I wanted a $40 gift certificate. I was told they only sell increments of $25 . So I was gong to do the $50. That is until they gave me 5 gift certificates of $10. When I questioned the waitress she told me they were left over from Christmas . So based on principle I declined . They won't miss my money and I plan on supporting other locals now. First time checking out The Joint in St Pete and it was a great experience!! All staff were very friendly and hospitable our entire time while we were there!! Atmosphere was cool with plenty of games on the televisions, along with cool decor throughout the bar/restaurant!! Ordered the Honey Teriyaki CauliflowerBites as an appetizer which was excellent!!! Ordered a couple of their burgers which were served quickly and they were huge!! Flavor for everything was amazing!!! Look forward to stopping in again to try more items on their menu. They have an interesting selection of menu items from appetizers to burgers, entrees and more!! Also a full bar as well!! The Joint is a dive bar with pretty good lunch special prices. The inside seating is all on high chairs and high tables which my 90 year-old mother could not negotiate so we sat outside at a regular table. Since it's November, the temperature was fine and there was a breeze. We had no problem sitting outside. Mom ordered the $9.95 Tuesday special of chicken fajitas and I ordered the $12.95 anti pasta salad, which came with a tasty Italian dressing. Both dishes were average but good value for the price. The service was fast. The food was good overall I would rate it 3.5 stars, but since I always round up that gives The Joint four stars. read more

Went in there for a burger and fries....the burger was average....it was early evening and the place was not very packed at all...It was a calm dining experience until the Karaoke guy came in and set up his laptop and speakers...That guy put some lame music on and it was so loud I couldn't even hear my waitress speak...It was absolutely awfulm..Talk about ruining a meal...I mean the guy had no clue of what was going on around him...No one was drinking and whooping it up...it was calm people (one group with children) dining mostly ....I saw two guys as they were leaving pretend to shut the guy's laptop off...I wish they would have. read more

I ended up here after searching high and low in Pinellas County for a breaded pork tenderloin sammich. I was not disappointed. Crispy well seasoned breading, moist and flavorful pork, nice little bun, with pickles, mustard, lettuce, tomato and mayonnaise. Ketchup, mustard and mayo are right by the table in squeeze bottles, go for it! The french fries were good, as was the Arnold Palmer, which was refilled without me having to ask, very nice. I thought our server was named Sarah, but the receipt says "Cheech!", with the exclamation point included. She was very friendly. My sister had the same as me, but no mustard. She concurs as to the quality of the food and service. The atmosphere says "dive bar", from the worn sheet metal tabletops to the restroom signs, "BOOBS" and "BALLS". The music on the speakers was classic rock with some country thrown in. The Dive Bar Channel. But it seemed that only the left channel, or right channel, was working. 5-star dive bar!! I love casual and comfortable places like this where really anything goes... My husband and I came here to watch a game. We sat at the rowdy bar where people couldn't be friendlier! We ordered honey bbq tenders and "crabby" fries (w/ old bay & queso). This was the PERFECT combo to share. The tenders were great but we couldn't stop commenting on the fries; crispy, well-seasoned and served with warm cheesy ooey-gooey queso. I discovered this place just a few months ago and have been back several times. I had the best chicken parmesan that I've ever had in my entire life there and the price was dirt cheap. The wait staff has been very friendly. My only minor complaint is that it's a pretty small place and sometimes difficult to get in but that's a minor quibble. So far so good when it comes to getting seated in a reasonable amount of time. Five stars for sure! read more

Food: All the food is great here, Paul's balls was their unique novelty menu item fried crispy with good turkey meat inside and stuffing - surprisingly very filling and delicious. The Cheesesteak was very authentic. A great roll with chopped meat and melted-in provolone. We'd easily put it up against any other sandwich trying to be authentic in the area. Service: The service is always great here. We've been a few times, and all of the employees are very attentive and friendly. Atmosphere: So is this a bar with great food, or a restaurant with a great bar? We don't know the answer to this, but it is a smaller sports bar environment with a room in the back. This place was great, especially if like Dead Bobs (same owner). Juli our server was so sweet and helpful...very attentive and had great recommendations. We stuck with appetizers this time. Hi got the tacos and they were great, they came with a side of baked beans which I normally don't love but these were sweet and delicious. Fries were thick and crunchy. They have outdoor and indoor seating. I would recommend you check this place out, even with the opportunities below.... Tip : sit inside as the flies outside get back and won't let you eat in peace. Over the weekend, I stopped by The Joint for a late night burger. I have seen great reviews for this place and I definitely agreed with them after my experience. I grabbed a seat at the bar and the bartender greeted me quickly. I placed an order for a big gooey with onions, jalapenos, and pickles. I went with a side of tots over fries. I also enjoyed a cocktail while I waited. My burger came out shortly after I placed my order and it looked good. They gave me fries by mistake, but fixed that quickly. The burger was cooked properly and was super juicy. I was very happy with my meal. Hard to go wrong with a big gooey. Overall, I really enjoyed my first visit to The Joint. Went here for a work event and we had a good time! One of our teammates is a regular here and she swears by the place. Service was pretty awful but apparently that's an anomaly. Atmosphere is divey. Food quality is great though! I enjoyed my meatball sub, the burgers looked delicious, and the tots (stuffed and non-stuffed) were on point. I'm not drinking at the moment but it looked like the beer menu was respectable and they had several White Claw options, plus wine and mixed drinks. Stopped in at lunch and there was one parking spot left and two barstools. Yes! This place was rocking and the food orders were flying out. One bartender and one server handling a great lunch hour to a full house. Tuesdays most drinks are $2 and the special was chicken fried steak. We decided on the fish sandwich with fries which was served with onion, tomato and lettuce. Perfectly prepared and delicious. The other order was calamari which proved to look good but it needed to be fried longer. Gooey, not rubbery, comes to mind and it was unpalatable. This was mentioned to the bartender when we asked for the check and she saw that it had barely been touched. She offered to have it re-made but we had to go.
