This review is strictly about dropping off donations. Every time I have brought donations here I have found a number of bins marked for household item, clothing, one labeled "non-clothing" and more. The last time I dropped off donations here there were nine bins for people to sort their donations into. Unfortunately the donation drop off area seldom has an employee present to help with unloading. I have seen people struggling with heavy furniture and other large items, and unless they specifically go inside and request assistance there isn't an employee around to help. After my last donation drop off here I decided to only go to the Keystone location where they always have at least one employee at the donation door. read more

This Goodwill Store does a good job of keeping things very neat and tidy. Everything has a place and for the most part are all in their places. I've been able to find several really nice items, such as a record player for $5.99, several glass storage containers for my pantry at around $1.99 each, handbags at discounted prices, cookbooks, sporting goods, etc. The donations made by members of the community provide this location with an excellent selection of goods. One day, while shopping, another customer was asking about the record player that I'd found. She began telling me how she's purchased an entire wardrobe of office attire in this store. She went on to compare it to the stores in Chicago, which is where she is from. She and her husband were expecting a child and likely shopping for maternity clothes or things for their new bundle of joy! More recently, I have noticed that the pricing has become a bit outrageous for some of the items. I saw a set of vintage hammock chairs priced at $349 each. I asked a member of the staff why they were priced so high and was told that online they are going for somewhere around $700 each. I understand the store wanting to make money, but these items were donated and I don't feel that it is right for them to gouge the public for items they received for free. Items such as hand-weights are also grossly overpriced, in my opinion. I personally like this store, but I just have to be careful when it comes to the pricing. Some of the USED designed handbags are being priced higher than the same bags being sold BRAND NEW on the designer's website, so buyer beware. I will never shop in this RACIST goodwill again. Upon checking out I had 2 items and a lady with two shopping carts pushed in front of me and the cashiers said nothing. So I asked them to call another cashier when she got to the front Kayleen who was on her personal phone then chatting away asked her to run an errand and I said, excuse me but I thought she was going to ring me up. She said fine I'll ring and proceeded to help the woman behind me!! I said ummmm I was first and she asked the lady if I was first and she said yes she was. So she reluctantly had to assist me. UNBELIEVABLE! RUDE!!!! And Kayleen needs to be spoken to about her snotty behavior. read more

I give 2 stars because sometimes you'll find a rare, good deal priced by someone who didn't know the value of the item sold, but mostly employees are pricing items ludicrously high, and sometimes even higher than retail. Ever since Goodwill started snatching anything of value from their brick and mortar stores to sell online at retail or comparative prices on eBay and auction sites, the possibility of finding anything worth a dime has shrunk to nearly nothing. This particular store is filthy and run down as well. You can tell that goodwill has made a pivot towards profits over people in the last few years, and as someone who relied on goodwill growing up for most of my needs, it's very sad and disheartening to see. read more

I was disappointed with my experience at this Goodwill store. I went to drop off a box of donations and I did not see the drop off at the store. It turns out it was on the right hand side of the store, but there was no sign to signify that it was for donations. I took my box inside the store and looked for an associate to help me with my box of donations. It took me about 10-15 minutes to locate an associate named Mona to help me with my box of donations, but she did not speak any English and did not understand me at all!!. Finally, someone jumped in who worked for the store and took my box of donations off my hands and I was good to go. It was a real hassle just to drop off a box of donations to Goodwill. I would hope going forward for this particular store that Goodwill hires people who speak English so that they can help customers that come into the store. I have nothing against people who don't speak English at their native language and trying to earn a living for themselves, but they just need to be placed in a position where they can be more effective and useful with their skills and abilities. If they are not able to interact with customers, then they should not be on the sales floor. I will most likely not visit this store again in the near future since it is further away from me, but will visit a Goodwill store if I have further donations. I would request for this particular store that the staff be more present and available to customers if they have questions or need assistance. read more

So organized! This Goodwill location is very organized, so finding what you need is relatively easy (for a thrift store). In the toy section, they have this thing where you can fill a bag with little toys for a set amount. When you walk into this Goodwill, you feel like you're walking into a Goodwill before they started selling items online via "shopgoodwill" auction site. The shelves are STOCKED. Great items, cool stuff you never see, vintage finds, new items, EVERYTHING! Then - you start looking at the prices and realize why there are so many items on the shelves. It's because the prices are not just retail, but often above retail. Every "new" in the box item that Wal-Mart or Target stocks is priced at the current corporate store price across the street with another dollar or two tacked on. The vintage items are worse. I've put down an electronic item marked 14.99 at this store, driven to the nearest Goodwill in the area and bought the same exact item *with a power cord included, unlike this store which charges another 2.99 for said cord* for 2.99 TOTAL. Whoever prices these items needs to realize they don't work at Target or even at a specialty antique shop! Your inventory is given to you FOR FREE! You pay your workers the lowest wages you can get away with! A 10 year old Nintendo DS with no battery and 2 puzzle games shouldn't be 59.99 at a GOODWILL. Good place for clothes, otherwise just skip this stop and go to Wal-Mart for better prices. read more

I have NO IDEA why the previous reviewer was so negative. You don't come to Goodwill to get brand new items (you can occasionally but that's not the focus of this business). You come to Goodwill to get "gently used" items at a low price. The first Saturday of every month is 50% off everything storewide. Warning: it's SUPER BUSY on those days so bring along a good attitude. If you have a Rewards Card you can save even more. Every Sunday they have $0.99 on their color off the week (The tags on the items not the color of the item). Huge savings to be had if you learn how! Also, donations made to the stores are tax deductible. If you don't want to bother having a garage sale, it's a great option that helps a very good cause. read more

I love having a Goodwill store right in my neighborhood!! I'm in there at least once a week, usually finding goodies!! Love my Goodwill!!!

Avoid. When the manager himself legit takes a Nike Colts shirt from you while checking out and jacks up the price from 4.49 to $14.99. I questioned him about it and said because it's Nike. Ridiculous. Avoid at all cost. A lot of goodwills in the area are jacking up prices on free donations but this is a new low. Won't be back and will be spreading the word at the horrendous service. Love the goodwill store on W. Washington St. by the interstate here in Indy on the west side. Workers are very friendly and very talented with their skills of arranging stuff. Always the cleanest most organized store in Indianapolis and prices are really good. Must have a good manager there I know the workers are very dedicated.Wish I could give them a raise because they all deserve it. Try to give them all a good dinner couple times a year to reward them for their quality workmanship I doubt if they ever get much from corporate. read more

This is a very solid goodwill. Every time I come to this location the racks are clean, air is nice, and the employees are crackin' jokes. Today at the store I found a Derrick rose Bulls jersey and a 96' Olympic hat...straight fuego. This location is also lovely for those prep stars who would like to be decked out in polo.
