I notice a nail in the middle of my tire the other day. So, I booked an appointment with goodyear at 12am for a free flat repair. The estimate was 1hr. However, when I show up at 11:50am: the person in the counter ask "where is the nail?" I said "in the middle of the thread." He said: "oh we are backed up. it will take 4 hrs or more" I said "Really!! for a nail in the middle of the front tire?" He said: "if you want it faster, take it next door to Midas they do it for free too." humm I was thinking. I guess when I said "in the middle of the thread." Goodyear knows the tire is repairable. so Goodyear does not want to waste time on a free repair. Its better to refer me to Midas next door. I must said this is pretty crappy way to do business. So, if you need a flat repair and the nail is in the thread area. Even if you scheduled an appointment and the estimate is 1hr. Goodyear will take a 4 hr to fix it or they suggest you take it to the Midas next door. LOL To make the long story short. My family has been going to Goodyear for years. We've had many good experiences. Two years ago my elderly dad went there to get a new tire. After taking a look, they told him that it was just a slow leak and they repaired it for a fraction of the price of a new tire. So honest! Today I took my tire in for a slow leak. The guy at the front desk is shit. He should not be in the desk. I didn't know what service I need but had a problem but he said like I'm a dumbass and I don't know anything about the car. And he surely said for the check of my car, i need to make an appointment for the morning cuz at 4 all technicians go home. So I went to the website there and tried to make an appointment but I didn't know which box I need to check, so I asked to him what box I need to check for general check of car and he said "what? What are you taking about?" With the face like "just go away". And after some stupid conversation, he finally said "oh I moved your appointment already." What???? Then he should have let me know. Husband, kids & I drive by and he decided to stop in to ask if they could possibly squeeze us in for an oil change. As he walks in the employee snarks "You gotta move your car!". We weren't blocking other cars but knew it wasn't best place to stay, just wanted to ask a quick question. So husband responds "I will, just wanted to ask a quick question". Horrible customer service. The clerk seems like hes jaded and doesnt enjoy his job. Told me that I couldnt get my battery changef unless they do a checkup on the engine which cost $30. I was in a hurry because of a meeting so went to the nearest auto shop. They ended up buying the battery at Napa up the street. took 2 hours to change battery. worst of all they dont greet or say thank you. things your parents should teach you when you were young. avoid this place. read more

Horrible customer service. My girlfriend went here the other day to get her tires replaced. On their website you can can setup a appointment to do replace tires and at the same time get a free 29 point inspection and free alignment check which I setup for her and printed out so she just needed to take the print out and give the papers to the front desk to have the job done. The person at the front desk was rude. He questioned her if she needed everything done on the list because it takes extra time for them to do it because "people complained about the extra time needed to do the inspection, like a extra hour." Of course it needs to be done to ensure car safety and she was willing to wait for it to be done. He also said "people sometimes click on the extras to be done because it says free next to it." Your company offers it to ensure customer safety and if something was wrong then you can recommend it be fixed and people most likely have it done right there and then since they are already there which means more money for you. She did pay for that alignment that was offered as a free check on the website. By the way, the "extra time" earlier resulted in a total of about an hour which was the same when I took my car in before for the same procedure but I wasn't hassled. Maybe it's because she's a woman the guy wanted to hassle her so they had less work to do. They offer the service and it should be done, why question the person if the company is offering the service to being with. Never going back again. Horrible simply horrible...first I had to wait two weeks for a scheduled oil change... Really? And when it took an hour and a half coming in early at 8 am to do the job... Rather poor experience. Booked my appointment online and arrived at designated time. Found service rep needs some listening skills. Tried to upsell me beyond the appointment made online. Had to tear up 3 versions of service papers before getting it right. I asked if the job could be complete in 2 hours and was told yes. came back at that time and they had not started working. Reminded rep of 2 hour plan. Was told they would expedite. Waited another 20 minutes and they still hadn't started. left without getting an oil change no effort seen to make things work better for me. Won't be going back. read more

I meant this update long ago,, but as time rolls on. here's my story: my car is just one year old, I'd noticed on 1 tire there was forming a bubble near the treads, after about a month i noticed the same thing on another tire (oem is goodyears) finally noticed it on a 3rd tire. So figured well i got 25k miles on em, time for some new rubber so went to the Goodyear on Waialae and was looking at what my options was, it wasn't busy so I asked the guy working there if they had the same as the oem tires or if i should go with a more aggressive tire, also i mentioned the bubbles and he wanted to see them, I took him out and showed him the tires, he said " you should come back when the manager is here, maybe he can adjust the price on new tires for you" so I went back several days later and found the manager and had him take a look, he said "wow i've never seen that before" and went back inside. I went back inside an at this point i was just ready to buy new tires but he said "if you want the same tires i can credit you $120 per tire so the offset price each will be 30 bucks each" WOW what a deal. I asked can I upgrade to a more aggressive off-road tire, he said yes and same credit will be deducted from which ever i choose. I didn't want to get just 3 tires so i said "let me have 4 i'll pay full price on the last one" and he countered my offer by giving me the tires (3) at the credit price and 25% off the 4th one bottom line got out with 4 tires mounted and balanced for less than $400 (would have been about 850 reg price) if that's not customer service I don't know what is. ps now if we can clone the manager and put them to work in some of these restaurants around here everyone'd be rosey!! read more

The auto repair I normally go to didn't have the equipment to do alignment yet so they recommended this one. I called for an appointment and when I arrived the day of the lot was pretty full which got my concerned about where to park but they were really chill about it. We recieved prompt service and was told it would take anywhere from 1 hour to 90 minutes. So my boyfriend who came with me suggested just waiting there since we wanted to eat out after. So we did and good thing too since it took 40 minutes! Much shorter than expected! I was very pleased and it was very affordable. I'd recommend then to anyone! read more

Had "summer" service special (oil change/filter, tire rotation, etc.) done here recently. What irks me about this place is that they try to sell you wiper blades, brake flush, and other services when you don't need it. In my case, the wipers were 4 weeks old, and the brake system had been completely serviced 6 months before somewhere else. Shame on them. read more

Good , quick, reliable service. I don't understand some of the bad reviews on here. Sounds like most of you were immediately impatient and looking for problems. If you give patience and respect you will receive it. And that's exactly what I got today. Went in with a flat tire, was expecting to have to buy a new one but they were able to patch it up and level out all my other tires psi as well. Everything was FREE. That's what's awesome about Goodyear. Patching a hole is free. Most places charge 15-20 bucks. Any way I had a good experience, I'll go back when I need new tires. read more

The cashier there will try to over charge you as much as they can and meanwhile do as little work as possible. I made an appointment online for oil change. I get a list of prices for different oil options, but I prefer to choose oil in store. When I get there and let the cashier people know I made appointment online, the price is higher than the price on their website. So I have my question asked, he did not admit it and ask me what is the price online with an "I don't think so" face. So I thought I made a mistake on the price. After leaving the shop, I double checked online and it turned out I was right. So I went back to the shop to show the price, then that guy finally change the price. So, my advice is that you need to argue everything you can, they try to sell you as expensive as they can and treat you like a fool. Don't try to be nice or polite in this store, or you will get over charged. BTW, they offer free tire rotation and brake check for oil change, and they will not bring that to you, you have to ask! read more

I had bad experience with Goodyear Auto Service Center. I own Nissan Versa Note 2015 which needed a new Battery. It died while it was in the parking lot and I couldn't start it. After an hour, I got help from my insurance and was advised to drive it to a nearest car service center to install a new battery. The nearest place to my location was Goodyear Auto Service Center in Kapolei. There I got the help but it was too expensive. After waiting almost four hours, I was charged $335.10 for buying a new battery, labor and for Regular vehicle inspection. I knew later and upon leaving their place and checking with New City Nissan that i was overcharged! I was overcharged by at least $135. I had to go and try their services because I was desperate and I needed immediate help but I will never do it again! Friends, especially "SENIORS"Don't Use Goodyear Auto Service Center for any service! They are too expensive!!!!! read more

Not only is the location totally convenient, the guys there are always friendly and very helpful. It's very clean inside and out. Been there for services from the free brake inspection to replacing tires to starter issues. I like the fact I can drop my car off without an appointment for urgent matters (like today with my starter issues) and they don't make me feel as if it's an inconvenience. The guys always give me whatever coupon special there is even when I don't know there is one! The only negative would be if you try to call between the hours of 7-9am and 4-6pm, you probably won't get an answer since that's their busy times. read more

Don't expect to get treated well by LEM. He is the rude guy behind the counter that is caustic and condescending. I am giving this place one star for Ryan though. I brought my car in last week to get 2 new tires in which Ryan was very helpful. He made an appointment for me to come back the next week to look at a noise in the right front wheel area. When I came in for my appointment today LEM waited on me and was rude from the very start. He kept asking me what the noise was like. Again and again I kept telling him it sounds like a cranking noise. I don't know if he doesn't hear well but he kept asking a clicking noise? I tried my best to explain to him the problem but he is obviously not a good listener. When he came out to inspect the car of course it didn't make the noise. I explained to him that the noise happens when you fully crank the wheel to the right, however in their small parking lot there was not enough room to fully crank the wheel. I asked if we could drive and park somewhere and he pretty much snapped back at me and told me that I had to leave my car there and he didn't know for how long. He said there are a number of people in front of you. I said well that's why I made an appointment. He said well that's the way it is. I said I am going to go, he said you can call and make an appointment for later. He didn't care to have my business at all. He seems completely miserable in his job. I have read some other reviews and they tell the same story about him being a jerk. It's sad that the owner of this place continually allows him to talk down to people. I showed up and it took less than one hour to change two tires. They didn't try to force any ridiculous sale on me and the price was very fair. Employees were upfront and friendly. I picked up a large screw on the freeway while running errands for my job and in desperation, I drove to Goodyear on Waialae Ave. (the closest place I knew). I'll admit it was very busy and the parking lot was full of customers waiting to have their oil changed, other mechanical work done, or new tires put on. When I went into the store, I was helped by man named GARRETT. As other people stated in their negative reviews, he was RUDE AS FUCK! I explained my situation and asked if my tire needed to be changed or was it something they could plug. He stated that it could indeed be plugged and a new tire wasn't necessary. Then he told me I'd have to wait over 4 hours for them to get to it which meant it wouldn't be done until approx. 6:00 p.m.. Being that my tire only needed to be plugged, I ask if they could have it fixed more quickly. That's when he told me "look in the parking lot, we have to get to all those cars before we get to yours." I, again, asked if they could do it sooner since it'll take only a couple of minutes to do. His reply was "we can't because we have to take the tire off your truck, blah blah blah..." (I may be a female but I'm a female who knows that a tire can be plugged without removing the entire tire off my truck.) My response to him was forget it, I'm going somewhere else. I had absolutely NO problem making them move all the cars just so I could get out of their parking lot. Once in my truck, I called around and was recommended to Kapahulu Auto Repair on Castle St. As soon I I took my truck there, one of their techs immediately stopped what he was doing and plugged my tire WITH THE TIRE LEFT ON MY TRUCK! In less than 7 minutes he was done. He couldn't understand why Goodyear wouldn't work on my truck immediately since it was such an easy fix. I explained that I would've completely understood the wait if I needed a new tire, because I know the work involved. However, I didn't. Needless to say, my tire is now perfect and the tech received a good tip from me. GO TO KAPAHULU AUTO REPAIR FOR ALL YOUR VEHICLE NEEDS. Their customer service is excellent and they don't dick you around like the asshole Garrett at Goodyear. Why is he even a manager or working in a customer oriented field when he obviously hates working with people??? read more

Went there 2 times for a punctured tire and a tire replacement. Although the first one they took me right away. It seemed like they didn't want my business n I was inconveniencing them although there were a bunch of workers sitting around and only a couple customers there. I don't know if it's because I was a female but the counter guy was very unfriendly. I had an appointment for 9am...the guy kept typing into the computer and questioned me when I made this appointment and I informed him after they told me they needed to order a part two weeks ago. He still acted like he couldn't find me and finally printed out my form. Then asks if I want to wait or them call me. I chose to wait because the last time it took one hour. Well at the 2 hour mark the desk associate finally calls me over and tells me he has bad news. The shim they needed to put on wouldn't go on so they couldn't align the back passenger wheel. So I asked what I should do and I got a shrug of the shoulders with no suggestions...wth! At least there was no charge for today but the whole overall experience was terrible...is friendliness not needed anymore nowadays??!! This review highlights great customer service from beginning to end. I called to schedule an appointment which they were able to accommodate to my schedule. They stuck to the time frame that they estimated and also went above and beyond in trying to fix my car. They ordered the part that needed to be replaced, however the connector piece didn't seem to fit right. They went to napa auto parts to see if there was a connector piece that would fit, but it did not work. Next they called the dealership to order the part, but first asked for the price and then called me to confirm the order. The cost of the part at the dealership was way more than what Goodyear estimated, so I told them not to order the part. Since there was nothing further they could do, they did not charge me for the diagnostics. Furthermore, Goodyear said if I ordered the part myself, I could bring the part in and they could install it for me. Definitely gave me peace of mind knowing that I was not being forced to pay for overpriced parts and labor. Gave 4 out of 5 stars, since I kept having to call throughout the day to find out information, however to Goodyear's credit they answered all my questions each time I asked for an update. read more

I used to like em but no more! I have bought tires etc, but when I had to get a issued looked at with my Impala power steering wouldn't turn smoothly. (which I was having issues with they found nothing wrong, and charged me. I asked the clerk what did they do to check it? and he gave me a smart ass attitude! I had to go and bring it to another shop, and behold my rack and pinion was gone! I had the dealer print out what was wrong and I bought it back to goodyear to get my money back I was thankful that the District Manager was understanding that they didn't find the problem and refunded my card. I bought my wifes car in before this for a/c problem ( not as cold) and they said It will cost $1,800 to repair! Got the car back after paying $150.00 and the A/C didn't work at all, I went home and recharged it myself and it works fine! I no longer trust them. I had been buying tires online whenever my wife's car needed replacements, and shipping them to this location for installation. My wife tells me each time how happy she is with their services. This time it was my turn. I ordered wheels and tires separately and when the wheels arrived, the store manager Garrett personally called me. There was a delay in the tire delivery and they kindly held on for a week until all in and I had the time to visit them. I made an appointment ahead of time and dropped off car (knowing it would be over an hour, including transferring TPMS from existing wheels). They do have a wait area with restroom, TV, coffee and Wi-Fi. Then Garrett called. He was making sure all parts fit, but found something which concerned him. He wanted to make sure they fit, and if not, he does not do what would prevent me from returning the products. A quick confirmation from the retailer that I am covered even after mounted, and it was a go. When I got back to the shop I see Garrett working on my vehicle himself and everything was going smooth. Once all completed, his staff helped put the old set into my car, saved me parts I needed to keep, and charged me only $25 per corner for TPMS transfer, mounting and balancing. What a deal, not to mention everyone was polite. Garrett suggested an alignment but after I informed my car is quite new, he told me honestly I won't need to but bring back after 6 months so he can check the thread wear and tell me then if I need to at least rotate the tires. I would definitely use their services again myself, and recommend to friends without hesitation. read more
