I didn't catch the name of the guy who helped me, but he was working the front desk on Saturday morning, April 17 2021 and had both arms covered with tattoo sleeves. I wanted to leave this review because this guy saved my ass. I went to sleep early on Friday to go to Steve's Auto down the street because Steve's Auto told me to come in at 8am when I called ahead. I showed up at Steve's, and they told me they were too busy and to go somewhere else. So somewhere else I went. I'm new in town so don't know any places to get my car fixed, and Steve's was my only option that I researched. I went to Goodyear after dealing with that rude front desk guy at Steve's, and found the Goodyear rep at the front desk like a mechanical Jesus. He was so damn nice and accommodating. Within 10 minutes of walking in, he knew immediately what the issue was. He walked out with me to my car, did his thing under the hood, and viola..no more check engine light. Best part about it is that I didn't even spend a dime. I wish I caught this guys name, but Goodyear if you're reading this, find out who he is and give him a bonus. Dude deserves it. I will be coming here from now on with any repairs I need. read more

I drove onto the lot 25 minutes before their posted closing time with a flat tire. 68 yo female and was told they could help me "TOMORROW "! Offered to put some air in the flat tire, even came out to do it! I told him never mind that won't help. Told me I was going to need a tire. Sure thing! but I won't be buying it here. They lost a tire sale for life from me. 1200 Union Ave Memphis Tn 7/13/2026 at 535pm. So lazy and missed out on a sale. Only one tire, but they could have gained me as a lifetime customer in 30 min. Anyway I called roadside assistance and the guy was next door, drove right over. 603pm I was back on the road. If I could give less than one star I would. Really irked me that I had to choose one. I will share this piss poor experience with all of my friends. We're old and spend a lot of money. read more

Do not trust what they tell you. Just visited this Goodyear stop with a flat tire with only 800 miles on it. I was told it was a puncture that could not be patched. I decided to take it to my car dealer. They plugged it for $35. Beware of this shop. read more

Went online opened a line of credit with them to get the 6 months same as cash. Called and reviewed the three issues I wanted serviced for like $300. Dropped off the car, again went over the three things. They called an hour or so latter, we reviewed the three issues I wanted serviced. They reviewed three items they were trying to up-sale. I declined. I called to see if the car was ready , they again tried to up-sale so I again declined. I went to pick it up. We reviewed the three items, I paid then walked out to the car. It was obvious the tire rotation wasn't done. Went back in, and showed they charged me and explained no rotation. Same from tires has not been rotated. They came back and offered to refund saying the car tires didn't meet corporate expectations. Like wtf? The car is a CPO and not even a year old. One front tire was replaced two months ago. They overlooked it, charged me and didn't want to do it. Just unscrupulous and so petty. I won't be back. They are quick to up-sale but don't even fix the issues I paid for. read more

So I went into Goodyear today around 9am 1/22/22 didn't get the truck out till closing time 5ish minutes before 5pm just needed a plug for the driver rear tire & a TPMS sensor (that I provided) put on for the passenger front tire and this is what I walk out with. When I checked out the work I called Danny B. Out to take a look with me and the moment he noticed the damage he tried to deny everything and brush me off like I just walked off the street. This isn't "professional service" I could of gone literally any mom & pops tire shop but I didn't to not have (unprofessionals work on my vehicle) but I came here for the name/recognition and the so called "professionals" to avoid these kinda things! and when I ask if I could have a paper signed by him that we at least had this conversation, so he doesn't try to deny that it didn't happen or did the walk around when I come in Monday to speak with someone about it (1/24/22 because as he puts it "He has to talk to his manager" and he won't sign my receipt (Danny b.) nor write down that we had this conversation/discussion, he just kept trying to get me out the door because they were closing *pictures of that fiasco included below* (which I understand 100% it's "closing time" but if you just damaged someone property make an exception like you'll expect if it was your property that was damaged by a shop) but he wasn't understanding my property was just damaged and bad! I honestly don't even feel safe driving on these tires with how much rubber they took off from them & hanging off, nor did Danny b. Seem to care for taking care of the issue. Other then "i can lock you in here or you can leave" I take my personal property serious and handle it with care & as well as others property! so when I see someone else not doing the same and completely abusing my property I don't take it nicely because every last dime & penny comes out of my pocket. I honestly want reimbursed for the tires and the cost for the rims repair, this is a botch job & not professional by any means of the word. (Rims and tires are brand new reason why I'm so irate of the situation) anyone who know how expensive billets rims are for truck, will take tender loving care of these beautiful work of arts and to have someone else just completely ruin that and scratch/ding them up as well take out huge chucks of material out while doing a simple plug job & installing a sensor is hurtful and shameful. read more

If I could leave a 0 star review, I would. I had an appointment at this establishment. Upon my arrival they told me they could not honor my appointment because they were too backlogged from a weather shut down. Very understandable and I was fine with that, and I offered to leave my car so they could work on it when they had time. The man working the front desk was incredibly rude throughout the entire situation, laughed when I offered to leave it to accommodate them, and proceeded to tell me they would just have to charge for everything they do without calling to inform me on what they found because they just didn't have time. Ironically he had plenty of time to lose my business though. read more

Finding a mechanic you can trust is certainly a challenge. However, since finding Goodyear Auto, I haven't had that problem. I've been bringing my cars to Goodyear now for the past eight years, and have been happy every time I bring them. They do an excellent job of explaining the work that needs to be done, and give a clear estimate of the cost. One of the services I uses the most is the courteous shuttle service. Sine the shop is located near my job, I usually drop of my car in the morning, have them take me to work, and then pick it up at the end of the day. Check them out, they're definitely worth it. read more

Unfortunately, their customer service swings drastically depending on the day apparently. We began our journey with Goodyear because my wife ran over a nail and the shop is only down the street from our home. I made a appointment online and was pleasantly surprised to find the tire repair was free. We dropped the car off and also went ahead and made an appointment for her to have an oil change Mon 4/26 because we are so impressed we had planned to make this our regular shop. Then the trouble began. I made a second oil change appointment, again online, for my vehicle for the same Monday after my wife's appointment and figured we would go have dinner during this time since the service time was 3 HOURS. I screenshot the confirmation and went about my weekend. Monday comes and my wife takes her car in, no problem. I get to Goodyear an hour or so later, see her car up in the air, and walk into the service center to get checked in. It's a different young man for me (Preston or Presley ?) and I tell him I'm a little early for my appointment but would like to go ahead and check in. He proceeds to try and tell me off for actually being late which I'm am shocked with because you would think this professional would know that the car he is according of being late is already being worked on Anyway I explain the earlier appointment was my wife's (across the room) and I am there for my 4 o'clock. He says he doesn't have it so I show the confirmation page. He looks at it twice and at his computer and all he could say was ‍ "That's weird, didn't come through." The whole interaction with him was rather rude and as if he didn't care if I was a customer or not. It was very irritating that this fumble was on their end and the best this man could come up with was "that's weird" and a half baked attempt to "try to get me in tomorrow." He even had the nerve to come back over to me and my wife and try to sell her some additional services. I think not. Very disappointed to have to try another shop after finding what we thought was going to be a good fit Also wish I would have looked at reviews sooner as apparently this has been a problem more than once. read more

On Tuesday this week I took my car to Goodyear for an oil change and check my driver side tire for a possible nail. The oil change went fine. But the sales person at Goodyear called to tell me that my tires were wearing and needed to be replaced. I asked did your service guy check for the nail because the tire keeps losing air. He says no but you do need new tires that's why. Sounds ridiculous right? I pick up my car and take it to a place called Precise Auto for the mechanic there to check the tire. There was a 3 inch nail in my tire that Goodyear failed to take out. Their business practices are obviously just to get over on women drivers. It was very dangerous for that person not to repair what I asked to be checked putting me in danger on the road. Do not take your vehicle to this place. Clearly they are liars and do not care about customer safety. read more

I've loved having this service center near school since I've been in Memphis. Any time I take my car there I know the problem is going to be fixed and they're not going to take advantage of my lack of knowledge about cars. They take the time to explain what's wrong and the options for how to fix it. When I needed to get an inspection for my NC tags they helped me figure out exactly what I needed to have done. I would recommend this place to anyone. read more

If I could give them a 0 I would. This is by far the worst place to go if you need an oil change. I only went there because it's right across the street from my clinic so it's convenient. I brought my car in at 11:30 am and the guy tells me an hour wait. 12:30 pm rolls around and another guy comes out and tells me the price they quoted me was wrong and I need a different type of oil almost $30 more AND they hadn't even started on my car so he said it would be an additional 2 hours. I don't know but a 2 hour oil change is not sitting right with me . If it is going to be over an hour then let your customers know!!! read more

Terrible customer service. I made an appointment online and came a few minutes early. When I was helped at the counter we found out my appointment wasn't sent to them which he condescendingly blamed on me. So I was told that the wait would be atleast a couple of hours. When I asked why he had his manager come over to the counter to answer. "This isn't jiffy lube if you want a 15 minutes oil change you should go there" then closed the screen and walked away. Took my vehicle in for an oil change and brake pad install. The brakes were not having any issues but another mechanic five months prior recommended changing them. After inspection the goodyear mechanic said he'd still wait on replacing them if it were his car. Never have I been to a car mechanic where I was talked OUT of getting work done! Made an appointment to get two tires and an oil change after having front end work done elsewhere. The price on the tires, Goodyear Integrity, was by far less expensive than any comparable tire I shopped. I arrived the day before my scheduled appointment and opted to put on a full set of tires. They did the work quickly and efficiently. Will definitely recommend. read more

Really disappointed with their service. After purchasing a set of tires, my TPMS light stayed on. After checking the code, it indicated a malfunction. I returned to Goodyear for repair and they wanted to charge me $90 to replace it. I stated it worked prior to them putting on the new tires and charging me for new a TPMS kit. All they could offer was for me to keep driving for a week or so and "maybe it will turn off". After spending almost $700 for tires, I am disappointed they would not stand behind their service over a $30 part. The TPMS sensor is inside the tire, so there is no way I could have messed it up. This had to have happened during the tire change and they refuse to support their work. read more

Service Manager Brian McDurmon and the good folks down at the Goodyear Auto Service Center on 1200 Union Street in Memphis, TN, literally came to our rescue with our old RV van's blown, flat tire. We experienced a very loud sidewall "blow-out" that somehow, by God's miraculous hand, did not cause the tire to deflate until it sat still overnight in the parking lot of the hotel next door. Our family and I experienced the blow-out approximately 2:30 AM on I-40 East about 10 miles west of the Mississippi River as we were travelling back home to NC after vacationing out west. In spite of the loud sound it made, we momentarily thought that the loud noise was from one of the many transfer trucks surrounding us at the time because the van did not wobble or drive any differently when it occurred. Fortunately, we made it safely to the hotel parking lot (the hotel being selected for our very brief overnight stay due to its being directly next door to the Goodyear Auto Service Center). Somehow, the tire was still partially inflated in spite of the blown off side-wall when we arrived at the hotel parking lot. The next morning, the tire was totally flat on the rim. Brian walked next door and assessed the situation. We eased our old RV van next door to the Service Center, and the kind, efficient, professional crew took off the blown tire and replaced it with our spare tire. We have some issues with some difficult tire lug bolts and nuts on that particular tire which would make it virtually impossible to change with regular hand-held tools. The Service Center did not have the odd tire size we needed in stock; and as we were in need of travelling back home that evening, we had to go to another local tire business to get 2 new rear tires. Even so, with great kindness and generosity to us strangers who were quickly travelling through, Brian refused to accept any payment for their help.
