Very appalled by my recent experience, last Thursday I purchased an item and am well aware of their 7 day return policy- so the next Thursday I go to return the item to this location (different from where I bought because I wanted to shop at this location). The lady (didn't grab her name, long dirty blonde hair in her 30s) refused to return the item for me because she said Thursday to Thursday was more than 7 days. Funny as I've never had a problem returning items just as this situation at the Goodwills near my home. She kept asking me if I could count, that since today was the 7th and I purchased on the 31st, that it was more than 7 days. I tried to explain that Thursday to Thursday is 7 days and have never never had a problem in the past. Even when it used to be a 14 day return policy, id buy something on sale Saturday to return it the following sale Saturday. She was very rude and unwilling to accommodate me, and even the lady in line behind me tried to back me up providing a calendar for the lady to look at. Never again will I ever be back at this store. I treated in an unfair manner. If for some reason this policy is not correct then why have a never had a problem in the past returning an item in such manner. read more

I like this goodwill. It's clean, the staff is helpful and I've found quite a few treasures here, especially kids clothes. I've found more brand name kids clothes with tags still in them at this location, than any other goodwill! I do wish their shoes were organized by size Instead of color but that's just me. read more

Half of every piece of clothing i touched either had a VISIBLE stain, hole, or gaping tear. Ok we paid ood light tram shorts had a huge period stain. No one is checking these clothes before they go on a hanger, and that is unsanitary and disgusting. On others, there was clearly a size on the clothing but the tag was different. I will never be back to this store. read more

This place often has good stuff, but you practically have to tackle the cart and fight people off of it. For awhile back in 2013 there was a guy who hung out here ALL DAY LONG and grabbed all the best stuff, he even knew all the employees by name, and they knew him. Thankfully he seems to be gone now, but there are still lots of flippers at this location. Prices at this location can be ridiculous. you're a THRIFT STORE, not a boutique. read more

This has to be my all-time favorite goodwill probably in the country! I'll never be able to understand how I can find brands like Vince, Dior, Versace, Bar III and many other top-name brands for all less than $10!!! The staff are wonderful and very friendly people. Some cool stuff, but whomever is responsible for pricing some of the merchandise is out to lunch. If you want to pay 6$ for dirty kitchen canisters that prolly cost 6$ new, you'll do fine here. Or if you are a student, teacher, or military, in which case you get 25% off on Sundays, which almost makes some of the niftier items reasonable. read more

This place is vast and well-organized, with lots of great finds. My husband and I came here to purchase clothes we wouldn't ordinarily wear (for cruiser ride costumes) and made out like bandits. The prices were truly low . I even picked up a cute shirt for $5 in a brand I like but am generally unwilling to shell out for (usually like $50 for a top). read more

I got an original game boy for $6 and a Chris Weber Bullets jersey for $3 and a picture of an avocado for $1.50 (I love avocados and if you don't you have no soul), and a men's baseball jersey with the name "Heather" sowed onto the front. Since then I've been back 6-7 times and found nothing. Being a good location in Scottsdale you would think there would be more quality items but I've been disappointed too many times, this would of been a 4 star rating due to my previous treasures but after going back that last 6-7 times and finding nothing remotely good I had to drop the rating, hopefully it will improve later and I can "raise up" #peteypablo #clever read more

I'm always looking for a good deal and some nostalgic stuff to hang in my garage. This place usually has a gem here or there. The people that work there are super nice and I'm not even sure they can say something negative if their lives depended on it. For example, my 12 year old daughter bought a pair of snow pants with the original tags still on them. They were bright yellow and I'm pretty sure they would keep her warm deep into the next ice age. The woman at the register rang them up, smiled at me and said "what a GREAT find, sir!"...it was 113 degrees outside when I purchased them. Gotta love an employee who always has a positive outlook! I stop by here once a month and always end up snagging something fun. read more

One of my favorite goodwills in the area! Being in Scottsdale which is a nicer area, there is a good variety of items here. It would be great if there was an even larger variety of clothing here, but overall the store is quite large and the clothes are generally in good condition. Would recommend! read more

We visited this GW location last week and it was a pretty bad experience. First, I was shocked at the prices. I looked at a pair of Nikes that were well used, but still had some life in them. I was shocked to see they were priced at $29. A Schwinn bike I looked at was priced at $149. I can't understand why they would price these items so high! I found the same bike on Craigslist a day later for under $50 and even had new tires. These are donated items for crying out loud!!! Next up is with our purchase. My son purchased an ab roller to strengthen his stomach muscles. We got home and he tried it out. It broke the first time he used it. The wheel broke free from the shaft causing it to buckle over on itself thus pinching his finger. His finger immediately turned black and blue. I thought he broke his finger, but it appears to be ok. He's 12 and 75lbs soaking wet, so weight was obviously not an issue. I suggest everyone to tread lightly with this type of equipment purchased from GW after this incident. I know GW can't thoroughly test their items, so buyer beware. Overall, I think I'm done with goodwill. As much as I appreciate their efforts, there are other companies doing a better job. read more

Yes, the store is nice and big and well organized and I find the employees to be very friendly. But I totally agree with the others who say that most of the stuff is way overpriced. Come on - it's a thrift store. That's why people go there. You want to sell the stuff right? I'm sure someone is sitting in the back comparing things to eBay or whatever but if you're doing that then I'll stay home and buy them on eBay. read more

The shopping experience in this store is very good - has a great selection and I've found some excellent deals. I would give them five stars, but I once had a terrible donating experience in which the employee was very rude to me. However, that may have just been an anomaly, because most of the employees I've interacted with have been pleasant. read more

The late night manager there is the worst, rudest, most disrespectful manager I've ever come across. She is completely unprofessional and treats customers poorly especially when the store is closing. Every time I go to this particular goodwill she immediately give me the "evil eye" and is just rude to the point where I'd rather ask another employee for help even if they were clear across the other side of the store. I was trying to buy four different Pokemon toys that were in separate bags for my daughter. I've been to other stores where the store managers were more than happy to take each one out of their respective bags and sell them to me separately. (For the most part the bags of toys do get opened by children occasionally and they just re-bag them and sell them again. Long story short, that particular goodwill on Indian Bend Road in Scottsdale is a great store with a great selection of donated items, but that manager (lady with long brown hair tied back in a ponytail) is just a terrible manager and just an unhappy individual. She shouldn't direct her misery towards customers like myself who spend a decent amount of money on just about a weekly basis at their store.
