Contacted to have them repair a minor crack in the pebble tec. Was also in interested in have a pool railing installed. Provide quotes with out any in person review. Quotes seemed reasonable so work was scheduled. From there it became kind of a dumpster fire, with this and that that was a need in order to complete a task. With each addition, the cost kept increasing so the final bill was about $1000 over the original estimate. So much of that could have been avoided if they would have taken time to set an appointment to review prior so a more accurate estimate could have been submitted. With each addition, the office and service staff became less and less accessible with responses and communications reduced to e=mail and or a text. I can't in any way endorse this company. Workmanship was adequate, office staff marginal and communications seriously lacking professionalism. read more

I called Gorilla pool in March for pool remodeling and for new equipment. I spoke with Kathy, she was nice and I can tell she was on point with the communication. Corry came to my house checked the pool and gave me an estimate. After getting numerous estimates theirs was the lowest and they seem pretty responsive and professional. They told me that they will start the project within 3 weeks wich would be son a Monday April 10th and that I will be signing the contract that day. And now this is when it started going down hill.. I mean which company wins a $15k+ contract and wont at least stay professional to keep the job..... Gorilla Pools. We are just days before the project starts and no one has called or email me just as a reminder that they will be starting on Monday, I didn't even now what time they will come. I sent an email to Kathy just to confirm that we are all set for Monday and she replied and confirmed. Monday morning comes and there is no action, suddenly in the afternoon I see someone in my backyard, he pluged a pump put it in the pool and left. It is midnight the pump is still on sucking on my electricity while the pool is empty. 24 hours later still no calls, no email and I don't know what to expect. Half the day is gone and no one has showed up not to even to check on the pump. I called the only person Correy got as "customer service" Kathy and told her about what happened and that I would like to at least know what to expect going forward, like what will be done, when and the estimated time of the project being done. She said that she will send me a schedule later once Correy confirms with her. I said cool thank you. A few ours later I checked my email and see an email from Gorilla, I opened the email thinking its the schedule Kathy told she will send, instead she sends me the invoice for $15,494 due in 3 weeks!!! I mean for real!! at this point I haven't received or signed the contract that Kathy told me at the beginning I would received, I haven't received or at least being told when things will be done and they haven't even come and checked on their pump or my pool. I send a email to Kathy letting her know my displeasure and that I was not sure if they are the right company for this expensive project. Kathy (the customer service) called and said I read your email and I think the best thing for both parties is to end the project. She didn't even bother to address my concerns or anything. What I got from this is that Correy is the owner of the company and he depends on one person whose name is Kathy to run his company. Once they get your business the care and professionalism ends, they are full of pride and wont try to address your issues instead they will officially end the contract... well again they actually lied about providing a contract and they will wast your time. read more

Complete pool remodel. Had a 30 year old plaster pool, with missing tiles, rust spots, you name it. Cory did the whole thing at a great price. We got many quotes prior to meeting with Cory. Could not be happier with the out come. Project was completed on time in a tough time, with covid and supply levels being an issue. Put in a couple of large baja steps with 3 umbrella sleeves, 2 love seats, and 2 colors of mini pebble to make it look like a Caribbean beach look color wise. Looks awesome! I was issued a contract, but it did not have my correct name. After one week of asking for the contract to be corrected, I was sent 3 others with the wrong name before being told to ignore all of the ones sent and look for a corrected one. It was sent on a Monday. I was told by Cory that I would need to reach out to Kathy about tile choices as they are not listed on the site at cost and upcharges may occur. I called and emailed everyday of the week to find that Kathy was out of the office. She called at 11:11 Monday and left a message. I returned the call after leaving work and expected them to start the job today! They never called to confirm start time and when I spoke to them Kathy screamed at me about not getting the contract signed. I reminded her she did not have my info correct and that I waited a week for her to fix the contract. She then told me she would be canceling the contract. So here I am.....another person who tried to use Gorilla Pool, but their unprofessionalism, inability to correctly issue a contract under the correct name, and lack of responsibility for their actions is remarkable. I would KEEP searching. It is not worth the headache! I am certain I have been blessed and dodged a disaster. I should have trusted the reviews that stated these EXACT same events. read more

We had to replaster our pool. Had 4 ppl give us a estimate which where some of them crazy. I got referred by our neighbor to Cory (Gorilla pool). He came out and straight forward said what's going on. Didn't try to talk non sense or sweet talk you. I wanted to keep the tile which has been the original. Cory said that would not be a problem ( some could pop out since they so small) but would not be a big deal that stores still carry them and they could just replace them. Others told me oh they definitely will come off a and stores don't carry them anymore. Well we decided to go with gorilla pool. I am super happy! The guys who took the old plaster off chipped our tile on the skimmer part which they replaced for free. The pool took about 3 weeks for it to be done but only because it was raining and they needed a day for it to pebble to dry. Or else it would have been faster. Cory also replaced something else at no charge. They are amazing. Quick work and good communication through out when things are happening. My pool looks amazing. I recommend them to anyone! read more

Gorilla Pool Company acid washed my pool. They clearly communicated with me and answered all my questions promptly while it was being serviced. I got a quote in the beginning and appreciated that money wasn't discussed again until after the service was complete. They were informative, polite and professional. Don't let Yelps unusual sorting system which is not showing other reviews for Gorilla Pools discourage you from using this company. We had Cory come out to our house to replace a pool light which had been previously installed incorrectly and filled with water, replace plumbing at the pump, and clean our DE filter. Cory showed up 15 minutes early, working with our schedule to complete the work on a Saturday. He was polite and willing to answer my pool questions that I have been putting off for years. Very pleasant experience and plan to use him for future projects and monthly cleaning. His price was also much less then competitor offers. read more

We never had a pool before and felt this company was really professional and would treat us well..unfortunately, like most pool companies from what I've heard, start out decent and then start to slack on their responsibilities and do less and less over time..This company is no different..They started out fine and a month later, the regular maintenance was down to 5 min. 100 dollars a month for 5 min per week? And 65 dollars extra to clean the filters? Do the math on that..We had them redo the cool deck and placed holes for umbrellas..we placed umbrellas in the holes with a silicone sleeve and the cool decking started chipping and cracking around the holes drilled out..they guaranteed the work and would fix them but, are known not to show up on scheduled dates and times..and still have yet to fix them..stay away and start doing the work yourself..like the saying goes if you want something done right..do it yourself..go on you tube and learn.. read more
