My wife's car did not start up this morning, as her battery was dead. I was on vacation from my job, so she took my car to work. About 1:00 I called Goodyear and explained the situation, and asked if we could bring her car to Goodyear if I was able to jump it. They said yes. We arrived about 5:15. Teddy Guerra, the Store Manager helped us. He was absolutely wonderful!!! He was helping other people in person and on the phone. We were very impressed with Teddy's professionalism and politeness to us and everyone else. We were very lucky, as all we needed was a battery. My wife and I are very grateful, as we were taken care of very quickly by Teddy and his mechanics. Tomorrow I go back to work on time since they replaced the battery. Well we won't be going back. We got a reasonable rate on tires. We dropped our car off to have them installed. A few hours later they called us without our consent or permission telling us our car needed almost $500 worth of repairs air filter, oil filters, etc.... the list goes on and on. We have a regular mechanic and our car was actually just recently serviced and running great. We let them know without asking for permission before is really bad business practice. While driving through Temple on my way to Dallas for a meeting, my tire pressure warning light came on. The pressure fell quickly so I immediately pulled off to the access road. The tire went flat very quickly. When I removed it the inside was shredded. I drove to this location on the spare and they were able to get me back on the road in just over an hour so that I was able to make my meeting. So we had an appointment this morning for 9 AM for an oil change and I guess I put a tire rotation. My boyfriend waited 2 1/2 hours. When he asked why it was taking so long the managers response was "this isn't a jiffy lube or valvoline" fair, but very unprofessional. I had a coupon which states "17.50 off oil change of $35 or more" nothing specifically saying it had to be a certain oil. Yet the man said it had to be "SYNTHETIC" and even then when my bf told him he had a coupon prior to them actually doing the oil change he didn't voice that. My kids were driving back to college on Sunday when a low engine oil warning was displayed. We called at 5:40PM and Lee said come on in and we can check it out for them. They got there at 5:50 PM and the Goodyear team jumped in to diagnose the problem and then fix it. It turns out that the Toyota dealership that changed the oil did not put the gasket on the oil filter. Lee fixed the problem and refilled the oil, all at a reasonable price. Comforting to know there are trustworthy professionals in the area that will help out folks (like my kids and wife) who don't have in-depth knowledge on carrepairs. Arrived at the scheduled time and was rudely told that they basically don't connect in any fashion to their website and he acted like I should know better. He said it would take hours because there were other cars to be tended to, and that my reservation meant nothing. Maybe you should consider not being rude even if there was a glitch in the system, I would have been understanding if you tried to work with me. UNFRIENDLY, SLOW, and ridiculous experience! Can someone explain how it takes an hour and a half to get your oil changed when there are only two other customers and about 4 employees just standing around talking? There is no excuse! I have had no issues with this place yet. I have had to have a tire patched, a TPMS sensor replaced, and a back tail light replaced and the most it has cost me was $75 for the TPMS sensor which is pretty standard. I need to bring in my SUV and see if they can help me located the loose connection that is causing my air bag light to come on before I have to do my next safety inspection. Regardless, I trust them now to take care of my vehicle without robbing me blind in the process like most dealerships in the area do. Ironically, I haven't gotten any tires replaced by them yet, but the prices seem reasonable so if I need it, I will give them a chance. read more

I have taken our vehicles here no less than 4 times. Each time I was more than satisfied with the repair and the help I received. Today I took time off work to bring my vehicle in. I called in a couple of days prior to make sure they would work with my extended warranty company. I spoke to Phil. He said sure no problem we work with them all the time. I go in and they said no we don't work with them. I'm fine with that. That is their business decision. However the fact that I called ahead to make sure they did before I took time out of my day just to get there and be told that "Phil is a salesman he doesn't know anything" is what has me angry. Just wanted to warn other people about this place. Unfortunately I bought my tires from them as they are close to my house. In July, I brought my tires in to have them rotated as we were about to go on a long trip. The tires were purchased 15 months earlier with 50,000 mile tread. I received a call an hour later that they wouldn't rotate them as the tread was too worn down on the inside part of the tires. I inquired about what would cause such a problem and told that my alignment was horrible. Alignment was done at time of purchase 15 months prior. I had never felt the car pulling at all, so I was unsure how I would ever know the alignment was poor. They refused to honor the road hazard protection and told me that I must buy two new tires. I was short on time, so after some negotiating I finally agreed to two new tires and the three year alignment program. My wife went to pick the car up and they informed her that the right front wheel hub needed to be replaced for another $240. She left and I picked the car up. When I picked it up, I declined fixing the wheel hub and asked for the printout of the alignment readings as I was surprised it was so bad. The alignment records were mysteriously unable to be found. So I am unsure if it was ever done to begin with. Two months later, I needed to have the oil changed. Well since I got suckered into this three year alignment deal and I didn't want them to void my road hazard again, I had my wife bring the car in to have the oil changed, tires rotated and alignment. The inevitable phone call happened a little bit later with a quote over $675 for fuel induction cleaning, rear differential drain and refill, power steering flush, and new brake pads and resurfacing of rotors. I informed them to please complete the services that I had requested and nothing more. We brought our car into our mechanic for them to evaluate all of these issues. Was told that brake pads needed to be replaced but rotors were fine. Mechanic offered to perform maintenance fluids of power steering flush and rear differential but that neither was necessary. They checked the front wheel hubs and said everything was fine. I plan on never using their services again and hope that others read this so you know not to trust these guys. read more

I got tire rotation at a shop where I usually change car oil every time. The car was vibrating after that so I took my car to this Goodyear. I was told that because of misalignment the rear tires got damaged and when moved to the front it caused vibration so I needed to change these two tires. I agreed with this plan but I was surprised with the cost. It was $607 . They try to sell you three year alignment and life long balance and free rotating and road hazard protection plan and and and... They screw you up if you do not look at details. I am not expert so I can not tell if the quality of the service worth the money they charge but definitely they try to stick extra items in the invoice without you know about . Be careful. I consider it a steal. I will report the to the corporation. read more

Took my car in for a basic oil change and was told by the Asst. Mgr that my rear brakes needed replacing. He said that they were so bad that I also needed the rotors replaced as well. I told him that I didn't have time and he just kept pressing me. Said it was unsafe for me to drive the car and they could get it done pretty quickly. I once again told him that I didn't have time and then he tried to get me to agree to an AC service. I told him just the oil change is what I came in for. The next day at work, I told a coworker who is also a mechanic what happened and he said he would take a look for me. After looking at my car, he told me that not only were my rear rotors fine, but my brakes didn't need replacing. Said he didn't know why the guy told me that, but being a single female, I did. It happens all the time, but I have learned to always get a second opinion before having anything done to my car. Way too many crooks over the years have tried to scam me. I got a coupon for an oil change on the back of my HEB receipt and thought id try them. It was saturday about 4pm so i decided to call just to make sure they were open. They answered and said they were open until 7pm. At 5:20pm I loaded all my family in the van and we drove there. When we arrived the manager Phil said that they cant do an oil change as they were closing early. I HAD CALLED TO MAKE SURE THEY WOULD BE OPEN. I asked what time they were closing. They said 6 for a "company get together." Envisioning now beers after a slow afternoon. Even though they had nothing going on in the shop they told me an oil change would take 45 minutes. Wow. They must have all brand new people if they are that slow at oil changes when they have no other customers. A good company would have honored the fact they told me an hour or so earlier that they would be open until 7. And even if they started on my "45 minute oil change" when i got there they would have finished at 6:15pm. I left. read more

NOT IMPRESSED! Staff was friendly...that's about it. Went in for an oil change and wanted to see if they could fix my gas tank which was having issues. Offered a free tire rotation so I agreed. An hour later, employee stated I needed new ball joints, a coolant flush, and that they couldn't find anything wrong with my gas tank. Total would be close $550, not to include the oil change. Offered me the good year credit card to "help save 5%" on the repairs, which I denied. When I stated I needed to get a second opinion, they said well you shouldn't drive too far because the bad ball joint you have can cause you to loose control of the steering and control of the car. Took a printout of the recommendations to another auto shop in which that shop spent an hour and a half with me. They told me that nothing was wrong with my ball joint, and my coolant was adequate. They also found a faulty gas valve which was causing my issues with my gas tank. After getting my second opinion, I now know they were trying to take advantage of this situation ( aka me not knowing ANYTHING about cars) and were going to "fix" things on my car that didn't need fixing. I will never return to this location as I am totally put off by my experience. read more
