Yea we get our pretty on here. Specially when we kinda let our eyebrows go for quite a bit and we need it fluffed for a certain occasion. I love this place! I usually come here to get my eyebrows done. They wax and thread. I never had my eyebrows so even before until I came here. They do a fantastic job. They also give you a customer appreciation card so after you pay for 7 eyebrow waxings you get a free one. I have got a henna tattoo here once and it was really cool. Gorgeous Eyebrows started out as a mall kiosk in front of Macy's, but now has an additional store location in the mall, right outside of JC Penney. The kiosk is manned by the younger lady while the store is manned by [possibly] her mother (?). I prefer the mother. I love how my brows look when she's done. The younger lady did my brows once and she thinned me out way too much. The last time I went to the kiosk, I saw the younger lady and was going to turn right around and leave, until I saw the sign indicating they had an actual store on the other side of the mall. Also, be sure to get a customer loyalty card. After so many visits (you have to get them initialed), you get a free brow service. If you've never had your brows threaded before, it hurts. I won't even lie to you. I still get teary eyed when I get mine done. You have to participate in it, too... you have to hold your eye brow area taut. No I do not go here for eyebrow specifically are usually have gone to her for my eyelashes which I beg anyone to walk away and not go to this woman, Excessive amount of glue burning she was also talking to her sister which she asked if it was OK but nonetheless it was not professional to hear a conversation in a different language right in my ear as she is doing my lashes, Second of all do not Bother showing her an inspo photo Because she simply will just do what she wants and my eyelashes looked nothing like the inspiration photo. I will leave photos in the comment section to show what I mean about the build up of lash glue and mind you I have had these lashes on for four days. Honestly if you want really cheap individual lashes she's the woman to go to but sadly you will not be satisfied a weekend white gunk forms on the lash glue and the lashes seem to fall out at random times. I decided to try this place out because the lady that normally threads my brows was unavailable. I was immediately seated (1 star for that) and attended to by a younger lady. I didn't catch her name, as she didn't really seem interested in me as a client. She was of Middle Eastern descent and wore a traditional scarf on her head. I explained to the lady that I only wanted a touch-up. I did not want my brows re-shaped. I know that there may have been a bit of a language barrier between us, but she specifically asked, "you just want a touch-up?" And I said, "yes, I don't want anything removed from where the make-up is." I have very little natural brow hairs left, and I have to fill in a lot of my brow shape with brow gel. At one point in time, the lady told me that I wear too much brow make-up. I feel that was an opinion she needed to keep to herself. She then proceeded to wipe off most of the make-up with a cotton ball. Then she threaded more of my brows. I immediately knew this was going to be bad. When she said she was finished, I looked in the mirror and wanted to cry. My brow shape was much thinner than it was when I walked in. Plus, the make-up was all rubbed off. I had planned to go out to do other things after this, but I had to rush home instead so I could fill my brows in with make-up again. I also had to take a pain reliever because she had pinched my skin so many times that it gave me a splitting headache. I know there are other reviewers that state there is a woman there who does good work. However, I would not recommend this place to anyone for fear that they would get the same lady I did. read more

The ladies in here are super sweet! They are really nice and make you feel comfortable, but they are not really that great at doing your eyebrows how YOU want them. They kind of look at your eyebrows and shape them to whatever shape they want them to be. I fill in my eyebrows with pomade and I like them a little bit on the thicker side (nothing insane) and I even go in there with the pomade on so they know how I like my eyebrows. The first 4 or 5 times I went they did an awesome job and I was very happy, but then I had a lady that completely ruined my experience and made me never want to go back. When I came in she was the only lady working (I don't remember her name) so I decided to just see her, I told her like 5 times that I did not want her to remove my brow makeup and just to wax around it and any unwaxed hairs I would pluck myself, well as soon as I sat down she instantly removed my makeup and began waxing, so she ended up waxing them WAY to thin, like I mean flash back to the 90's thin. It took me MONTHS to get them back to some-what normal because my hair does not grow that fast. If you're super insane about your eyebrows like me and like them how they are, I would try some place else. read more

I heard about eyebrow threading from a few friends and after researching a bit online decided to go ahead and give it a try. I had seen a few places in Southland Mall, and ended up at Gorgeous Eyebrows by JcPenney's, right across from Zales. They do have a kiosk in the middle of the mall by the fountain, but trying this out for the first time, I wasn't up to experiencing it in the middle of the mall for the public to see. I walked in and was seen right away. The woman that did my eyebrows (the previous poster mentioned a mother and a daughter...I didn't see anyone but the woman that did my eyebrows, she was maybe 30 or so) was FANTASTIC! She was very understanding with it being the first time I had had my eyebrows threaded and she was so quick. It took about fifteen minutes because I had grown them out for about a month beforehand and she reshaped them. My eyebrows look the best they have looked in months! I could have never gotten this kind of shape with waxing and it did not even hurt. If you tweeze, even between waxes, threading will not hurt at all. It is a little sharp of a movement, so you might wince and your eye will water as a natural reaction, but here I am a week later and my eyebrows still look perfect! By the time I walked to the car, my skin was not red any more, which was great because when I get them waxed, I'm usually red for at least 20 minutes afterwards. Best of all...it was only $10 and lasts an entire month. I will be going back! read more

Ok..eyebrow threading and waxing they do pretty good.we like a lady named maywish for threading and there's a lady w honey blonde hair who does good wax..Now let me get to my nightmare with eyelash extensions. My first time ever wearing lashes and it was terrible.Theres 2 techs who provide the service.A middle aged lady w long hair and a low -mid 20s lady..I should have known when the older woman kept coming to check her work.Smh.I was wondering why my eyes weren't burning like my sisters were.(she had hers done too).the very next morning when I woke up it felt like I had rocks all over my lashline.eye sleep was clumped in lashes.i tried to clean w no luck.so I go back to salon and the lady "cleaned them"added lashes because a lot must have fell out ..THIS time my eyes did burn.THIS time the other woman brought in "sealant"this is what makes the eyes burn.and this step was skipped when she first did them.she claimed that wasn't possible for her to forget but I know that is what happened.i later found out the sealer is what keeps lashes clean.probaly why mine were so gross that 2nd day..ok so now I leave the salon for the 2nd time ..this time the lashes are full and natural looking.very pretty.but every day that I woke up that week more and more lashes were missing and still getting eye sleep stuck in them.so day 8 I went back because these lashes looked gross,thin,separated and old..she "cleaned"and filled yet again.yesterday marked the 3rd week.i went to salon to get them removed.they are supposed to last 5-6 weeks..but they looked gross thin and were coming out and I don't have the time to keep running back n fourth to that mall.so neither lash ladies were there..2 other women helped remove .i expected my natural lashes to be damaged..I didn't expect to loose 70% of my real eyelashes .as they are glued to your real lashes not to skin.they are super thin now and super short.im so sad .this was a terrible mistake.my lashes were pretty with mascara.now even with mascara they look awful.120$ is what I paid to basically have pretty lashes for maybe 2 weeks.and now alls I can do is that my real lashes come back.Oh I almost forgot..we did not receive the "how to care for paperwork"..I received that on my 2nd trip.what a joke!my advice to anyone considering lash extensions at this establishment..try the middle aged woman .the other girl is too new.shes only worked there for 1 year. I'm writing my review strictly on my henna experience. I was looking for about three weeks and found this place, I had info on another place that did it but when o seen the young lady's work decided to try this place... First mistake - I was greeted nicely and was told to pick out my art.. When I seen the designs I was really excited they were all beautiful.i have been planning this for a while as I planned on going to a music festival and getting the henna... First the normal girl who did it wasn't there they said but another girl could do it, she looked at the design and got started... The very first part she did came out at least decent... Then she got very very sloppy and actually drew squares... Mid shaped squares on me I at the time didn't have the heart to say anything - then she drew lines down my arm I mentioned the lines being mishaped and some part were too thick... Others the paint barely showed she told me that when it dried it would all come together I paid for my henna ($50) which was ridiculous. So I ended up getting home and peeling the left over paint off... Let me tell you instead of going to the music festival I spent my day trying to scrub the art off with toothpaste and other things I found on Google... DO NOT ATTEMPT TO GET HENNA DONE HERE. You will be left with a hack job you have to look at for at least a few days as none of the options removed the tattoo only lightened it. read more
