I had brought a ton of baby seats and the guy kindly explained to me why he couldn't take them, but then also offered other ways I could try and get rid of them. Typically at other donation centers you're rudely told they can't take them. That didn't happen here and I really appreciated the way he handled it! I also can't get over the fact that you get a 20% off coupon for donating items. You do have to dig to find items, but once you find something you truly fall in love with it and it's at a pretty epic price. Savers is now a really fun part of my self-care routine :-)

I walked into goodwill to find some sweaters. It helps to have an item in mind so you don't feel…read moreoverwhelmed. The store was well lit and clean. It was a bit disorganized that the items are not sorted by size or by color, but they are making an effort to organize the items. I saw employees, putting items onto the racks. I also noticed that they are arranged by clothing item: Women's, coats, women's jeans, men's jeans" and so on. That being said I went digging. I checked for brand, size, type of fabric and if it looked brand new. I found 9 items in less than 30 minutes. I'm not even trying. I went to the fitting room to try them on. I found a sign that says you can only try 3 items or less. But because the store looked semi-empty and I genuinely came here to buy sweaters, I went in anyway. I'm sorry. Out of the 9 items. I liked 3 of them. One of the items I put away was a vintage wool sweater (made in the USA) and while it was beautiful, the neck was small, the fabric felt stiff, and on top of that it reeked of dust. My mom even commented that I smelled like dust after putting the unwanted clothes back in the "go back rack." The 3 that I found were: - Madewell cardigan - mustard color ($9) - J. Crew Teddie sweater - caramel color ($8) - a men's sweater that I can't tell the name of from the cursive. But it looked brand new. it was a dark burgundy color. ($8) Note-able go-backs: - Levi's plaid checkered button up long sleeve shirt (red and black) - Tommy Hilfiger sweater in dark green (I regret not taking this but it was too big for me) - Nordstrom cashmere blend white sparkly sweater - this was too small at the waist - felt like a cropped sweater. not my style. My mom found vintage 80's/90's princess house dishes for $6. That is a steal considering she bought one at an antique mall in San Juan Capistrano for $35. Now, the prices are surprisingly low compared to Salvation Army in South West Torrance area. the Madewell cardigan alone would have been $15-20 if I found it there. The moment you walk in, you can pretty much see all the various departments and what they are offering where. They generally keep their records and books up near the front, and their clothing over to the right side. They also keep their more boutique items behind the counter. That is a perfect place to discover that unique and/or antique or collectible item. They have all their electronics in the back. So if you're looking for anything electrical, and or anything else like that, that's your place to go. Overall, this is a fun shop to go into. The staff here are always really nice. I saw some I liked but I didn't get them because I wanted to see if any other stores had ones that were a little closer to my set. I didn't, so I returned today because it was such a great deal. She acknowledged me this time but I could tell she was just forcing it. I went up to purchase the cups and was heading out when I stopped to look at some more tea cups right by the door. Well she walked up to me and asked me what I had. I thought she was just curious about what I'd ended up getting and said tea cups. She asked me where I was going with them, that I needed to purchase them. I was at a loss of words. Why would I be walking out of a store with a taped up box if I hadn't paid for it?!?! I even had the receipt in my hands. The lady that helped me with my purchase walked up and stated I'd paid for it already. I cried when I got into my car. I love visiting thrift stores because I loved antique/vintage items. Unfortunately, I may never know if it's because of my skin color but that was the vibe I got from the entire situation. I will never return, which is sad because someone had recommended this thrift store to me and they had a lot of cool items I would have loved to come back to check out.

First off, the entrance line extended about six cars deep into Gaffey street. On top of that, it was literally moving at a snails pace. Every time I have been here prior, and including this visit, there are 3 attendants unloading for you, always asking you to NOT get out of your vehicle. But for some reason, this visit took an exceptionally long time. 45 minutes to be exact from start to finish. I would say, don't go on a Saturday at 11:30 a.m. It's never been that time consuming before so I guess timing is everything...
