My car alerted me that my tire pressure was low. I called K&J at 8am and they could see me at 10:15am, luckily same day. The lady answering the phone was courteous and professional. I went in and was very worried about the cost of having to buy new tires. They took me at my appointed time. After a very short waiting period, they said they checked my tires and it just needed air. Nothing was leaking and no new tire needed. They didn't charge me anything and they said to come by to get air in my tires whenever needed. I feel silly for not keeping up with putting air in my tires as often as needed but very relieved to find an amazing tire shop that can help. My vehicle's Tire Pressure Sensor came on so I checked and filled all tires to the specified PSI. When the light remained on, I knew one or more of the sensors were not transmitting. My prior experience was that I had gone to two other shops but one didn't have a TPMS calibrator and the 2nd shop had one but no one on duty knew how to use it. That time I had ended up going to the dealer. This time I looked up on YELP and found K&J's. They quickly set up an appointment and I went the following morning. The crew took the SUV in and immediately diagnosed the failed sensors. They gave me a quote (substantially less expensive than the dealer) and proceeded to work on the SUV. A little disclosure: In my previous life I ran a 12 bay shop and am ASE certified. The first thing I look for is whether the shop has torque sticks and or torque wrenches. K&J not only had them but were using them. This is mandatory for safe vehicle maintenance. When a lug nut is replaced too tight it can sheer off and when nuts are too loose, the stress can cause a "wheel off". To summarize, K&Js knew how to diagnose and reprogram the sensors, were substantially less than the dealer, timely, and most importantly handled the repair using safe processes. I highly recommend them. read more

Wow! Amazing, fast, efficient, kind service! Went in because tire kept losing air, Julian (pictured here) was quick to help, explained everything I needed to know and more, found the nail/problem, and an additional issue with a gorge in the tire. They were able to patch up both! Don't know the name of the other gentleman who helped. It was done in about 45min. Kindest and heartwarming moment happened afterwards. I went in to pay for the service, and the male owner? who also explained everything in detail to me, said he wouldn't charge me anything, for me to take care and drive safely. I insisted on paying for the service, but he was super generous and kept declining. I felt super grateful for all of their kind and efficient services and the huge generous act in the end. A few days before our granddaughters car suffers a flat tire. A temporary patch was done but worried about her safety while traveling to and from work made decision to get it professionally done. It was a Friday I called K&J and was nicely greeted. Explained the situation and was advised to bring tire in. I was given options and times for repair too. Arriving mid morning and they were very, very busy. I felt bad. I left tire and they would call when done that afternoon! Just installed 4 new tires on my Honda Accord that improved the ride and handling like it was brand new. Super fast service as they were done in less than an hour, they gave me an out the door quote which they stood by and a one year free rotation and inspection. They even put a reminder sticker on my windshield telling me when to do the inspection. Fast friendly service, honest as they did not try to sell me services I didn't need (like other guys), free rotation and inspection (year later), super awesome quality tires with the best prices on the island. Receptionist was very rude to me as soon as she answered. She had no friendly demeanor whatsoever. I gave her no reason to be rude to me as I came into the call with a friendly demeanor. I tried to support local but oh, what a Waste of my life...called the day before & office lady claimed they could do it, came in the next day after driving hour plus, agreeing to the type we left & she said they would work on it. By the time I came back thinking my truck was done, she asked me to "PLEASE WAIT!" as she plucked away on her computer, I stood there patiently waiting, waiting, waiting...eventually, a worker walked in saw her playing a some type of card game and told her what you doing playing cards, you crazy? As she looked up at me...in shock she was caught playing her cards as she told me wait, we then got the news...she said oh, never have your tires...try come back in 10 days, we go have them then. No phone call, nothing. Just leave us waiting...with 2 kids...in the rain... Great local family-owned company. Tanouye family is very helpful. Fast service. I called looking for a specific tire because one of the tires on my Honda developed a bubble. They had it in stock and they could service my car right away. I arrived before my appointment time and I didn't have to wait. 20 minutes later, my car was done. Stefan even checked online to see if the tire was covered under warranty. Unfortunately, it wasn't covered. A 3-year road hazard warranty is included with the tire purchase and they will rotate all my tires in 6 months for free. read more
