We came here on a sleepy Saturday afternoon and hit the jackpot because they were having a sidewalk sale with very nice prices. I walked away with Talbots, Athleta, Rock and Republic, Free People on clearance and splurged on a Lululemon sweatshirt for full price (still under $40 so no complaints there). Not only are the prices great but this store will make any organized persons heart sing! Amazing organization and flow of the store, kudos Toggery! I will be making another trip here next time in the Broadripple area.

I found some designer jeans here for $50 that usually sell for about $200, and they are my favorite…read morego-to jeans, so that's cool. At first, I was a little disappointed in The Toggery because it seemed like the clothes were just a half step up from a regular Goodwill, but then I found the jeans, and now I'm not so sure. I think it all depends on when you shop, and what you're looking for. If you're looking for unusual vintage gems, you probably won't find that here. If you're looking for regional-trendy clothing ... you will probably find that here. I visited on a Saturday afternoon, and the racks seemed a little picked-through, but I think that's because this place is popular and so the racks probably were indeed picked through. They buy clothing during the weekdays, so if you want to find the good stuff, you should probably visit during the week, I'm thinking. The clothing is arranged very nicely, and everything is super organized and clean. They have dressing rooms available that you can just walk into (you don't have to flag down someone!), and they also have sale items that are pretty good. Like most consignment shops, they don't accept returns or exchanges, so make sure you're happy with your items before you purchase!

We were wandering around Fountain Square and came upon this irresistible window and had to go in and check it out. I am so glad that I did. Like most Vintage shops there isn't much the bigger woman but the clothing accessories are such a treat to look at and enjoy. Places like this make me want to put on a play set in the past and go to town in this shop outfitting everyone. The clerk was very welcoming and knowledgeable. It's no secret that I can be critical of Goodwill Stores. I've long loved the idea behind Goodwill,…read moreof course, as I'm all for anything that helps people get into competitive wage jobs. This is especially true for those with disabilities. However, far too often I've found Goodwill to be lacking in accessibility and questionable in customer service. While the clothing is certainly less than retail, I also often find it to be overpriced, incorrectly sized, and often in disrepair. In short, I often find Goodwill stores to be a good idea poorly implemented. There are exceptions and my visit today to the Danville Goodwill was a definite exception. This is one of the newer Goodwill stores, though I'll admit to being surprised I'm writing the first review. This is located in a free-standing building just inside the Danville limits. It's in the area with the Wal-Mart, Culver's, and Tractor Supply. It's a newer building that's well maintained. Parking is plentiful, accessible parking is nicely done, automatic doors are included, and I found most of the shelving is nicely accessible. I did not check the job kiosk (often a failure in Goodwill stores as they are notoriously inaccessible). There were lots of things nicely done here - aisles were a little bit wider, the store was brightly lit, and the aisle for check-out was clear and obvious with two super friendly cashiers working today. I mean, I was seriously impressed with both employees. The young woman who checked me out, I believe her name was Kaili, was friendly and helpful and even offered help getting the bag to my car (I'm a wheelchair user, I should explain). She served up the usual question about my being a rewards member. She also requested I round up (which I typically do and did today). I found products organized well and prices clearly marked. Having gotten home with several clothing items and one book, I've found nothing incorrectly sized or in disrepair. While I'm not quite willing to call this a 5-star experience, I'll easily give it a 4-star rating and say that this is undeniably one of the more pleasant Goodwill shopping experiences in Central Indiana. While the design is fairly typical for Goodwill, the atmosphere is pleasant, the employees are friendly and helpful, and the entire shopping experience is pleasant, well organized, effective, and efficient. As I'm spending more time in Hendricks County these days, there's no doubt I'll return as I was pleased with selection and the overall experience.

The parking lot is shared with the other stores in the strip mall. There is plenty of parking with accessible spaces available. Worth a visit if you are looking for a bargain or want to consign some clothes.

Per what I could find out, it's an all-volunteer effort and this is one of three locations. I will also note that this location relocated from a spot further south. There are also spots in Taylorsville and Beech Grove. I was in the area having some care work done nearby, and I decided to make a quick visit on my way from visiting some spots in the area. What can I say? This is true thrift. There are occasional community giveaway days. Prices are pretty amazing, and the selection is quite varied. There's a strong element of faith throughout, of course, and that includes attitude, decor, and to a certain degree even selection. After a quick visit, I was pleased to see a friend of mine on one of their social media posts. The entry is pretty accessible. The layout leans toward comfortable chaos, but I had no issues with getting around for the most part. I would enter with, well, humble expectations. There's really nothing fancy to be found here, but I found friendly volunteers with affordable items supporting a good cause. So, while this may not be the best thrift store in town it's a meaningful one worth the support.
