I do business with Goodyear because I expect a certain degree of competence and integrity. I can buy tires anywhere (even a Walmart). So I go to the Wornall location to BUY A SET OF TIRES. I am quoted a multi tire price. Amd promised an alignment if I need it. First problem when I pick it up it's 37 degrees out of alignment and they want me to take it like that, saying they can't align it. So I have to wait an additional three days for the manager to fix that. Then after I get home I notice the spare is NOT even the same size as the tires they put on. I don't like that and call to get my spare tire matching what they just put on. He says he'll do it for the same tire price as the $800 of tires I just bought a few days ago. A multi tire purchase. But when I get in there he's up charging and charging me to mount the tire. NOT WHAT WE AGREED TO. And he claims free mounting is only for multi tire purchases. I just bought $800 worth of tires in this same location a couple days ago. Not to mention he said he would do it for the same price. These guys are incompetent and they DO NOT honor their agreements or responsibilities to customers. They have seen my last dollar! Purchase here at your own risk. SHAME ON YOU GUYS. How short sided. I own 7 vehicles. And buy a lot of tires. BUYER BEWARE! read more

So I did do Lyft which gave me a coupon to use as a discount and forgot to use it at my check out. When I made an appointment I wasn't aware that it wasn't a legitimate appointment for my vehicle just some type of consultation. I had to wait for my car to get worked up 4 hours later which I came in super early like at 9 in the hopes that my car was going to get finished in an hour but again like I said. It somewhat was more of a walk in schedule in and get it worked up there and then so I see why it took longer than I expected. If I were to leave my car there and come back at a later time it would make sense they get it done at the time given. It's more first come first serve . They already had like 15 other customers ahead of me which is why it took longer so don't expect your car to get done in an hour like I did. So far they did a good job changing my oil and changing the serpentine belt as well as diagnose my shocks/ boots in my car. Thank you read more

I detected a slow leak on my front right tire and after my inspection of the tire discovered a nail embedded in the tread. Took it to Goodyear Tire Shop on Wornall. I have Wheel Lock Lugs on all four tires, I gave the technician my Wheel Lock Key to remove the tire and they inspected it and told me the nail was too close to the sidewall and couldn't patch it. They then showed me a slow leak on the back tire (used soap to detect, bubbles) and I was unaware of that. They then showed me (UPSELL TACTIC) an estimate for 4 new tires $1100. I said I could do that, they then said, "How about only two and we rotate all tires and put the new ones on the front?" I said I couldn't afford all that right now (I'm 70 and fixed income). I told them to wrap it up and I'd think about it. No charge for inspection analysis. I drove home and started to look for my Wheel Lock Key (technicians always leave it either on my seat, in my cup holder or hand it to me. It wasn't there. I called the shop manager and he checked with the technician and he admitted he got distracted and left the Wheel Lock Key ON THE FRONT LEFT TIRE! I checked all wheels and it was gone. It flung off on Wornall Road and now I'm HOSED. I confronted the tire shop and told them they'd have to pay for another one as it was their fault, they agree. I ordered a new key and they paid for it. BUT, I'm never going back because if their technician isn't "FOCUSED on the tasks at hand" what else are they NOT DOING (tighten all lugs correctly, installing ALL parts etc). I was NOT impressed by ANY of the employees (as I observed each) that day. Just wasn't impressed especially each coming in consulting with the manager in his office and 'whispering' - planning 'UPSELL' strategy as in my case? I did witness them telling the guy before me they found an expensive problem and he refused and told another customer his mechanic (he go to auto shop guy) could repair it for a fraction of what they told him. I found 4 new Firestone tires at CostCo for $651 installed beating their $1100 all to hell AND it included 5 years of Road Hazard/Warranty of which Goodyear charges $149 for ONLY a YEAR! I've learned my lesson that I GET ALL MY ITEMS BEFORE I LEAVE. I'm now engraving ON the Wheel Lock Key, my "NAME & RETURN TO OWNER" and applying fluorescent orange tape so it's SEEN. This place is not that good. They over filled my car oil. They charged more then dealership prices and no one double checked the work. If you care about your vehicle don't bring it here. My car is screwed and it's all because of this place. read more

These guys are great!! I have worked at this location and have been a customer. The store manager Michael is an awesome man. He's very understanding and by far the best boss I ever had. I do appreciate everything he has done for me and for that I am grateful. The Service Manager Ryan is also a great guy. He taught me many things such as alignments, starter replacement and all the sorts. If you have an opportunity to work with these gentlemen, I would recommend it 100%. As a customer they were informative and kept me updated. The prices were fair and they didn't push upselling on me. This was before I worked with them and I will continue to go there for services on my vehicles even after quitting this job. read more

I went in before Winter to buy tires and they explained I didn't HAVE to buy all 4 tires. They offered to keep the best two I had and put new ones on the front of the car, since it's front-wheel drive. Last week I went in for an oil change and the let me use a coupon card for the oil change AND new windshield wipers. The manager (Curtis) is very helpful. read more

Sold me a defective tire that completely disintegrated (the side walls ripped apart leaving the tread completely separated from the wheel) on the interstate nearly causing a very serious multi car wreck. This was just a few moths after they told me the tire was fine. Their absurd explanation was to tell me I must have been driving around on it completely flat. It is not possible to drive on a flat tire and not know it on normal roads, much less on the interstate. They also slipped up and informed me they had charged me for road hazard fees on another purchase when I specifically said not to. They do not honor their road hazard protection claims. Thanks to the earlier reviews I took my car here after knocking a front tire completely off the rim. Fast and courteous service, and I most appreciated not getting up sold at all. They didn't try to sell me two tires instead of just the one, and they didn't try to sell me a wheel. In fact, while replacing the tire, they noticed the wheel was slightly bent, so they wrote an estimate for a new wheel and switched that wheel to the back. "It may shimmy at times but it's fine to drive on," he said. So now I am free to go get that fixed anytime and anywhere else I choose. I will be going back here! This Goodyear location is top notch. Scheduling appointments is always effortless, and if I need to get my cars in unexpectedly, they always manage to still accommodate me. The store is very clean, and GM Mike and the guys are super friendly. They always take time to explain how/why they are servicing my vehicle and what the estimated cost will be before they do the work. I have never had any issue with any of the work they have done, and I've had three sets of tires, brakes, an alternator, batteries and a starter put in our vehicles, as well as alignments and oil changes done. It sucked having a nail in my tire, but it didn't suck going to this Goodyear location. The staff (wish I could remember his name.. he's worked there forever, and had some great zingers) was incredibly nice to me, and answered all my questions. I left smiling, and knowing more about car tires than I ever thought possible. I would definitely go back, though I obviously hope my tires hold out a long time and I won't have to. read more

I called the other day to get an estimate on how much it would cost to get a starter replaced in a 2011 Hyundai Sonata. I was told that they would have to do an inspection which would cost $25 to complete. After having the car towed there, I was advised that the problem was in fact my starter and it would cost nearly $600 to replace. Needless to say I was furious because this was information that could have been provided to me before towing my vehicle there. Im almost certain I could have found a better price elsewhere but since I already paid for a tow and was on the line for $25. I figured it would end up costing the same to just get it repaired there rather than paying for another tow to another shop. After shelling out almost $600 they return my car to me with the check engine light on. When I brought the vehicle back of course they claimed that this had nothing to do with their work although the light was not on prior to them servicing my car. To add insult to injury they then went on to tell me that it would cost $120 to diagnose this problem to get an estimate on repairs. So at the end of the day. Im out $600 and now have another problem to deal with. One I believe they caused. These people are typical crooks like any other shady mechanic in this town. read more

Had my truck towed to this Goodyear about a month ago to get a flat tire repaired. It has been sitting in my driveway since they "repaired" it and now the tire is flat again. They can't even fix a flat tire. Pathetic! read more

I had 4 tires changed. Crappy installation job. I had to go back in 3 days because front 2 tires kept deflating. The manager called it a mistake, but if your business is a tire store, you would think that it is common sense that if you replace the air valve on the tires, that you would want to make sure that the new ones were installed properly and NOT LEAKING. Laziness or negligence, but not a mistake, especially since the technician supposed check the rear tires, but not the front two. Pretty much had to take the day off, so they can fix their "mistake." Especially since you charge over $100 extra for installation and labor, you are not entitled to this kind of mistake. It would be one thing if their tire prices were dramatically lower than anywhere else or if they had exceptional service. However, this place is average at best. Their prices are in line with other places in town (although I should note they told me they were discounting each tire $20 off, but their discounted price was the regular price at every else). I let you judge for yourself about the service. However, I will not be using this place again. read more
