There's a reason they don't have public Google reviews, haha! I purchased a couple of lighting products but never installed them, so I can't speak to their quality. However, I did find many negative reviews online about poor quality, which led me to return the products. I followed their clunky return process, but never heard from anyone. After multiple attempts, I finally received a confirmation that they will process the refund. A month and a half went by, and still no refund. I reached back out, and the response was, "Apologies for the delay." After all of that, they still took a 20% restocking fee... what a joke. Trash business selling overpriced Chinese lights. If you live someplace where you will never experience cold, rain or snow, go ahead and buy them. But if you are going to experience any type of moisture, steer clear. The wiring harness on these lights fail, and fail often. I went thru 4 sets, all the same failure. Best part is when they fail, you get charged $40 to send them back to get your "warranty replacement". I see that they not sell a 5 year warranty. That says something in and of itself. Also, as indicated on here in other reviews, customer service is often unhelpful, condescending and overly arrogant. I finally just gave up. After spending over $1000 with Recon I just took my L and moved on. I would strongly suggest to anyone who wants to black out their taillights to purchase a can of VHT "nightshades". Tape off your lights and apply several very light coats, letting each dry before applying another. You can take em as dark as you want, especially with good led light bulbs. This looks absolutely amazing and you maintain the quality of an OEM factory light. And it only costs you $20 and a few hours of your time. Recon should ashamed of themselves selling those lights at that price. read more

I can't stress this enough not to trust the website or anyone else in customer service. HORRIBLE customer service. I ordered some tail lights for my 21 f150 and I needed them as soon as possible. I purposely ordered the ones I did because they said they were in stock. I needed these ASAP because someone took my last set. So now I'm driving around with only the 3rd brake light. I patiently waiting a few days for a tracking number and never got one so I emailed them. They said they were on backorder 2-3 weeks out and never notified me that was the situation. I figured ok shit happens . I waited it out and still nothing so I contacted them again. They said not enough orders came in and I'll have to wait for the next batch to come in and didn't even get a time frame. So needless to say but this company at the very least needs to start updating the inventory on the website and let there customers know that there order has been backordered. read more

Terrible quality and terrible customer service. These were installed only 6 months ago and already have standing water and condensation issues. The BLIS system has had problems since day one. When I needed a warranty replacement, they charged $50 for shipping, never actually shipped the item, and only told me it was "backordered" after I reached out -- despite the item still showing as available and in stock on their website. I bought a set of taillights from Recon a few months back and have had nothing but issues with them: rapid blinking. I did everything Recon asked to troubleshoot and replaced the resistors. Nothing worked, so I went ahead and purchased a set of Morimoto taillights, and right away they worked properly. I reached out to Recon, and they refused to let me return their faulty taillights and were not pleasant to deal with or talk to. Never again will I buy or recommend anyone to run Recon. read more

Lights look awesome, but did not fit my 1999 F-250 Super Duty. Purchased these lights specifically over a much cheaper competitor because they were advertised as guaranteed fit, easy install. Like the competitor's headlight, these units actually involve cutting a bump out in the truck's headlight housing, which I did not want to do. Called customer service and was basically told to kick rocks. I could return the unit with a 20% restock fee and I pay for shipping. Ridiculous. Wish I would have read Yelp reviews before purchasing. Ordered side marker lights for a 2024 GMC 3500 AT4. Of the four lights, one did not fit flush in the fender. Ironically that was the only one that actually illuminated. The other three would not unless you flipped the plug around the wrong way (the way the plug isn't designed to go based on the tongue and groove system). The worst part is Recon wouldn't admit there was anything wrong with them. I ended up ordering from another company (Diode Dynamics) and their product fit flawlessly. read more

This company is trash. I reported the issue of the driver side taillight going out back in February. 4 months before the warranty expired. They sent me two wiring harnesses on 2 occasions to see if they would fix the issue. Neither did. I then asked a man who identified himself as the owner to please send replacement lights because it was discovered that the problem was the lights had a manufacturing problem whereas they were allowing water inside the fixture which shorted out the board. The owner then told me he would not replace them because at this point they were out of warranty. I replied that this issue was reported well within the warranty as documented. The previous owner said he paid over $2k for this garbage and when you call them they tell you it's adjustment that needs to be done, none his is far from adjustment issues I have tried adjusting them on my garage door where I had lines to see what moved and how much they moved, I moved them up and down and no change in visability at all! It's a crying shame that these crooks charge you $1k for the housings and another $1k for the LED bulbs that are worthless, I've got LED headlights in my jeep and it's difference between night and day from the jeep to this truck, there is no way I would have paid that and got this results and not be calling customer service every day to get a return and refund on them! read more
