The Joint is a dive bar with pretty good lunch special prices. The inside seating is all on high chairs and high tables which my 90 year-old mother could not negotiate so we sat outside at a regular table. Since it's November, the temperature was fine and there was a breeze. We had no problem sitting outside. Mom ordered the $9.95 Tuesday special of chicken fajitas and I ordered the $12.95 anti pasta salad, which came with a tasty Italian dressing. Both dishes were average but good value for the price. The service was fast. The food was good overall I would rate it 3.5 stars, but since I always round up that gives The Joint four stars.

Great food and prices. Unfortunately the clientele is W.T. I've personally witnessed customers getting physically violent with staff members on multiple occasions. Management is either too stupid or too lazy to do anything about it.

Breaded pork tenderloin sandwich, a Hoosier classic, right here in St Pete!

I ended up here after searching high and low in Pinellas County for a breaded pork tenderloin sammich. I was not disappointed. Crispy well seasoned breading, moist and flavorful pork, nice little bun, with pickles, mustard, lettuce, tomato and mayonnaise. Ketchup, mustard and mayo are right by the table in squeeze bottles, go for it! The french fries were good, as was the Arnold Palmer, which was refilled without me having to ask, very nice. I thought our server was named Sarah, but the receipt says "Cheech!", with the exclamation point included. She was very friendly. My sister had the same as me, but no mustard. She concurs as to the quality of the food and service. The atmosphere says "dive bar", from the worn sheet metal tabletops to the restroom signs, "BOOBS" and "BALLS". The music on the speakers was classic rock with some country thrown in. The Dive Bar Channel. But it seemed that only the left channel, or right channel, was working. I wasn't aware of it, but my sister is a musician, and did notice it. Vocals, percussion, but no guitar, so I had to take away a star for that.

Hoosiers Pork Tenderloin Sandwich with fries. Tasty, filling and delicious!

The service is always great. Thier food is delicious, with huge portions and at a great price too! I highly recommend The Joint.

Came in after a beach day and I'm glad we did! We just got the fried green tomatoes and my friend had a Bloody Mary that really impressed her. The service was great, and the story behind this place is pretty funny. I'd love to come back and try more off the menu!

5-star dive bar!! I love casual and comfortable places like this where really anything goes... My husband and I came here to watch a game. We sat at the rowdy bar where people couldn't be friendlier! We ordered honey bbq tenders and "crabby" fries (w/ old bay & queso). This was the PERFECT combo to share. The tenders were great but we couldn't stop commenting on the fries; crispy, well-seasoned and served with warm cheesy ooey-gooey queso. We already can't wait to come back here on our next trip to Florida! :)

Such a good restaurant, the stuffed taters are to die for. I got the Caprese chicken sandwich and it was so good, usually i don't like grilled chicken since it's fatty or tendon-y but this one was perfect. so good. and service is great. Love a good little hole in the wall Good ambience and food, prefer this over dead bobs one since it's less bar like!

What a great little gem! Walked in and knew immediately we were going to like this place. Great homey atmosphere and lively staff. Hubby got the pic of the day Burger. Three piggies. It's Burger pork meat mixture with ham and bacon jam lettuce tomato onion. I got the hogfish nuggets. Everything was fresh and tasted yummy! Homemade tartar sauce and could be a little thicker but still great tasting. The fries were nice and crisp. They even serve $3 PBRs! Keep up the good work. Highly recommend. We will be back with our friends.

I genuinely like this place, but my latest visit was a gentle reminder that even the greats have their off nights. We grabbed a spot on the outdoor patio, which is great because there are tons of TVs playing sports to keep you entertained. And you're going to need that entertainment, because the vibe this particular evening was heavily operating on "island time." I started to wonder if our server had to physically row to an island to get our order. It was a very long wait just to be acknowledged, and an even longer wait for drinks. Funniest part? My beer arrived well before my water. I was incredibly parched, and while I appreciate a cold brew, I didn't exactly want to shotgun my beer just to survive the drought. The tap water finally made its grand, triumphant entrance a solid 20 minutes after we sat down. When it came time to order, we met the Upcharge Enthusiast. Here's the deal: burgers come with rice and beans by default. If you want Bob's fries, that's a $2 upcharge. I tried to shoot for the stars and upgrade to onion rings. The response? A firm, almost offended no. "Those are an appetizer," I was informed. Honestly, our server seemed to derive a bizarre, villainous amount of joy from telling me things were an upcharge. Hey, whatever brings you happiness, just take my two dollars and make the fries happen. After the drinks took a serious scenic route, the food came blazingly fast out of the kitchen, but when it finally arrived...wow. The burgers here are absolute behemoths. You literally have to unhinge your jaw like an anaconda to take a bite. I have to admit, they are undeniably amazing. One bite almost makes you forget you spent the first half of the evening contemplating drinking water out of a patio planter. Pro-tip: Bring paper money! They give you a nice little discount if you pay in cash. Overall, I still really like this joint. Every restaurant is allowed to have a rough service night every now and then, and this just happened to be one of them. I'll definitely be back although I just might pre-hydrate in the parking lot next time.

We arrived at 5:30 and it was packed, but a table opened for us within two minutes. The ambiance was awesome, with each table having its own miniTV! Guests didn't have to choose between watching Wimbledon or the World Cup (or anything else they chose). Such a clever idea and probably great for entertaining kids, too. The server was prompt and friendly, and we got our drinks and app ordered immediately. We split the corn dog as an appetizer (felt right for 4th of July), and my husband declared it was one of the best he ever had. A great ratio of the sweet fried dough and salty hot dog. Definitely a reasonable portion to split as an appetizer and still have room for an entree. We got the tomato and corn salad as a side, which was a nice palate cleanser. I got the bacon cheeseburger (sub a pretzel bun, which you can absolutely do) and my husband got the Van Helsing. Both were excellent. He got regular fries and I got sweet potato fries and a side salad, also fantastic. My meal was exactly what I wanted - a classically delicious cheeseburger (I removed the bacon and put it on my side salad, which I highly recommend). My husband's had perfectly cooked garlic cloves and a nice zest with the jalapeños. They also had a great tap list to go wash everything down! We left stuffed but not feeling like we were going to die. It was a wonderful experience for start to finish and we'll be back!

I ordered the One Bad Pig with a side of sweet potato fries and of course had to get an extra side of tator tots because I love them. The burger was very good and juice, hard to eat because it's so big, but I managed to do it. The tots were crispy just like I like them and the fries were your typical sweet potato fries but very good. The service was attentive and good and it seemed to be a local crowd and was a nice vibe. It is off the beaten path so not too touristy but the locals know about it so it gets crowded. I highly recommend this place for a burger if you are wanting one!!
