Thankfully, Chips Auto Repair exceeded every expectation. They diagnosed the problems quickly--turns out I needed all four brake pads replaced, new spark plugs, and a repair on my right front axle. Half a day after bringing it in to NWSC, I had a car that purred, made no noises, not a whiff of gasoline, and ran like new. After my first full tank of gas, I calculated I was getting 34.2 mpg (it was interstate driving) which was around 35 mpg when the car was brand new. I couldn't believe it--I will be getting over 50 miles more per tank of gas. The price was significantly lower than my previous place (I checked the itemized receipt against an older one where some of the items were the same such as oil change). Definitely bang for my buck.
