Visited Gorilla Taco on my most recent visit to Pigeon Forge. The service was phenomenal and our waitress took the time to make suggestions for drinks and food. I got a mahi taco and a brisket taco and the brisket taco was one of the best tacos I've had in a while. The brisket was great and the bbq was the perfect combo of sweet and spicy, but what really made it was the fried jalapeño!

Great staff working there! Quickly seated and food came out quick and hot! The taco variations are really cool and love the atmosphere. Photo in the bathroom was pretty cool too haha

This place is new, clean, exciting and definitely worth a visit. The QuesaBirria tacos are incredible. The staff is on point with friendly faces and quick service. This is not the easiest restaurant to find. To say it's off the beaten path would not absolutely be accurate, but it is just slightly off of the main road and set back on a hill. It's basically in the parking lot of Compass by Margaritaville Hotel. This place provides a great photo opportunity as soon as you walk in the front door to the right, there is a giant gorilla where you will see others posing for pictures. Super cool fun place that is great for family outings. They accommodate large parties with ease.

First time coming - Nice decor - Good music - Not too loud in here - Comfy seats, back to butt ratio is a little stiff - Water tastes like nothing - Coke is crisp - Idk what a gorilla stick is but it's the best thing I've ever had the blessing to digest - Server is Matthew? Older bald guy with silver earring and tattoos and funny--he a real one. Get this man a raise, and a sparkly tutu. The second one is funnier but yk money's cool too - Salsa is scrumptious, yum - I changed my ringtone to a yodeling one while in here, very productive - food came quick, and I'm glad it did cause this shi is magnificent best Mexican rice I have ever tasted jajaja - got the roasted chicken quesadillas, absolutely marvelous. I don't like roasted chicken at all but ts is bussing - very clean, but it's cold in here TURN AWFF THE ACCCC - took a dump in the bathroom so I'd finish my quesadillas--and boy was that an amazing dump. Bathroom is clean, but there's only 3 stalls. For a taco restaurant, they underestimate the power tacos have over the bowels. Overall 9.5/10 I WILL be coming back. And whoever the server guy was betta be there cause this guy a hoot fr

Great service, the chips and salsa were amazing. I had the chicken taco salad and it was much more than I had expected. Seasoned perfectly with an abundant amount of chicken. The menu has all the basic items and not overwhelming with selections and choices. Definitely a place I will come back the next time I am in Pigeon Forge There is plenty of seating with booths and tables in abundance, music is a bit loud and a bit difficult to have a conversation

    The view is awesome.

Our first time here. It was a blast. The place is a new add to the neighborhood and it's a yooge win in our opinion. The staff is warm and friendly start to finish! Everyone stops by to check on you and to say hello. Brooke took exceptional care of us and made awesome recommendations for us for food and drinks! We started with the chorizo queso. It was a yummy crowd pleaser! Dang it was tastee! I opted for the house Rita on the rocks and Teresa opted for the Mexican old fashion. Both were exceptional and I went and had one of her old fashions as my second drink. Fabulous! Teresa had the Plain Jane quesadilla and it was a full plate. I opted for the three taco plate. What I loved was you could pick any combo of tacos. You know, some places make you choose all of one kind ..... what fun is that! Not here. Mine were: the roasted chicken, the buffalo chicken, and the smash burger. Good Lord they were delicious! Btw the smash burger was so full I ended up taking some of it home! What a great adventure! If you get to the parkway end of Teaster it's up the hill. Check this place out. You'll be very glad you did. We loved it! Thanks Brooke. We'll be back to see you!

We've been looking for a great Tex Mex restaurant in the area for a very long time. No success. Until now. We had looked at the reviews on Yelp and compared several places. Settled on this restaurant. Are we glad we did! The place is fresh and new. The dining area is spacious and there is an incredible view of the mountains. Who doesn't want that while eating Tex Mex? Our server was very kind and efficient. We loved the chips and salsa as well as the queso. Husband ordered the three tacos plate. It came with beans and rice. He had the birria taco, the brisket taco and the carne asada taco. I chose the chipotle bbq quesadilla. Let's talk. The tacos were all very good. Very. Good! But the chipotle bbq quesadilla? It. Is. Fire!!! Gives you that slow heat that builds in the back of your mouth but you just can't stop! The pineapple gave it a sweet taste but not overwhelming. I am smitten. Definitely have to get again! We were happy to find out that this is owned by the same people as The Blue Moose, our favorite burger joint that started in Pigeon Forge and is slowly becoming a chain. They know how to market and how to create memorable dishes that keeps you coming back for more! Would definitely recommend Gorilla Taco! Can't wait to return.

First time visiting gorilla taco. The food was delicious. The drink was yummy and the ambience is amazing. My server was very attentive unfortunately I don't live here so I probably won't be back, but I would recommend it.

Just the name alone got our attention! Sitting up on a hill, this vibrant, colorful spot definitely makes you do a double take, the food and service will make you do a double visit!! The inside is just as exciting and colorful as the outside so be prepared! The giant gorilla wrestler is the first to greet you, make sure you get a photo, especially with the kiddos! We were greeted with a genuine welcome and smiles and sat right away since we were dining at an odd time, in between lunch and dinner. I imagine, with the quality of food, there may be a wait during popular times. Chips and salsa were being delivered as we were being seated and our drink orders were taken right away. With margaritas on the way, we dove into the menu. They've got some very creative tacos and several other choices. We were there for the tacos so hubby ordered three different ones and I got the quesabirria. All of the tacos were delicious but the quesabirria stole the number one slot, they are amazing! The beans are phenomenal, spicy, rich and full of meat, yes, meat! If we were in town longer we would have definitely gone back, now we'll just have to wait for our next visit, Gorilla Taco will be the first place we go!

Went to check out the new place as it is across the street from Little Tokyo. They are situated just off Teaster Ln near the new margaritaville compass hotel. The restaurant is very nicely laid out with a large dining room and U shaped bar past the host stand. The bar area is well decorated and has multiple TVs to watch the game. The service is very attentive and pleasant. I settled on the 3 taco platter for $17.99, I had a smashburger taco, and two quesabirra taco with the consommé dipper. The bartender had chips and salsa brought and I thought the salsa was very good, so many places now have resorted to a flavorless yet spicy tomato purée so this was an excellent improvement. The taco plate came with Mexican rice and beans, just enough. Beans were fun and the rice was decent enough and fresh, so that helps. The tacos were great, I wasn't sure about the smashburgers taco, but it was great and they seem to cater to a more American fusion type of place. I ordered the chicken burrito Togo and it was largely full of rice, but the chicken inside was good, other than that it was fairly average so get the tacos. The arroz con polio caught my eye for next time. Overall the theme of the place is great. Good music, upbeat staff and although I got there at 11:30 and it was quiet, by the time I left it had filled up. The fun art of gorillas working was definitely a new experience but playful nonetheless. They have a nice private area for large parties and the restrooms were very nice and spacious. The atmosphere is what makes this place work, hopefully the food will stay solid. Go ahead- go gorilla!

There was a little wait for a table when we got there. The place was packed. When we got to the table, it was another wait for a server to come. The server and staff were friendly. My order was incorrect, but they did fix it. The food was amazing!! Great decor all over. Just wish service was a bit more attentive. Even just the server saying "I'll be right with you", but it was just constant walking by us.

The staff were friendly and Alex, our server, was fantastic. It's a unique and fun atmosphere to the twist of a traditional Mexican restaurant. The food and drinks were amazing. Those tacos are fire!
