Choice of salad and Beef Wellington, Crispy skin Salmon and Short ribs (they were delicious) Sadly we all wanted Lobster Risotto. So what they told us to do by the manager was to order what was the Prix fix menu and then Lobster Risotto on top of that. Seriously?. The Risotto was so over processed it tasted more like grits then what it should have been. There was no grain it was smooth. That was very disappointing. We ordered the Sea food tower but had no proper utensils to pull out the lobster from their claws. Lastly I requested pepper for my mediocre Caesar Salad. As one of the waiters grinded some on my dish he would say "enough" I would say no...Some of our group enjoyed the food. Many thought that for $4500.00 it was insulting. Perhaps it was a bad night. But I can say this, nobody said it was fantastic our amazing. It was all right. For that amount of money it should not just be all right. The design of the place was very nice. It wasn't busy at all when I went in January for my birthday but I was surprised that the food was just okay. I tried the infamous beef Wellington and lobster risotto; I wasn't too crazy about the beef Wellington maybe because of the pastry but something seemed off and the risotto was good but a bit too salty for my taste. Dessert was the best part and I even got a free one for my birthday which made this a really special experience. What an experience! And that's what I consider into the price tag of a meal here. From start to finish, you're immersed into a whole dining journey. The service was one of the most attentive and personable I've seen as of late. The decor was beautifully done and I think fans of the show will enjoy it. But the menu is the true highlight. Starting with the "Smoke On The Boardwalk"... I had no idea it would be presented in a smoked up chamber delivered straight to the table. Solid drink. The butter poached lobster truffle risotto had some of the best lobster I've had (just wish there was a better lobster to risotto ratio). And the iconic Beef Wellington couldn't have been better - what a hunk of a portion... and that puff pastry! Didn't get to try any dessert but overall the whole evening was a delight. First time here. Chia our wonderful waitress explained the menu and provided great recommendations. She suggested the Beef Wellington which I ordered. My wife ordered the filet mignon. Both dishes cooked to perfection!! The two sides ( Mac and cheese and the Brussels sprouts were excellent) were take homes due to too much food with the main courses and how could I forget the Wagyu meatball appetizer!! Came here tonight to celebrate one of our friends reaching 7 stars. Some of the dishes were a hit and some were a miss. Having watched a few episodes of Hell's Kitchen I had high expectations, we ordered one of every entree.. was not impressed with the ribs it was very dry imo and needed some sauce to go with it... we. Ended up ordered 2 (one for each side of the table and it was the only entree nobody finished) the beef Wellington was a let down too, I've had two home made beef Wellington that I thought tasted better, my friend whom ordered the salmon said it was average or slightly above average but nothing amazing.... We ordered Mac and cheese for the kids and the cauliflower and were not impressed The highlights were the shrimp cocktails those were really good and the Brussels sprout and the lamb and the tartare was only okay. Glad we tried it but we were not blown away. I chose Hell's Kitchen Atlantic City for my 40th birthday, expecting a world-class experience. Instead, it was one of the most disappointing meals I've ever had -- and I say this as someone who has dined at Gordon Ramsay's restaurants all over the world. For my husband's 40th, we celebrated at Hell's Kitchen in Washington, DC, and the service, food, and overall experience were outstanding. Atlantic City was the exact opposite. Our waitress had no customer service skills, got our order wrong, and never acknowledged my birthday -- not even with the deserts we ordered. The staff member who refilled our water showed more genuine hospitality than our server. It was disheartening and unworthy of the Ramsay name. We had specifically requested a table near the kitchen to enjoy the full "Hell's Kitchen" atmosphere, as we did in DC. Instead, we were placed by a door, far from the energy of the restaurant. On such an important day, it felt dismissive and careless. The food was equally disappointing. I've enjoyed Beef Wellington at multiple Ramsay restaurants worldwide, and this was by far the weakest execution I've ever seen. It lacked the flavor, texture, and refinement that make his signature dish so iconic. If Gordon himself had seen it, he would have shut it down. For a milestone birthday, this felt like a slap in the face. Having traveled and dined at Ramsay's restaurants across the globe, I know what excellence looks like -- and this was nowhere close. Started off with some famous Hell's Kitchen staples: Lobster Risotto was excellent - creamy and delicious, lobster nicely cooked. Pan seared scallops on the other hand were barely seared on the bottom and cold in the middle, I asked to have the app redone but it was not good either. Baked Mac and Cheese and meatballs were nothing special at all; neither was the sticky toffee pudding - it was just ok. My biggest disappointment and the dish I have been dreaming to try - the world famous beef Wellington- was just not good- I was looking forward to crisp pastry and that delicious bite but the pastry was soggy and the filet was simply bland. The restaurant is a bit beyond our price range so we came just to try an app and drink. The wagyu meatballs were a good portion for two people, 4 large meatballs with quite good polenta croutons (maybe a bit too melted cheese in the sauce but the meatballs were juicy and not overly breaded). Cocktail was the Paloma which sounded unique on the menu but didn't taste like anything special. All still pretty overpriced. It's tough to get reservations but we noticed lots of open seating for walkins on the bar level -- just a tip! read more

My first time at any of Gordon Ramsay's restaurants except his Pub at Caesar's. I was impressed. I made reservations which is probably a good idea. It's located on the 2nd floor of the casino and there's a bar and a counter to check in. They took us straight down to our table and got us seated right away. The seating is level below the counter. The layout is nice and fancy but it also has a casual feel which is nice. You can watch your meal being prepared as it's somewhat of an open kitchen and of course it's divided by blue and red. Our server, Linda, was awesome. Let us know the specials and came back just at the right time to take our order. If she's your server, you'll be well taken care of. The food was delicious. We dined here for our anniversary and brought our 10 year old foodie son with us! It was a wonderful experience and super fun watching The Foodie enjoy himself as he hopefully panned the restaurant for Gordon to call someone a donut! The staff was very attentive, friendly and personable! The food was everything you can expect! All three of us enjoyed flavorful fun mocktails (that were graciously and unexpectedly comped on our bill)! We shared the apps - pan seared scallops and lobster risotto - both were velvety and luscious! I couldn't spoon the food on The Foodie's plate fast enough - he was shoveling it in so "fanciful" and fast - ha ha! My hubs ordered the 20 ounce ribeye, I chose the filet, and The Foodie opted for the prix fixe to include the signature Beef Wellington - all were perfectly prepared! We also enjoyed the scrumptious baked mac and cheese and papas bravas. We crowned our meal with tantalizing Sticky Toffee Pudding (of course), a giant peanut butter cup/bomb called Peanut Butter Decadence (The Foodie pretty much devoured this dessert on his own) and the hubs recharged with a 0-100 in 30 seconds espresso. "It's freakin raw!!!" I mean, how can a family of Hell's Kitchen lovers not dine at the newest location upon its grand opening?!! We were incredibly excited to have the chance to try Gordon's delicacies. The restaurant is stunning and modern. I loved the huge neon quote above the steps and all of the winners photos on the wall. Service was as expected, fabulous! To start, J and I OBVIOUSLY had to try Gordon's signature cocktails. I got Notes From Gordon and J got the Smoke on the Boardwalk. Not only was my "note from Gordon" adorable, the drink was out of this world. I'm the type that HATES the taste of alcohol, but this green tea infused gin hit differently. It was light and every sip was so refreshing. While I didn't try J's, the presentation was amazing (unfortunately I didn't get my phone out in time) and served in a lantern with tons of smoke. We couldn't not get the butternut lobster risotto to start, while the others got oysters, Caesar salad, and the scallops. The risotto was by far my favorite dish of the night. Everyone else was pleased with their starters, too! For mains, J got the wellie (duh) and I settled for the short rib, as our intent was to share. We also got the Brussels on the side. The beef Wellington was cooked PERFECTLY! And it tasted delicious. My dish was a bit over cooked which was a let down and was missing jus. The spicy Brussels sprouts were incredibly tasty, though. The others got the pan seared salmon and steaks. Everyone seemed to really enjoy what they got! For dessert, I opted for the sticky toffee pudding, J got the strawberry shortcake and his mom got the chocolate brownie (something or other). The pudding was by far my favorite and the strawberry shortcake was my least favorite. All presented beautifully, though. Wow! I don't know where to start. Nothing could have been done more perfectly. From the hostess greeting to leaving after our meal, everything was outstanding. We dined on their second night being open and it felt like they've been doing this for years. The staff is well trained. The place is spotless. Beautiful atmosphere. Our server, Jordan, was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. And her love of the restaurant and concept really shined through. Such a pleasant young lady - I wish her much success in her job. Have been to the Hell's Kitchen in Las Vegas but this was my first time at the one in Atlantic City. The restaurant is located on the 2nd floor at Caesars AC, literally in the casino not too far from the Total Rewards desk and across from several slot machines. Unless you're willing to eat at the bar, you'll definitely want to get a reservation to avoid getting waitlisted. I had a reservation but there was a spot at the bar (where I preferred to sit) so I grabbed that spot once I got there and cancelled my reservation. With the restaurant being in a casino, all of the bar seats had bartop games for customers to gamble on. Many of the seats also had access to a USB plug (e.g., to charge your phone) under the bar counter which was a nice touch. So I sat down at the bar and ordered what's probably the most popular item at Hell's Kitchen - the Beef Wellington - along with a side of macaroni and cheese. The bartender who took my order was extremely attentive and very friendly. Order came out in around 10 minutes - the bartender even topped off the draft beer I ordered (Laguanitas IPA I think) and was halfway through drinking once the food came out. The beef wellington itself was very, very good. The mashed potatoes with gravy and vegetables that come with the beef wellington were also good, but were noticeably (very) small-portioned (especially for the price), which I didn't like though I suppose is somewhat common at many fine dining spots. The mac and cheese was excellent. While the beef wellington was good, and is a relatively unique food option here in the U.S., there wasn't anything super special about it - would prefer a good steak over the wellington any day of the week. Overall, the meal and customer service were very solid. Altogether, the wellington, side of mac and cheese, and draft beer I ordered came out to a few dollars under $100. Definitely on the pricey side, but I used the $100 "celebration dinner" credit I receive annually for being a Caesars Total Rewards Diamond member to pay the entire bill. Would definitely recommend for those interested in a fine dining experience in AC. We follow a lot of the Gordon Ramsey shows and we were all looking forward to it. Atmosphere was amazing. Looked very much like the show with a top restaurant attached. Looks like very little expense was spared on the decor, staff attire and everything on the table. I could see people taking some stuff home as a souvenir as not only did they have high end tableware, but Hells Kitchen embroidered napkins. Appetizers were excellent. We had the scallops & lobster risotto as an appetizer. My young son hates almost everything but loved the risotto. Not large portions, but very good quality. Perfectly cooked and memorable taste. For dinner we had another round of scallops & risotto for the kids and then crispy skin salmon & beef Wellington with Brussels sprouts & mushroom side dishes. I got the beef Wellington as part of the Chefs special, which includes an app, beef Wellington & sticky toffee pudding for a reasonable price compared to alacarte. My wife would have preferred one of the shows other favorites like halibut or sea bass vs the salmon, but they weren't in the menu, the salmon was good, well prepared but not mind blowing compared to everything else. Beef Wellington is just perfect. I've had it at Gordon's Steakhouse at Harrahs and always perfect. Wed skip the Brussel sprouts next time and go with Mac & cheese or potatoes. So when I see $$$$ and Gordon Ramsey in Yelp my expectations are high. Not to mention I am a huge fan of the show and had great expectations. My expectations around the ambience and experience were met. I loved the look and feel of the restaurant and the hostess and servers were great. The food is "cooked" behind the scenes. The spiced shrimp cocktail was sumptuous with an agreeably hot cocktail sauce, but the appetizer scallops are thinly sliced and insubstantial. Entrées were the signature Beef Wellington, which seemed like a smaller serving than on TV, served with an insufficient amount of sauce. The potato purée accompaniment was gummy from sitting under the heat lamp at the pass for too long. I'm critical, but my wife enjoyed the dish. I had the crispy skin salmon, which arrived at the table still moist enough on the inside, just barely. It was served with lentil "caviar" (a bed of tiny green lentils), a nice presentation. I did enjoy it. Desserts were the sticky toffee pudding a la mode, and the cheesecake drizzled with caramel, chocolate, and peanut butter sauces. Both desserts were excellent and big enough to share, ending the meal on a high note. We got to meet Chef Alex, the winner from the TV show, now the executive chef, and chat with him briefly. Nice guy, very personable. Eating here was a fun and memorable experience. It's a great open concept, and they really did try to do the most with the space they're in to give the whole room at least a partial view of the kitchen! Stopped in with my son and nephew visiting from the UK, and unfortunately, it was a major disappointment. While we had reservations and were seated promptly, that's where the positives largely ended. Our server was very kind, but it was clear that this restaurant operates well beyond her capacity. The attentiveness of the rest of the staff was minimal, bordering on indifferent. The highlight of the meal, by far, was the Lobster Risotto appetizer, which was excellent. Sadly, that was the high point. Our entrée order was simple: two Beef Wellingtons and one Chilean Sea Bass. What arrived? One Beef Wellington, one Sea Bass, and strangely another Lobster Risotto. We sent the risotto back and waited... and waited. I eventually flagged down a food runner to ask about the missing entrée. His response? "How am I supposed to know? I didn't take your order." Completely unprofessional. Eventually, our server returned, apologized, and went to check. After another delay, the second Beef Wellington finally arrived. When I asked why all the proteins weren't re-fired so we could eat together, the only response I got was a smile. Clearly, the staff isn't well-trained and may have never seen a single episode of Hell's Kitchen. Some side notes: the Mango Market Salad was fresh and flavorful. The Baked Mac & Cheese, however, arrived at room temperature and was frankly inedible. The chef came to the table, but offered no apology and barely engaged. He seemed unaware or unconcerned about the issues in the dining room. Later, our server returned to say the manager would comp dessert. A real manager would've come to the table, acknowledged the mistakes, and offered more than a Sticky Toffee Pudding as compensation for a clearly ruined dining experience. We've watched the show, and we're excited to be in town to try the restaurant. I made reservations months in advance so we could really enjoy the whole experience. The ambiance was very Hell's Kitchen, red and blue sides, pitch fork themed light, forks, etc. Our server was very sweet and attentive. The food was ok. My husband got the truffle garlic soup, and it was the best part of the meal. We both got the beef Wellington, and shared the side of corn and a Ceasar salad. The salad was heavily covered in dressing. The corn and the potato puree was delicious. The Wellington was good, I ate the whole thing. My husband wasn't too thrilled with it. To finish, I got the Toffy Bread Pudding. The one item everyone raves about. It was super sweet, and the ice cream helped a little, but it was meh. I'd get a different dessert next time. Hell's Kitchen! If you were a fan of the show, they have the split red and blue kitchen setup with last seasons winner Alex running the food pass. I always thought I had to go to Vegas for the full experience but easy access is crossing the bridge into Atlantic City, New Jersey. Now any restaurant, I believe it starts with the service. From being seated to asking about their drinks and dishes, always checking in, very attentive, the service was perfect. I was never a fan of the filet mignon just because I like my meats fat and juicy but you know the show was known for its beef wellington. I had to forego my preferences to give it a try and of course the picture To my amazement, it was melt in your mouth full of flavor so good paired with the lobster mac and cheese, yum! Celebrated our anniversary here. Love the concept of walking down the stairs to "hell's" kitchen. If you're a big Gordon Ramsey fan, yeah this is your restaurant lol. There's a hallway of his photos to go to the restrooms it's hilarious. I thought it was also cute that the chefs were wearing red outfits and blue outfits. Service was fine, our table was bussed regularly. My meal was delicious. All entrees were amazing! My only thing was the lobster risotto really wasn't what I was expecting! Still good and I'm gonna eat it bc $$ but to me, my risotto felt salty and cheesy :( and I felt my lobster was a taddd overcooked. I should have tried the scallops was what I thought during the dinner. Anyways, I was still very very impressed with the rest of the dinner. My beef Wellington was exactly what a beef Wellington should be! Lambchops we're good perfect medium rare- and was 10/10 with their sauces. But honestly the star of the show is their toffee dessert. This was an amazing experience with my extended family in town for the holiday - especially for my niece who is a huge fan of the show. The food was tasty, well presented & the service was exceptional. It was definitely pricey! The restaurant is in the location of an old nightclub; we were seated at a round table where half the table ended up looking at the stairs, the waitress station and the door to the kitchen throughout the meal, which was not pleasant. That was my only gripe - otherwise a fantastic experience! read more
