This was so fun! It's not near the beach, but it's not too far inland. My husband and I went here twice while in Ft. Walton on vacation. (Ha!) There are 2 courses, and it's $3 per adult per course. The first day, we played both, and on the last round, Chris won a free game (by getting a hole in one on the 18th hole). So the next day, the weather was STILL sucking (just not quite warm enough for the beach), so we went back to use our free pass. We just played one round this time, but I kind of wanted to play the other one again as well. LOL. It was cute and fun! If I lived nearby, I'd go every once in a while. Decided to check it out since most of the reviews were good. What a waste of a trip. The place is falling apart, the one hole has a metal castle that your ball gets stuck under and if you're not careful you could end up needing a tetanus shot. Their bathrooms are atrocious, and the kid at the desk cannot be bothered. You definitely get what you pay for here. Will not be back. read more

We visit this place every time we are in the area (which is one to three times a year) and absolutely LOVE it each time! My five year old daughter has been golfing here since she was two and she looks forward to coming every time we come down to the "beach house". It is a cheap (Prices are $3 for adults and $1.50 for children (under 12 you)) and fun activity for the entire family! Some motorized parts were not working throughout the course on this most recent visit (053112), but, when asked, we were told that the motors were acting up and that they were going to be fixed...this small issue did not effect the fun or enjoyment, but I can't wait till they are back up and running! read more

I was visiting the Fort Walton area with my wife and 2 young daughters. My oldest daughter spotted this place the first day we were in town and would not be denied. We went in the early evening as the sun was starting to set and a nice breeze was blowing so the temperature mixed with the humidity wasn't unbearable. We enjoyed Course 1 on this visit and we all had a blast until a group of boys got behind us and made us play faster than we wanted. The place is old and needs some updates but for the price you can't beat it. We had so much fun we went back the next day. 3 stars for price and family fun. A few cosmetic and functionality improvements would easily land this place a consistent 4 stars. read more

If you want to see what Florida Tourism used to be like, before you were a name in a spreadsheet with how much Revenue Per Hour the Suits expect to extract from you and your Family, Goofy Golf is your place...There is a reason this place is written up in books like Dixie before Disney and Roadside America...That reason is it's the good cheap kitschy fun that Florida was known for in the 50's..60's..70's, before developers started bulldozing all these type attractions for Hotels and Condos...Four Generations of my family have been coming here and we still have a blast every time we show up..Goofy Golf was 50 cents for a kid and a 1.50 for an adult when I first started coming and now today it's still only a 1.50 for a kid and 3.00 for an adult....Plus you can get a post round Slushie for 50 cents....You can bring a Family of four here cheaper than one can play at the Miniature Golf Course in Destin...Not much has changed at Goofy Golf in the 50+ years it's been open...it still has 2 courses with Course 1 being the more difficult course of the two courses and Course 2 being more child friendly...both courses have the kitschy animals and obstacles that can bedevil you if your not putting well...happy to report the massive Dino is back guarding the place as well, locals paid for his restoration after he was knocked down by a storm and time....both courses share the 17th and 18th holes...17 is a blast as it's straight up hill and you can swing your club like its a driver and just launch your golf ball..on more than one occasion I've sent my golf ball rocketing across Eglin Parkway...then you get to 18..the dreaded snakes mouth hole...you make a hole in one here and you win a free game...when I was a kid, I always tried to walk up and stuff it in the snakes mouth with my hand like I was the first kid that had ever thought of that ,and not surprisingly the old man always caught me!!....I still get as excited as Nicklaus did when he sank the putt on 17 in The 86 Masters, when on the rare occasion I make it in the snakes mouth and I raise my putter in the same triumphant manner as well....one tip I will give you for snakes mouth success....much easier to make it by banking your ball off the rail instead of going straight at the mouth..I highly recommend coming to Goofy Golf for a day or night of good cheap family fun when you are sick of the beach..Yes she's showing a little wear and tear around the edges after 50 years,but heck aren't we all? read more

Me and my little guy had fun playing at goofy golf. Cash only!! I passed my cc to the high school kid and gave me this funny look but was nice enough to point me to the nearest ATM. Perfect time of day was right before sunset, but the gnats were ridiculous so pack some bug spray. Only $3.00 for adults and %1.50 for kids 12 and under. The guy behind the counter let me know that course on the left by the dinosaur is a bit easier for the younger kids than the other one. It was pretty short but sometimes you just need one round in this summer humidity. It's away from the touristy stuff and the parking is alright along the side street. Open 10am-9:30pm weather permitting, pretty cool spot. Will return. read more

Goofy Golf is our choice for family fun time! It's inexpensive and never gets old. The best times to go are in the morning or late afternoon/evening, because there is little shade. This is the oldest surviving Goofy Golf and it shows it's age, but it's fun and the price is right! read more

Terrible management!!!!! Called before we went to see if it was open. Said it was open until 8:30... then go there and weather was great at 7 but sign was up and said closed. After speaking to staff they said we had to be out by 8:30 (which was NO PROBLEM). Then staff came back out at 8:15 and said we had to leave so they could make payroll. That's very unprofessional and disappointing for little kids trying to finish the game. Don't waste your money. The course was very outdated anyway. This is a classic Fort Walton venue. We have been going here since I was a little kid and now I will continue to take my children. The prices are really reasonable for mini golf ($3 for adults/$1.50 for children). This golf course is in need of some real TLC though. This is to be expected because of its age, but some of the things are really simple like replacing the missing numbers at the holes, sweeping leaves of the course, etc. I would definitely recommend stopping by if you are looking for something fun and cheap to do. read more

Based on other reviews we thought we would try this place. Then, we saw it..how could you not want to go here?!?!? I can't remember the last time I saw, let alone went to, a mini-golf place with windmills or any actual moving obstacles. Also it cost our family of 5 $10.50 to golf here. That's it, and it was more fun than any huge golf place filled with ponds and waterfalls. One other thing to note..there are no fences around the street sides of this place. Needless to say watch how hard your kids hit that ball! Because of course, no adult would hit their ball too hard and have to run across the street to catch it. Definitely not me....... read more

Have drove by this place for years and finally we decided to stop by and enjoy some putt putt style golf by only to be denied cause I didn't have cash. What freakin establishment Doesent take debit card and Doesent have a sign visible from the road. I would have not been as mad if they had a Atm machine on the premises. Although now I know that next time we should bring cash I refuse to go there and give my money to people that don't give a rats ass about updating their buisiness to the current times. It Doesent take much to had debit card capability. I see merchants selling stuff at flea markets and on the street corners with debit card readers. How hard is it to have this luxury for people that don't carry cash with them all the time. The courses at Goofy Golf are a lot of fun. If you're looking for an old-school kitschy mini-golf experience, this is the place. Having said that, the management is RUDE. We chose Course 1 originally and at one of the holes there was a long line-up of about 8 people waiting to play through, so we decided to hop over to Course 2 to play a few holes over there. Apparently that was a big mistake. We didn't know we weren't allowed to play both courses, but the owner approached us like we were a couple of thieves. We gladly paid him again for the second course, but when he brought us our change he told us that we weren't allowed to take any pictures and we had to finish this course as quickly as possible. If there had been anyone playing behind us this would have been understandable, but there wasn't. We were playing the course in a timely manner, we only stopped twice to take pictures at the holes where we had each gotten a hole-in-one. It ended up ruining our evening and we left without even finishing the course. It's definitely possible to have fun at Goofy Golf, but if you're planning on taking pictures and making memories, I'd suggest going to one of the numerous other mini-golf places nearby. read more

I have been going to Goofy Golf since the mid-90s and I can honestly say that it has only gone downhill as the only positive aspect now is the price (even though that price has tripled since I started going). We went on Veteran's Day to get out of the house and enjoy time family who was in town and I will say this is the last time I will go. The man behind the counter was rude and made comments because we were not sure how many adults and children would be playing. After a couple of minutes of this treatment I decided I would no longer give my money to this business when its employee treated customers negatively. I am not sure who this person was and he could have even been the owner but if he was not you might want to have a talk with the employee who was working 11/11 around 1300. read more

I used to love this place as a kid. My grandparents are locals, so I'm only here once a year or less. With small children of my own, I thought it would be a great experience to share. Unfortunately, it seems like the places has had zero maintenance in 20+ years. They also allow smoking. While it might be outdoors, it's a relatively small space for 34 holes (last two are shared) of mini golf. Add a pregnant wife to the mix and cigarette smoke makes this a no-go. They need to fix the place and stop allowing smokers. Used to be 5-stars, but steadily losing them! read more
