The food was wonderful! My son and I shared a 3 taco plate. My oldest got the Gorilla Sticks for her meal thinking it would be smaller.... It was not. The chips and salsa are really good. My younger daughter was not a fan of the beef and cheese tacos as it tasted different than at home. It did come with two tacos which was a nice surprise. I would have gave 4.5 stars if I could. The reason I didn't do 5 stars is because of the service was slow. We had to wait on getting our drinks refilled and we also had to ask a couple times for an item. The atmosphere was great and worth a trip but we thought the food was just okay. I got the brisket nachos( it tasted like roast on top of the nachos) but still a good flavor. My husband and son both had tacos and the burger tacos per my son were really good my husband said his tacos were just okay. I went to the soft opening for lunch today. Everything on the menu sounded good so I decided to try 2 items and bring home the leftovers for dinner. I got the 2 quesabirria tacos and 2 beef enchiladas. They both came with rice and the tacos had charro bean and the enchiladas had refried beans. Both meals were tasty. I thought they both could have used more meat/filling. I personally preferred the refried beans over the charro beans. The space is bright, big, and cheerful. My server was excellent. She was prompt and checked back frequently and refilled my drink often. I tried the churro bites for dessert. They come with 2 sauces that you choose from 4 options. I got vanilla and caramel. They were a bit too greasy for me but the flavor of the sauces were good. The dessert prices were fairly cheap. I thought the meal prices were on the higher end for the amount of meat in the items. The plate is mostly rice and beans and shells/tortillas. I hope service continues to stay this strong once the restaurant fully opens and that small adjustments could be made to the include more meat, especially for the enchiladas. Thanks for the opportunity to dine at 50% during this event. I'd like to come back and try the nachos, burritos, and a few other flavors of the tacos.... plus some tres leches cake. We are residents from Gatlinburg. Historically the food is very good here. It is a go-to on long days etc. The young woman who answered the phone was rude and short. I have ordered takeout 1000s of times in my career at this point.. for reference. I knew as I spoke to her that the order had a high probability of being wrong, incorrect. The food today was really bad -- which shocked us as well. I am assuming they have a new cook? The Carne asada burrito had white rice and meat ONLY.. (incorrect) no sauces, no beans no cheese-- we ordered an extra side of refried beans they were left out of the order completely. IT WAS VERY DRY PER THE ONE WHO ORDERED. We also ordered 2 chicken bowls with EXTRA chicken. (Did not appear to have extra chicken) This dish is typically chicken and rice and a few veggies; WAS a good ITEM to order for 'low fat' meal from Mexican restaurant. Both bowls were like soup. Sloshy and creamy; not sure what was going on. There was melted cheese all over the chicken and the rice was soggy . . It was really unfortunate. The order being completely incorrect in combination with the rude phone call is the reason 42s. Finally, IF YOU ARE GOING TO CHARGE AS MUCH AS THEY DO HERE THE ORDER HAS GOT TO BE CORRECT AND MUST BE PREPARED BY SOMEONE FAMILIAR WITH THE MENU. Being locals we eat out quite often. This restaurant is absolutely amazing. The food is delicious and the services are fantastic. Servers are happy and do a great job. As a local I would 100 percent NOT RECOMMEND this crappy over priced place 20 dollars for 3 tacos is absolutely ridiculous it does come with side but i didn't want side just tacos and sure enough.... it's still 20 dollars. Such a fun restaurant! I had the Mahi taco and shrimp taco. Love the fresh cabbage pineapple slaw on tacos. So different from most taco places. Also charro beans were amazing. The salsa was full of bold fresh flavor. Husband love the rojo sauce on his burrito. Chips and cheese dip were also yummy. We came here two days in a row on our vacation to Pigeon Forge. The food was mind blowingly amazing. We got the Brisket nachos and I couldn't recommend them more. So much food. We also got the tacos which were amazing and on the second day, we got the nachos again and the quesadilla. All phenomenal. And their salsa that comes out free is the best salsa I've ever had. I will say the bartenders were rude and looked pissed off that I was getting take out on the second night. I'm kind and was nice to them and eventually warmed them up but not oh boy were they rude. Obviously they weren't happy that I wasn't drinking and only at the bar to get food to go (not to mention if they have to tip out on that food that's bull s*** for them and the management needs to step up and let people put in take out over the phone and not make the bartenders do it) BUT either way you are providing a service and you should do it with a good attitude. Regardless, the food was so good that I was able to overlook their attitudes. Didn't think the host's were friendly either both night but they more so seemed insanely overwhelmed. 4 stars because this is a new restaurant and with time will work some of this stuff out BUT the food was literally that good that I wish I could eat it weekly... but the service seemed disengaged and at best neutral... so that reduced the score from a 5 to a 4 read more
