This is a good size store with plenty of parking. Racks were organized for the most part and the selection was decent. I didn't find a lot of treasures, but I picked up 5-6 things. I only shopped the clothing and prices were the mid thrift range - not as reasonable as St Vincent's, but not as expensive as Savers. Thrifters will understand! The staff was very nice and welcoming and seemed to engage with every customer. I love a friendly team, so bonus points for that! read more

This store used to be a good place to find treasures but since Covid their fitting rooms are closed and their hours are less. For the prices they charge-it doesn't make sense to buy clothing there since you can't try it on and there are no returns. Other thrift stores in the area are cheaper with better hours. read more

We were in the area and came here. There's plenty of parking. It's very organized and clean. I noticed they had a lot of clothes all very clean. They had a great book section. Most book were pretty new and these are books you can find at target within the last year. They were priced very reasonable. Hardcover $2 and paper backs $1. I visited this Goodwill over the holidays. It's a large store with somewhat dim lighting, but it's possible to find some good stuff. I took home an Old Navy dress with tags on, a nice gold long sleeve sweater, a patterned warm cardigan, a cool cactus print button up, etc. The first notable thing that stood out to me was that the items are priced at fixed rate - for example, all dresses were $10. I haven't experienced that at a thrift store before. I imagine it could work out in your favor, but more often than not it would result in a worse deal than other thrifts. The second notable thing was that someone walked in to shop with a chinchilla on their shoulder! That was fun to see. Other than that, it's good to know that the dressing rooms are closed during COVID. Staff was courteous but busy. Small-ish parking lot connected to other stores nearby. It is one of, if not the *most*, clean, organized, well-maintained thrift or second-hand store, one of the nicest I've ever visited. I talked to three different staff members while I was there and each was cheerful, pleasant and genuinely seemed to enjoy their work and take pride in their store. One called it their "second home," and it shows. (Seriously. It is so hard to keep thrift stores looking tidy and clean and they do a FABULOUS job). I'll be making a point to come back, even though it's a bit further than two or three others from me. Selection for any second hand store is always hit or miss depending on the day, but I'll admit to some bias since they had some real finds while I was there, at very good prices! read more

What a horrible experience!!!! Came here to donate about 20 garbage bags full of new like new kids clothing, but after the horribly rude mean Karen in the donation area never again. There store is almost empty could use a good amount of nice things to fill it up. But this lady needs to quit she has to be a cancer for the company!!!! Pulled up asked politely if there donations were open since there weee comes blocking all parking spots. She replied rudely ummm yeah today wet are!!!! Then I opened trunk she starts pointing out things she doesn't want to keep like she owns the F'ing store!!!! No toys no stuffed animals no this no that!!! I asked why you sell these items in store she responds BARELY!!!! So I slammed my trunk and took it to at Vincent around the corner. Well organized. While looking through jeans I noticed the clothing smells like it's not been washed. I wish the clothes could be washed first, but I know it would raise the prices considerably. Well this goodwill will not be seeing my cash again. Ten dollars for a used pair of jeans that ripped two days later. I can get brand new Jean's for under ten dollars at Costco, Target, and Kohls. These are used jeans people!!!! Sure the money goes to a good cause, but when you have a new like sofa for ten bucks and clothes costing more, I cant figure out your priorities. Crossing the Jordan is the place to go and now they have a cool "boutique" type store next to Trader Joe's in petaluma. That's the place to go. This goodwill seemed a lot better in their old location. They need more signs for sizes and pricing. And need to figure out how much they're selling things for. Today I found a pair of kid's shoes, price tag said $3.99 and it was even the 1/2 off color. Yay... Except when I went to check out, the cashier/manager said that wasn't the right tag, they were $6.99. ...still an okay deal for the shoes, but I asked since it was the half off colored tag, could she take half off her 'correct' price, and she said no. I bought them anyway, double what they had them marked as, because they were nice shoes. But that is bs on their part, and they should have errors be in customer's benefit, not argue when it was their mistake. All of their overpriced items are donations, so not like they're losing anything over it. read more

They have recently changed their pricing. $7 for a shirt?! $10 for boots?! You can find that on the sale rack somewhere... a used baby onesie is $3. They also no longer do color of the week or 99 cent Sundays, which means people like me can no longer even afford to shop there. People donate their things and then they jack up the prices?! I love this goodwill. I collect vintage clothing as well as costumes, and am most interested in more formal dresses that have rockabilly or gothic aesthetics. I have had so much luck at this store! I found some beautiful velvet dresses that I wear often, as well as a Fredericks of Hollywood dress that I adore. The last time I was in, I found a renaissance costume dress, a pinup dress, and some really cute sunglasses. It can be a bit overpriced, but the dresses I've found would go for much more if I bought them from the original stores or online. I would give this GW a -0 if I could. Employees are rude, lazy and items are way over priced. I tried to give them hangers 'we can't take those'. I tried to give them wrapping paper that's been in my garage for the past year "sorry because of CV we can't take unwrapped paper" WHAT, BUT U SELL UNDERWEAR! And u allow dirty, filthy dogs in the store. I will never set foot in this dump again. Oh just for info there is a new thrift store by 24 Hour Fitness called FLIP SIDE. This is the WORST Goodwill store I have ever shopped in! The employees are unprofessional, talking to friends rather than paying attention to customers. Much of the clothing is misplaced, pricing is unclear, check out is always disorganized. Today, while I was trying on clothes, one of the employees took my basket and returned the merchandise I had picked out to the shelf. No one asked if the basket belonged to anyone in the dressing rooms! I was able to find 2 of the 3 items myself, and I'm very disappointed that I could not find the third! No assistance was offered. I was tempted to just walk out without making a purchase, but then I would have wasted an hour! read more

It's ok as far as the inside goes. However when trying to make a donation at the truck near Raleys on State Farm road the man there yelled I don't have room for more. He didn't even know what I had and there clearly was room. The next day I went to Goodwill on Rohnert Park expressway where my donations of dishes were gone through checking for damage. It was insulting. I don't donate garbage. I will not donate to goodwill any longer. Also would add that this store is in Sonoma county where the recent fires occurred. I think some people might find a set of dishes even with a chip a good thing to have until better replacements could be found. Just done with Goodwill stores! read more

I have found PRADA authentic shoes 10$, Dooney and Bourke Bag, authentic Burberry trench coat 30$ all at this location. Amazing finds, but You really have to be patient. Its not like that every time I go. I was looking for a special computer chair for my bad back, was helped by two gentlemen who showed me several different ones, until I found the perfect one. I like the shopping, but the donation side is impossible. I sent my daughter over with donations, and they were rude to her - demanding to know if we had mixed belts in the with clothing (she didn't know) or shoes with clothes - you can't do that!! - and so on. Thing is, these guidelines aren't publicized anywhere, so how would we know? The Goodwill in Santa Rosa is helpful, assists you in putting the stuff into their carts, speaks courteously, and thanks you for the donation. We don't donate garbage, only "gently used" items. I was under the impression that donations are what create the jobs. Why do they act as though they are doing you a huge favor, and unwillingly at that? This location needs to coach their folks! read more

My Mom and I went to most of the Goodwill locations in Sonoma County over the weekend, and this one is by far the best. We shopped till we dropped. Mom found a blue wingback chair for $10 that she's been looking for, we came home with tops and pj's, and lots of beautiful crystal items, including vases, liqueur glasses and bowls. I also picked up a wicker suitcase picnic basket. Too say the least, we're both thrilled with our fun excursion to the Goodwill. Thank you much for such a wonderful shopping for treasures experience. Not the largest Goodwill store around, but it usually has a good selection of items that you might want. The book section drives me crazy because the bookshelves are labeled by subject/author, but books are so unorganized and in the wrong places. They offer a very good selection of men's and women's clothing, . Employees are usually very polite. They always have a huge selection of Halloween costumes for great prices. read more

I have been donating items to Goodwill for years and today is the first time they didnt want to take the items we brought them. I went straight to Hospice from here and Hospice was thrilled to have it all. I don't know when this location became so picky but I won't waste my time or donations on them again. The man glanced and decided he didn't want the items. There were brand new boxes of envelopes and file folders in the box and those did not meet his very discerning standards! I am so disappointed and will never donate to them again.If u can sell an item for a few bucks, ya think they'd be interested! He sorted through the items and kept us waiting for a long time while he chose what to keep. Said he couldnt help us out. i thought we were helping them out! Not okay! It's not like we were discarding trash. We had all ready made the dump run and this wasn't it! No good will at Goodwill! read more

Not sure why so many poor reviews. I love this location. I always end up finding SOMETHING I needed. Great for furniture(occasionally - I have found an IKEA side table for $6.99, a ceramic jug style water dispenser with wooden stand and bpa free container for $29.99...etc), knick knacks, household items, and toys. There was a killer Halloween costume selection this year. The employees I have dealt with here have always been friendly and helpful (helping to carry things outside to car and answer questions). read more

Walked right in and was greeted immediately! Love the straightforward prices, there is no complicated color-price tag system. (Shorts -$6,etc.) In less than 20 minutes I bought 3 shorts (2 Adidas, 1 unknown brand) and 1 SF jacket ($10) - ALL for $28. They are in very good condition as well. I went to donate one item, a fireplace screen. I drove up to the loading dock, got the screen out of my car, and carried it to where I was clearly visible to some people working inside. I waited for a good five minutes, during which they ignored me, then decided to leave the screen and go. As I turned, a woman yelled in a harsh voice, "Excuse me!" A man appeared and took the donation. Excuse me, but if you want donations don't treat people like criminals. A little courtesy would be appreciated. read more

The Good Will stores here in California remind us of the ones that USED to be in San Antonio back in the 70's. Back then, you could find actual donated items at good and fair prices. This is not the case in SA any more. Good Will management in SA is so corrupt and money hungry, they should be ashamed of claiming they're not-for-profit! If I could leave a 1/2 star I would. I have been coming to this particular store for 5 years. Every Monday I come in and buy a few pieces of clothing or shoes. Today I had the privilege of meet the manager Mary, she was at the check-stand checking out customers. With a line behind me 5 persons deep she was talking to the patron in front of me for an extra long time, not finishing the transaction till she had finished talking. When I got to the counter I lied my treasures on the counter. I had 2 blazers, a sweater and 2 tank tops. She pulls one of the blazers up rips off the tag, and tells me it is miss marked. I say, what is the regular price? She says in The snottiest loudest voice possible. It has to be taken to the back and re-priced. The price is wrong. I said what is the real price I'll pay it. She said 20.00 for the jacket. When I said it wasn't a jacket it was a blazer, she proceeded to tell me that I cannot buy it! It has to go to the back, and be re-priced. When I asked to speak to the manager, she says "I am the manager!" And then smiles at me. At this point I give up, and the gentleman standing off to the side says corporate would love to hear about this. And she says there is no need for that. read more
