Service was bad. Our server seemed overwhelmed by her section, and the staff was not helping. We sat down and were ready to order but our server told us to wait until she got our waters out. Our order was also messed up and splitting a check ended up being a hassle. We were in the restaurant way longer than we needed to be for people who weren't drinking alcohol. Amazing service and super quick. Server checked by a couple times to make sure I was good and if I needed anything and made sure I never ran out of my drink. Chip and salsa were excellent. I wasn't starved so I only had the Taco salad and it was good, beef was flavored perfectly, lettuce was shredded and very crispy. They serve the salad a bit differently, it doesn't come with sour cream, they give you s choice of dressing and it's served on the side The interior was open and brightly colored. We visited No Way Jose today for lunch and would not recommend this place. Their menu says the fajitas are "piled high with fresh onions and peppers..." it came out with hardly any onions and any peppers. The manager said it's because "it comes with a 5oz piece of chicken." Not at all worth the $18. I then asked if it came with guacamole and was then charged $2.99 for a very small scoop of it. We have avoided this place for years because of the terrible food but thought maybe they had got their act together. WE WERE WRONG. NEVER AGAIN. I did speak to the kitchen manager to express our dissatisfaction and the did adjust the bill but I was willing to pay for edible food. Awful! The cheese dip tasted like chemicals... I couldn't figure out what part of my food tasted like the pink amoxicillin liquid I took when I was sick as a kid... I only had a few bites of my food and couldn't eat anything else. Came back to our condo and my stomach felt weird. Woke up at 230am throwing up what little bit I did eat. We went in at 12 for a quick Saturday lunch. The ambiance is definitely eclectic Mexican chic which I love. We sat in the bar area and our bartender was great for the Margaritas with our extra request for Tajin. We ordered burritos and enchiladas - the meet was well seasoned. My wife and I come here every chance we come to Gatlinburg. We've been to Gatlinburg five times. We've been here to eat five times. The food here is outstanding. The service is outstanding. The people are polite. The restaurant is clean. Prices are reasonable. Highly recommended to anybody. Pictures are of the Baja shrimp burrito and the ultimate tacos ultimate tacos. The only complaint I have about the burrito was there was a little bit too much bean in it. It overpowered everything and they used very tiny shrimp. Hostess took a long time to greet and seat us as did the waitress to greet us and ask for our beverage selection. Table was extremely tight fitting so we both had to seat on the same side instead of across from each other. I had the Jose Fiesta Sampler which was good not great because everything was fried. The fried cheese stuffed avocado was interesting. But I think something was missing. Maybe more citrus? Limes to breakup the fried everything? The complimentary chips were the thin type and freshly made. The salsa needed more citrus and heat imo. We liked the yellow rice. It was an OK dining experience. We were out walking the strip and it was hot so we decided to stop in for a beer and some chips and salsa. We sat at the bar and bartender was very friendly and welcoming. We ordered a couple Coronas (they did not have Corona light or Premier-which I thought was a little odd) we got the chips and salsa and was very good fresh tasting salsa. There are likely much better Mexican restaurants to visit in the area. I took my teen girls to Pigeon Forge for a retreat this weekend and we wanted Mexican food for Cinco de Mayo. I was surprised that we were seated so quickly at 12:30-1 PM on a Sunday afternoon. I was expecting an after church crowd. It wasn't busy at all. That should have been our first clue to go somewhere else. It took FOREVER for a server to even come, give us some chips and salsa, and take our drink order after we were seated. The salsa wasn't anything to even write about. It was rather bland. I think it was supposed to be a more pico style but all we really had was tomato water. When we finally were able to order our drinks, we also ordered a bowl of the chili con queso. The chips were fresh made and delicious - they were just so insanely thin. The queso was really good, at least. There were only 4 of us and when we finally ordered, no one ordered anything complicated. One of the girls ordered a chicken and cheese quesadilla with nothing else - no pico, no lettuce, no sour cream. I ordered the same but asked for the pico on the side. I also ordered a soft taco. The other girls ordered fajitas. When the food came, the one who ordered a plain chicken and cheese quesadilla had all the fixings on her plate and she was not happy. She doesn't even want the extra stuff to touch her quesadilla (which I totally know that's a her issue). The sides of sour cream that had been ordered were forgotten. Also, with our drinks, a couple of us ordered water in addition to our drinks. The waters had been forgotten as well. The quesadilla was excellent, but still needed more filling. I had more tortilla than cheese and chicken. The taco - not so good. The girls that had the fajitas said they were good. We finished eating and waited quite some time for the waiter to come by. I wanted to get fried ice cream for us to split. I should have just skipped it because of the wait AND because it is the WORST fried ice cream I have ever had. I love fried ice cream. The only good part of this was the actual frozen vanilla ice cream in the middle. The "fried" part was just brown sugar and cinnamon that was rather mushy. It was not good. After eating our fried ice cream, it took forever to get the check and for them to collect payment. In most Mexican restaurants, this is an hour or less in and out service. We were here for going on 2 hours. And it wasn't exactly busy either. So. Avoid this place if you can. You'll get better food and service elsewhere. read more

Had dinner here at the recommendation of our hotel clerk. Our service was excellent, and the salsa is to die for!! It was freshly made, with bits of tomato, onion, and lots of cilantro. My house margarita was very tasteful and seemed to be scratch made. If it wasn't, it was an excellent mix! My husband and I shared a chicken and steak fajita. While the portion was a bit smaller than we normally get at home, the taste was perfect and we both had plenty to eat. Really enjoyed the atmosphere here, but some of the neon lights weren't working and it seemed like they might be struggling a bit. Give them a try!! For our entrees, I ordered Carnitas and an al a cart Chicken Tamale (because I can not find them anywhere we live), and he ordered Jalisco Trio (three different enchiladas). We ate here for the first time this past Memorial Day weekend. The food was really good and we got it pretty quickly. The cheese dip was our favorite of it all! It had a little kick to it, which we all enjoyed. I ordered a House of Blues margarita to drink, (on the menu it doesn't say the rim is super salty), this drink came out SUPER salty. It also tasted like straight tequila and salt, like someone poured salt in the bottom of the glass. I couldn't drink it. I don't like my margaritas with salt, so if I would have known this ahead of time, I would have not ordered it. So, I drank a mellow yellow and it was satisfactory. We really liked how the building looked from the outside and it was really nice on the inside. I did find it a bit odd though to go to the restroom that you have to walk basically behind the bar (where they get your soft drinks too) to get to them. This place was really good, we came to TN from Harrisburg, PA and I love Mexican food so I wanted to be sure I got some. I looked over the menu online and was pleased to see that that they had ground beef on the menu (apparently that's not considered authentic) But it was an immediate yes for me. Once we arrived, the parking lot is a little confusing, theres not much parking in the front, so you have to park in the back. The ambiance was really nice and cute. It felt true to me. Once we looked over the menu, I got two hard beef tacos and rice and refried beans. My husband got a burrito. We had a really nice waitress who was sweet. We got our food and it wa really good, the meat had a little kick to it which I really liked, one thing I didn't like though was the refreied beans, they tasted spoiled and it wasn't pleasant. The salsa kinda tasted like it was from a jar, but it said homemade so I don't know. Overall this place was pretty good. I liked most of the food.
