tell them that we were purchasing the table, but we wanted to still look around the store and the cashier (Mikel) said okay and we left to measure the table to see if it would fit into our car. We then saw one of the employees putting a sold sticker onto the table we were going to buy and proceeded to the register again to ask why the table we had the tag for was already sold. We waited about 40 minutes for the manager (John C) to give us the time of the purchase because the employees were trying to tell us that they sold the table before we got there (BUT WE HAD THE ORIGINAL TAG???) The manager told us that the table was sold at 3:30 which was AFTER we got the tag meaning one of the cashiers sold the table and chairs to someone (named Bob which they knew the exact name of most likely meaning that he was another employee so did they only let him keep it because they know him???) even though they knew that we had the original tag and that we were going to purchase the set of table and chairs. They also mentioned that they looked at the cameras WHICH ARENT CONVENIENTLY EVEN POINTED AT WHERE THE TABLE WAS SO THEY COULDNT SEE IF WE REALLY GOT THE TAG BEFORE THE OTHER GUY (!!WHICH WE DID BY THE WAY!!) So we recommend that you find another goodwill even if its 500 miles away read more

This location is very big with plenty of items. The prices are very inflated. This is by far the most expensive Goodwill I have been to. You would run into a ridiculous prices from 4.99 for small cups to 69.99 for a lawn chair. Great place to shop, if you have the money. read more

The reviews here got me very exicted to try this place out, but I must say I wasn't too impressed. When I went in I was expecting to see your average goodwill, but that was not the case. It was very well organized, very well kept, and the staff was friendly as well as very clean cut. The merchandise was just a little bit diappointing though. Nothing was very old. All very early 2000's and 90's and not in a good way. I like to wear old clothing, but this stuff was to recent to really get away with without looking clueless. Not my style. There were some nice stuff, but like I said, it wasn't old enough too be cool. Give it another 10 year and it may be awesome, but a lot of it was just recent enough that it was frumpy. I saw coach, gucci, and prada bags but like I said, frumpy. The other thing isn't something I should be complaining about, but it does annoy me. Isn't the goal of goodwill to employ people who would otherwise not be able to be employed? Like people who are just a little rough around the edges? Not what I found here! The people I saw were about 18-25, attractive, clean cut, and to be honest looked like they could just be kids who lived in the surrounding neighborhood(big houses). One of the things I loved about goodwill as that they provide jobs and are fairly no bullsh*t, but seriously? These kids are not people in need. Just because it's got nice stuff doesn't mean they need to stray from THEIR morals. read more

This is a large drop-off point for Goodwill donations. I don't think there is a retail outlet at this location. But you can pull up right up to the door, they help you unload and then give you a Goodwill document to claim the value of your donations on your taxes. I've moved so much during the past 10 years that I've learned to love "the purge" and this is a nice place to get rid of stuff in a hurry. read more

Terrible goodwill. Pries are near retail level. It's supposed to be a thrift store not a Retail store. So much for helping the poor.

Beware of goodwill. Please get informed about where you are donating and who they are helping. After 20+ years of personally donating carloads each month to goodwill in illinois,oregon, california and washington. I had an experience that was beyond horrible at this store! There are many other LOCAL non profits hat help people directly - lambs farm , the haven, libertyville food bank, bernies book bank, and several other shelters throughout lake county including grayslake and waukegan that can use your goods, furniture and help! If you need the money, take your items to renew in libertyville or kid to kid in vernon hills. There are alternatives! Please do your research!!! I am shocked by what people have sent me and told me about goodwill and theirs and others experiences!! what a shame! read more

I'm writing to address how insanely expensive this store has become. They have someone checking the eBay prices on most things before they get put out and they Price the items for the eBay Amount. That was told directly to me by an employee. Also I have to strongly agree with the other review that talked about the Target salvage items they sell. I thought at first it was a mistake but I have seen almost every target item with its clearance tag price less than what they are selling it for--so I brought this to the attention of a manager and she told me that they buy the things from target so they have to make some sort of profit --but not for the amount they upsell it!!!!! ..and because people aren't stupid I definitely noticed a recent effort to marker out or get rid of target price tag. I just find it hard to buy something that target salvaged for more than it was on clearance for at target. I do believe they have forgotten that Goodwill is a final resort for some people to shop. The thing that's really hard is how they have taken the fun out of thrifting. You will NOT find those awesome treasures or cool stuff by searching and getting a great deal. If you want those things, you can find them in a glass case by the register and like I said they are priced at eBay cost exactly. read more
