Stopped in on trivia night and had a decent time overall. The atmosphere was lively, the crowd was engaged, and trivia was fun. The service was solid and the staff kept up well despite the place being busy. The food, however, was pretty much what you'd expect from a dive bar, nothing terrible, but nothing memorable either. If you're looking for great food, this probably isn't the destination. If you're looking for a casual place to grab a drink, hang out, and enjoy trivia with friends, it gets the job done. read more

Great neighborhood sports bar. There is outside seating as well as a huge bar, and many tables and high tops. People of all ages are always there including many regulars. The menu is fairly priced with M-T lunch specials including fries and a draft. Some of my favorites are onion rings, cheeseburger, fish spread and the hot sausage. We arrived at 12 today and our food arrived at 12:45 which meant we had to get it to go. The service was underwhelming. There was one girl running the whole restaurant and one behind the bar. And while I feel bad for them, a burger and a bag of chips shouldn't take 45 minutes. It kind of stinks when you walk in like an old college bar. Some folks may not mind this part. Okay. I've become a regular customer, but as the popularity of their daily lunch specials has skyrocketed, I can no longer give Goose's a 4 or 5-star rating. In recent weeks, I've had to wait longer and longer for my food to be delivered to the table. Today was the WORST! I waited for my food for nearly an hour! My waitress stopped by occasionally to say, "sorry it's taking so long, but the kitchen is backed up." Finally, the food came to the table, and I couldn't believe it. I had ordered the Philly Cheese sandwich plain -- emphasizing "No veggies." It came with veggies. I walked out and don't know when I will return, if ever. It took Hurricane Idalia to finally get us to stop by and we're glad we did. The barrier island bridges were still closed and we were in search of a place to go for food and to hang out while we waited to be allowed back over the bridge. We found the place packed with people in the same situation and it didn't impact the service or experience. We were surprised to find really reasonable food and drink prices so close to the beach. While the menu is your typical bar food, they had really affordable daily food/drink combo specials that can't be beat. The day we happened to be there was the chicken finger w/fries feature. The portion was perfect for lunch and the fries were plentiful. The bar has plenty of TVs to watch a variety of sporting events depending on the day. They offer a juke box to offer some music if you need to liven up the place. Our server was great. She was able to balance all of the customers in her section and never made us feel like we needed to leave because we had been there too long. We'll be back for sure! read more

The wait staff is very friendly and will answer any questions. In my case I had the fish and chips and she asked if I wanted any malt vinegar? Absolutely and thanks. My brother was with me and ordered the wings. He said we shouldn't have come so close to opening because the wings weren't as top notch as he was bragging about. This awesome local bar was so perfect to hit while I was next door doing laundry. I'm new to the area and decided to come during the day early afternoon was searching for a great local spot. The owner was super friendly and funny! The regular customers were even nice as well. Such a positive vibe dive bar. The bar food was served nice and fast and the bartenders were really sweet and accommodating. I was hesitant to walk In because of the other bad reviews but I figured I'd give it a try! I'm not sure about the evening hours but I feel like the whole experience was perfect and awesome in so many ways for a local chill spot and friendly people. Has to be the worst place in town. Sat at bar with a date for over 10 minutes, couldn't get service from anyone. Many of the bartenders were goofing off at the other end and much of the staff gave me the evil eye. I left and went to another place. I'd stay clear of this place. read more

I've been coming here solid since 2021. Made friends with a lot of people. Food is good. Drinks are good price. The only problem I have is the management. They kicked me out when their cook is there. Because I helped him out with a job and he had a problem paying me. I forgave him and wrote it off. But he threatened to hurt me if I come in. Then the owner told me I'm not allowed there because I notified him of the problem. Instead of getting rid of the employee who threatened me, he kicked the humble guy who tips good out? Now I know where all the patrons go that don't have American Legion or VFW membership. The ultimate in bar food. All the staples no surprises. Easy to distinguish the patrons from the servers! AARP cards!! I absolutely dig this place and although the food and drink are nothing special the service was exceptional. I presume it is very different before 11 PM. I can speak to after 11 PM. You will get panhandled in the bathroom, see the drunkest people (including employees) you will ever see, and probably get in a fight over pool or darts. It's a real adventure for the locals.
