I also saw a worker pull out a pair of newer athletic shoes out of a bin. I don't want to speculate, but seemed a little fishy. I saw another Donation Center on Artesia Blvd. closer to Hermosa Beach. I may drive a little further the next time to bring donations.

Their prices also have steadily increased. I saw several items with original tags in them and the goodwill prices are marked higher! Those items could have been sitting at someone's closet for years! Also, the chain has started doing $2 clothing color tag promos on the weekends, but this location seems to purposely pick a color that has the least amount of items (or they would put diff color tags to most of their clothing days before) so customers could not utilize this promo. The salvation army down the street actually has better color tag promos. You may find some rare treasures here, but they will be priced absurdly. I would try elsewhere.

Not the biggest Goodwill thrift store, but had a large selection of women's clothing, all well…read moresorted. My wife usually has a bag or two of used clothes, ready to donate, in our car. Thus she can stop into any close Goodwill location, donate, and then stop into the adjoining thrift retail store to do a little shopping. That's exactly what we did on a Saturday afternoon when we were in Redondo Beach for brunch. Dropping off the clothes was simple and manual. There is a QR code to scan, to automatically generate a tax receipt for the donation. Unfortunately, the first step of creating an account via an email never worked, so gave up to try again later. Nevertheless, it was a good stop, where she bought a dress for herself and one for her mom. The store was well staffed with helpful associates. I usually peruse the used records, books, and toy section...not a great selection at this store, but probably a good thing for me personally, since I don't really have the space.

The peace I guess is too small to house everything. Maybe they only select a handful of goods and dump the rest. The cashier up front is not friendly. I politely asked a quick question and she said two words with a stank face. She looked annoyed and tired. No hello, or welcome, or sorry, or any acknowledgment whatsoever. She abruptly ended the conversation and I walked away. Place needs better customer service so not to scare off potential buyers. I suggest management to properly train these workers. A bunch of females in the back (I guess the sorting area) behind a big door were just laughing it up and talking so loud I could barely hear myself think. They weren't working. They just kept gossiping and talking out loud to the point you can hear it from across the other room as I walked away. I also bought some tan I AM GIA cargo pants that were super cute, and a pair of acid‑wash grayish‑black utility pants that I thought were really cool. Selling with them is super quick and easy. I've sold there about three times now. The store is organized, easy to navigate, and the prices are decent. They never have a lot of shoes in my size though; I'm an 8/8.5 in women's, and that section is always sparse. They always have tons of 9s, 10s, 5s, and 6s... The staff is always stylish and friendly. Definitely my go to when I want to switch out wardrobe pieces since they let you trade for store credit or take cash. This time I took cash, but usually I choose store credit because you get a little more.

Retail: The retail area of this location was well organized into sections for clothing, furniture, books, home goods, etc. The area was well organized as there are some patrons that will not replace items properly and putting that on the staff to fix (be a better shopper to those of you who throw the stuff you look at). For the merchandise being donations the staff does a nice job of sorting out the good items for sale. Donation area: Fast, convenient, personable, and friendly are the words to describe the nice people I dealt with in donating. Easy experience and I am grateful that my unused items could possibly benefit someone else. Charity Rating: Salvation Army rates a 3 out 4 on charitynavigator.com, an A rating on charity watch.org, and meets all standards on give.org. This is a safe charity to donate to in my opinion.
