I can tell she is proud and passionate about her work and her sweet personality tops it off. The most important factor is how she listened to what I wanted, other nails salons will critique you and suggest something completely different than what you originally expected. As for her, she will perfect every little detail until your satisfied with the results. I'm really happy I found her, the amount of quality and care from her services are above and beyond. I actually drove from South Bay to San Gabriel (LOL) because I was really enamored and respected her artistry. I loved the little salon and how professional Lannie is. She's been in the industry for well over two decades and it clearly shows. I appreciated her patience with me as I'm new to getting nails done. The single one star review is actually from a temp employee that is no longer with Lannie! Her prices are on par with most salons. If I remember correctly, it's $40 for single color gel, and then $2-3 per nail for art, $2 per nail for gold flaking. Obviously it really depends on the designs you want but expect about $75 on average, and don't forget to tip either. If you're not sure, she responds pretty quickly to estimated costs. The gel manicure lasted me about 2 weeks, and I ended up taking mine off at home but didn't do it correctly so my nails are pretty bad and will probably take a few more weeks or months to get back to what they were like before. I'd just get it taken off for $10 or so at a reputable salon next time I get gel. I'd love to come as a regular but the salon itself is too far away for me to be comfortable to make that time commitment (2 hour roundtrip + 2 hour appointment) every two weeks. So for now, I think I'll probably try to stop by when I have a day off or for special occasions. Lannie's really busy, expect to need to book an appointment 2-3 weeks out.

Cathy, the owner, is incredibly talented and specializes in builder gel, among many other nail services. One thing I really appreciate is that she keeps up with the latest trends by adding new colors, techniques, and services. Although Cathy is usually booked by appointment, I typically see Mimi or Sami, and they both do an excellent job. They also accept walk-ins, which is convenient. There's another nail technician who wears either a cross or pearl necklace (I don't know her name), and she does beautiful manicures as well. Like most businesses, their prices have increased over the years, but I still find them reasonable for the quality of work. During my most recent visit, I got a basic pedicure ($23) and a manicure. Cathy repaired one of my natural nails using builder gel and powder, and my nails turned out beautiful. My total, including a $5 tip for each technician, came to $78. If you're getting gel polish, keep in mind it's an additional $10, which is clearly communicated. Overall, the staff is friendly, the salon is clean, and I've trusted them with my nails for over seven years. I typically get…read morehard gel and they do a fantastic job at keeping the hard gel thin on the nail, but not compromising on the durability. They also add polish colors to their rotation and let me know when they get new colors in! If you want nail art, be sure to specify it at the time of your appointment or at the front desk as not all nail techs here do nail art. I go with whoever is free to do my nails and have never had a problem. Everyone here has always been kind to me and there's a good, relaxing vibe.
