First time coming here, me and my wife were checking out this store looking for clothes and suitcases for an upcoming trip. Overall, this store was good! Vast selection of more household accessories than other locations I've visited. Lacked suitcases but overstocked with carryons. Lacked clothing essentials like jeans for men but also the store was really busy too at the same time. They were selling some COMed light bulbs which was really needed by the check out lines. I agree with other comments on here, that Goodwill has lost sight of its mission. The CEO's are the ones who are benefiting from the stores. I no longer donate anything to them, for this reason. Clothing, & other items are overpriced. They no longer offer any discounts, for senior days, military, etc. I was told that you could sign up for their app, & they would occasionally email you some discount coupons. I say no to that, I already have too many businesses that have my information. There are many shoppers that can't get online to download apps, some seniors, disabled, & others. They relied on the special discount days. I prefer to shop, & donate to thrift & resale shops, like St. Vincent DePaul, and other local places that don't have overpaid executives. Deja Vu is one of the St. Vincent DePaul stores, (located in Geneva). It's staffed by volunteers, profits go to charities, that help local people in need. They have regular sales on their items. read more

Once upon a time the Goodwill Industry had a reputation for helping those in need. A pair of shoes, some Jeans, a winter coat... Now associated with accommodating the 'Thrift Store Shopper'. It's nothing more than a shopping charade for those 'in need' of a Garage Sale Fix. The parking lot is full of brand new SUV's swarming like hungry crows. The participants are looking to scavenge anything worthwhile before you do. Clean your closet and help feed the frenzy. read more

Constantly changing inventory. Excellent selection of items. Well organized & clean and easy to find what you are looking for, though you still get the "thrill of the hunt". This Goodwill usually has high end designer clothes with the tags still on for reasonable prices. It's one of the better ones around. read more

Very nice Goodwill store. They are on top of the best covid-19 policies. They had an employee counting the number of people in the store and letting us in only when someone came out. Masks required, lots of signs asking to keep 6 feet apart, etc. read more

Service-poor at donation area. Usually very helpful but today the man merely pointed at bin and waited for me to put donations in bin. I'm 80 year old woman and walk w a cane. My sister and I stopped at this Goodwill to see if we could find any summer clothes and random items for the house. I have to say this Goodwill is higher priced than a lot of other ones. $6.99 for a tank top? $9.99 for leggings with wear on the knees just because they are vs? Then we checked out the organizational bins ... why are dollar tree items marked at $2? They really should have beetter training on how to price items. Maybe a crash course of the Price is Right might help? We walked in excited and walked out exhausted. The whole purpose of a thrift store is to help disadvantaged people find decent items at a reasonable price. I usually frequent the one on Kirk rd and Butterfield and find they price their items a little better. read more

My fiancée and I love this location. They always have better items than the other Goodwills in our area. There are always good find here, so we never leave the store without a purchase. The store layout is also a better design than most other Goodwills. read more

We live in a very consumer driven society. We buy. We get rid of. We buy. We give to someone else. That's the beauty of Goodwill. You get to be the beneficiary of someone else's consumerism. About 75% of my wardrobe is from Goodwill stores. Right down to my Old Navy down feather coat. They partner with Target stores so occasionally you'll find new Mossimo brand clothing here. I've even purchased a brand new Kitchenaid food processor from a Goodwill. Not all Goodwills are created equal. The location here is superb in my opinion. They have a pretty good sized cd, dvd and book section. Love that. Their selection of women's clothing is vast. Sweaters usually run about $4.99. Items are usually in decent shape too. This Goodwill is worth a visit. read more

I ABSOLUTELY love this store and I have been going there ever since it opened. My daughter comes in from OakLawn to pick me up and my she brings my granddaughter & then my granddaughter from St. Charles comes over & we all meet at my house. We go out to lunch (most of the time it was Taco Bell & have fun, and my granddaughter would bring my great-granddaughter & I get to see & hang out with everyone. I love my days with them & we all love the Goodwill in Batavia on Randall Rd. right down the way from the Post Office. It's a great store, big, and such a variety and the prices are reasonable and they have 1/2 off on certain colors that the ticket is... Love it! The sales people there are very helpful too & with a smile. Great job everyone. It's been a while since they opened & I love this store! I just wanted to state that I witnessed an argument between 2 employees on the premises . In which the one employee shoved another.. I was so appalled by the one employees behavior I set aside any hope for a purchase and left the store that Saturday night in November. Apparently the Christmas season isn't a time of cheer at Goodwill. I have also seen on numerous times, managerial staff disciplining and yelling at employees in front of customers.. This to me is not a way to run a business, nor is it ethical. read more

I've never been inside, but this is the place to donate! They have a carport of sorts that you pull under and someone walks to your car, hands you a receipt, and takes your stuff. No where else I have ever been is this efficient - literally no where. It literally takes about 45 seconds! I love this place! read more

This is probably the worst customer service experience I've ever had. I'm a frequent goodwill customer, as I love to thrift, and typically have no issues. Today, I had been waiting in line for a few minutes, and an employee named Yana had been standing behind the counter aimlessly during that time. She came up to me asked if she could could cut me in line because she started her shift in 2 minutes and needed her manager to ring up her items- even though she had been aimlessly waiting around for several minutes prior. I told her no, as I feel you shouldn't ask to cut a customer, and I had somewhere to be as well. She then looked at me with a disgusted expression, and told me she "was glad she wasn't my mother"... I'm sorry but I would and could NEVER speak to a customer that way. She then continued to follow me to the register and gradually got closer to me as I was checking out, trying to rush me out of the store. She was pushing her forearm against my back as I was trying to grab my bags, and that was just the limit for me. Putting your hands on a customer now? Real mature. I turned around and told her that she had been extremely rude to me, and left the store VERY unsatisfied with my visit. I hope the manager overheard my comment or maybe reads this review so he knows what treatment his customers are receiving. Will not be returning back to this location read more

This is my favourite Goodwill store. It's more spacious than some of the others. They often have brand new in-the-box furniture from Target. I got a nice piano keyboard with a stand for super cheap last year. This is one of my fav places to go Christmas shopping! read more

The managers here need to learn a thing or two about how to treat their employees. I come here a lot and the employees are always working extremely hard to serve customers. It's the managers who have stinking attitudes over nothing. You can tell who is a micro manager by how much they scream and run in the back room to most likely play on their phones again. read more

Over the past few years, Goodwill has turned into my favorite place to shop, especially the Batavia location. It is a great place to find nice, gently used (sometimes new with tags) designer clothing, shoes and accessories. It is a great, convenient place to donate your unwanted and/or unused items. Even better, most of the staff is very friendly, and you can always find a manager or supervisor on the floor, eager to address any questions or concerns, or to just chat with for a while. As with any resale store, the more often you visit, the more likely you are to find great things. I almost never leave without a bag or two full of great items. read more

Oh no! I hate to do this as this used to be my favorite thrift store to shop at but things have changed recently. While the general staff are still nice and helpful there has been a complete overhaul in management . The once smiling and cheerful managers are now gone and have been replaced by abrasive corporate types. The prices have now increased substantially as well, while I appreciate that they have a business to run they get this stuff for FREE! Instead of gouging customers for every cent they can get they should be willing to pass the savings onto their customers. Greedy Greedy Goodwill, I will miss what you once were.
