They have horrible customer service! I made an appointment for a safety check and to get my breaks checked. When I brought my car in, James, who was at the register, told me it would take 1 to 1.5 hours. After two hours had passed, I asked Colby, who was now standing at the register, how much longer it was going to be since they haven't even touched my car yet. He gave the excuse that they were short handed because someone called in sick. Four hours later, after asking them again how much longer it would be, I was told because I didn't have a receipt from my windshield getting fixed 5 years ago, they couldn't do my safety check. Had a 11 appointment for 4 new tires and alignment. Spent a lot of money on them. Showed up early, but at 1:30 I went outside and my car had not even been brought in to be worked on yet. The only offered answer was that they were backed up and it was a "snowball effect". From other reviews I can just assume that this occurs regularly. I waited until 3:30 when they finally said the tires were done, but said the alignment would take another hour! Absolutely unprofessional, super ridiculous. My husband had a 3pm appointment to have them patch our tire....Almost TWO AND A HALF HOURS later of waiting for them they tell him that they can't patch it and he has to buy a tire from them. So now he has to find somewhere else to go to on another day because most places are near closing. read more

I brought my car in for service at 8 and my appointment was at 830. That's fine. The first guy that checked me in, Clayton , his name was really nice and professional. It is now almost 11 and my car was still not done. I looked in the parking lot and saw my car. I asked the guy at the counter and he said it's not ready yet. I don't have time to be sitting here all day over a damn oil change. If I know I would have come on my day off to do it. Come on Goodyear get it together. read more

Talk about frustrating!!! TERRIBLE SERIVCE!!! Finally broke down and bought new tires. Spent 4 hours & over $800 at Goodyear Thursday putting them on. Drive home to find the TPMS sensor still on so drove back to have them fix it. Spent another hour for them to 'look' at it and tell me need new sensors. This morning, Sunday, I get off a 12 hour night shift to find a FLAT tire, pouring down rain I change to the spare. Drive back to Goodyear just to have the old man in front, James, walk away to the back while I was explaining the situation! This breaks my heart to give Good Year a two star rating but my service yesterday and today were beyond frustrating and make me question the business I've been going to for nearly five years. Typically Colby and Clayton give great service, are trustworthy, and very friendly. However, the reason for this rating is my experience with a safety check. It failed for two reasons, the first (a burned out break light) was completely legitmate, the second reason (worn out windshield wiper)is completely baseless. I took my car in yesterday morning for an oil change and safety check. Charles called my cell phone just prior to 12pm asking for a return call urgently. I called him back and was told my car failed the safety check for the two reasons listed above as well as a recommendation to change two different filters. I questioned them about the wiper- mind you they are referring to a BACK windshield wiper- and had confirmation in person that I needed to change it before they'd pass my car. I changed both issues on the car and returned today. I was still upset about the wiper and even brought printed guidelines from the dept of transportation printed from the county website. After showing the manager, the actual inpseector, and Charles this paperwork, I am then told by the inspector (steven) that he never would've failed me for the wiper. The fact that they argued this and denied what they said TWICE they day before really upset me. Only after looking at notes from yesterday did Charles somewhat acknowledge his error...his response..."oh... The most irritating part of all of this was that my windshield wiper was in good condition. The guy who replaced it thought I was crazy to take off the old part unnecessarily. Tip for Charles- learn to apologize when you realize you are wrong rather than arguing the customer. Tip for other customers- just go somewhere else at least for your safety check to avoid the hassles! read more

Wouldn't bother. You time is not valued. Promises are shrugged off and you still can't get a flat fixed in anytime that is reasonable. 4+ hours is not the standard . Try lex's for a little better service times...and save a few buck's along the way.. read more

I am very happy with Goodyear. I had 4 tires replaced today. They did what they said they would do. They were less expensive than other places in town - no double dipping on the labor charges like they tried to pass onto me at Sears. I thought I might have needed an alignment - but I didn't. They didn't just do (& charge me for) it because they could. I didn't feel taken advantage of or talked down to because I was a woman (as I have at Lex Brodie). They did the tires and that was it - no 5 million point inspection (like they do at Firestone). Courteous, kind, knowledgeable. Fast and reliable service. I would recommend them and will be using them again. read more

I took my vehicle in to receive a standard oil change. I was informed that it would only take around an hour in a half or two. Well after almost three hours of waiting in the shop, I finally stood up to ask what the status of my vehicle was. Another 15 minutes later of waiting, I found out that they did not even start on my car. It was still where I parked it and had not been touched. So...I asked them for my keys back and left. Later in the afternoon, I received a call from the manager apologizing for the incident as he noticed there was a note on my paperwork. I was offered the equivalent of a 30% discount on my oil change if I wanted to come back the next day as they appreciate my business. I'm a ASE certified car and heavy equipment mobile mechanic and before that I was a Millwright out of East Chicago. I did a complete front end rebuild on one of my client's truck and sent him to GoodYear to get a alignment. They sent this poor guy down the road when he needs truck to get to work and told him that they couldn't do the alignment because of a axle clip not being installed. He had a seized left front axle and we had to pry it out and the clip was destroyed. It's a dealer item and needs to be ordered so we put the truck together because he needs it for work. It's not an important part that is essential to the safety of the operator. It keeps the axle from sliding when you make a turn. But they told him they couldn't do an alignment. What the hell does a axle clip have to do with an alignment??? They lied to the guy. Was this to teach him a lesson for going other places for the work? What is it Mr. GoodYear? Or is it pure ignorance? Either way you hire clowns. read more

Ugh...waited for more than four hours for an oil change and safety check. I gave my cell phone number for them to call me when my car was ready. Finally I walked back from walking aimlessly around to find out my car had been done for two hours. When I asked them if they tried calling me they shrugged it off and said they called 'some phone number'. I was then informed that because I didn't have my insurance and registration card with me, I would not be getting my safety sticker. When I showed them that I gave them all my documentation along with my keys earlier that morning, again he shrugged and said unfortunately the guy who does safety inspections is gone for the day. THE WORST EVER! Unless of course you want to wait HOURS for an appointment they fail to keep. Then you'll receive multiple excuses why they are horrible at time management. I've given them a couple chances. First time I had the first appointment of the morning for a safety check, came back after lunch they hadn't put my car in yet and after 1 hour told me my maintenance check was complete?!?! They had no idea it was for a safety check and couldn't do it until the next day! REALLY. Today gave them another chance for maintenance, oil change which included tire rotation. Appt was for 3pm. Came back at 5:15 and they said my car was next. They close at 6. So all of that can be completed in less than 40 minutes!?! The answer I got was if you want a quick turnaround be the first appointment in the morning so that other problems won't back he times up.. Made an appointment, was told that I could get a ride home. I'm disabled and have difficulty walking, sitting, standing for long periods. They first said That it would take about an hour to change my starter. Then an hour and a half. then said two hours. said a ride would be coming later. Said coffee will be made later. Later came and went...i was then told no coffee, no filters. still No ride. After an hour sitting in the stinky tire and chemical air inside, I hobbled outside to breathe. After a few minutes, I Noticed that they were just starting to get into the car and drive into the garage! Hobbled across the street...i had to jaywalk...to Starbucks. Well, this is a bit of a story, but I need to tell it. I have a Tundra and the front tires wear faster than the rears, so I do a poor man's rotation and let the fronts wear down, move the rears to the front and put new tires on the rear. So I only buy two tires at at time. I was doing this with the Goodyear store in Hilo because I always liked Goodyear tires. This time I went in last Thursday and wanted to buy two tires. The sales guy said he could do it right away. Then he noticed that he didn't have the tires, but could get them from the Kona store and have them the next day. I said that I could come Monday at 9:30 and made an appointment. I come Monday, and a different guy tells me that I don't have an appointment and it would take two hours before they could do the work. So I made an appointment for Tuesday at 10:00am. I had some other things to do on Monday, and I came back figuring I would just wait the two hours rather than make another trip Into town the next day. The guy tells me that it will be more than two hours now, so I figured I would just come back the next day. When I got home, I thought, wait a minute, I had an appointment they didn't honor, so started looking for another place to buy Goodyear tires. I found Midas who was across the street from the Goodyear store. The guy was very nice, but didn't carry the tire I needed. He said he could get it from the Goodyear store. So, I told him the story of what happened and he could get my tires I ordered and put them on for me. He apparently called the Goodyear store and told them about my call. After about a half hour, the Goodyear manager calls me apologizing for what happened. He said he would give me 10% off on the tires to make things right. I said thanks, but I don't want to wait two or three hour to have two tires put on. He said that he talked to the service manager and he would get me in and out in quickly. He said he wasn't going to be there, but the service manager would handle it. When I went this morning they tried to have me sign an order that didn't have the 10% discount. When I told the guy, he said, oh that's why there are two invoices. When I asked him how long it would be, he said two hours. I said, two hours? I should have just walked out, but thought maybe they're just slow. Little did I know that it would be two hours before they would start working on it. I brought the truck in at about 10:45, went for a walk and came back at about 11:05. They still didn't have the vehicle in a bay. I asked for my keys back and he starts arguing with me that they have other vehicles. What's the point of having an appointment at 10:00 and they don't start working on it until who knows when? I went to another place and they did the whole thing in an hour, including wait time. I am going to file a complaint wit Goodyear as well. Don't do business with this store. The behind the counter guys had bad attitudes as well. They don't seem to like working there. Hey, man, I just want my keys back. Don't argue with me about it. read more
