Went here for the first time a few weeks ago and it was fabulous! I went on an early morning and it was pretty quiet. The staff were so nice and the coffee was great! I really liked the food options, all the toasts and burritos sounded great. I went with a friend and tried the tomato toast and the Black Dog burrito. Both were sooo delicious. I didn't explore the dining area too much but it looks like a big place and must be perfect for some work. Overall a great experience and can't wait to come back!

This place was such a cute little coffee shop! There were many different seat options inside and outside. The baristas were very friendly! My avocado toast was amazing! My friend got one of the goat cheese toasts and she said it was phenomenal! I would definitely go back here!

This coffee shop is adorable! My mom said that the gluten free protein bites were the best she's had! I agree. The woman working was very friendly and knowledgeable. They have tons of space, indoor and outdoor. This will be a staple for us when we come to visit our family in Soulard.

First of all, the vibes are immaculate. Good music, quirky decorations, plenty of seating to enjoy your perfectly made vanilla latte and contemplate life in general. I liked it so much I signed up for the rewards program because I think I'm gonna become a regular.

This cozy little coffee shop in a charming old building was a great way to spend an hour out of the afternoon downpour. The seating was comfortable and the coffee delicious. I had an iced coconut milk latte that was a bit too sweet, but that was mostly because it was my first time there and I wasn't familiar with their standards. The counter staff was friendly and helpful, and spent some tume talking with me about the various whole bean coffees they stock. There are some single origins that looked interesting, so I picked one out (Sumatra, which tends to have lower acidity). I'm very much looking forward to getting these beans home and brewing up some espresso!

Goshen Coffee in Soulard was the perfect way to start my 4th of July--calm, caffeinated, and filled with good conversation. A friend from STL Ladies Brunch Group invited me to try it, and now I totally see why it's one of her favorites. We sat on the shaded patio for hours, catching up while birds literally stopped by our table like they had something to say. Add in the nearby church bells and it was basically a Hallmark summer morning. I ordered the Kickin' Goat Cheese Whip Toast--creamy, spicy, and surprisingly satisfying--and the Cherry Ginger Espresso Tonic, which was sparkling, refreshing, and honestly just fun to drink. 10/10 for flavor and creativity. Inside is cozy and cute, with an aesthetic that says "chill here or buy a tote bag--you'll be happy either way." Staff was lovely, the vibe was relaxed, and I'll definitely be back. Bonus points for inclusive energy and a great retail corner. Follow me on Yelp, Google Maps, FB, and IG for more honest reviews and STL recs with a side of sass.

OMG everything here is DELICIOUS! I had the goat whip toast and it amazing, the flavor of the goat cheese, cucumbers, carrots and balsamic drizzle was so well balanced! It was such a light refreshing snack, I could eat 10 more. I also had the shortbread chocolate chip cookie and wow. It is a must try!! They had so many great vegetarian option, I loved this place. I also go a dirty chai and it had some a great spice flavor, not too strong. They had some great seating areas, upstairs and outside. It is a very cute little place. Outside there is only street parking. Highly recommend coming to check this place out!

Goshen has been on my hit list for coffee shops for ages. I finally broke down and made it out on a rainy sunday morning. Let me inform you: if you have been wanting to go to Goshen(like me) but have been procrastinating(like me) let this be your sign to drop everything and run there. I went right when they opened and the manager and barista were--presumably-- caffeinated and greeted me with exuberance. It's a fun little spot. The interior is quaint and cute. Quiet and slow moving. Perfect for a coffee date, catching up with old friends, or getting some studying done. The coffee was wonderful. I went with my go-to: an iced almond milk latte. It was really solid. As i peruse more coffee shops, my palate becomes more refined I am beginning to discover good from bad coffee. Simply put: Goshen is good coffee(really good). If you have read this far and haven't been to goshen let me reiterate: go, then go again. Beautiful people, wonderful coffee, in a great community!

Goshen coffee roasters Soulard cafe location follows in the footsteps of the smashing success by the flagship store in Edwardsville. Goshen coffee blends enjoy a cultlike reputation which imprints itself on the coffee drinks . You order at the counter - my go-to is their mocha, and find a table either near the counter or upstairs, which is a magnificent place to focus on getting some pending work done. They also have a beautiful covered deck on the upper floor and veranda like section outside on the main floor. Besides the coffee, I love their avocado toast and goat cheese toast variants - right now it's the goat cheese with pickled carrots and cucumbers and a balsamic drizzle on top. The staff are warm and friendly. On some Sundays, there's a musical guest performing in the upstairs area. Goshen at Soulard's, you're amazing and thank you!

A diamond in the rough!! Coming from Boulder, Colorado looking for craft single origin coffee. We found and pleasantly blown away by the options here for pour over. Had a pour over Timor-Estate with tasting notes of white peace, Riesling white wine, and whipped cream. Giving a boozy peachy finish!

I was so happy to find this coffee shop so close to my Airbnb when I stayed in St. Louis! I actually went 2 days in a row because I liked it so much! It was so cute and had 2 levels for seating, as well as an outdoor patio area. The staff were polite and welcoming. I tried some of their seasonal items on my first visit (but forgot to take pictures): carrot cake latte and a carrot cake scone. Both were incredible! I also got their lemon blueberry scone and goat cheese, onion, and garlic scone. Also incredible! I got a vanilla latte (pictured) which was delicious. I love when coffee shops make their own syrups so I was so excited to see that Goshen makes their own! Really takes lattes to the next level. Definitely check this place out in St. Louis! They also have some food and other pastries but I did not try them.

Went there with my daughter. She have been there and wanted go back so I check it out. It's in south city near Busch Brewery. Hot day outside! Enter lobby this place looks real nice and they have pastries and looks yummy! I ordered egg Sammy it was delicious! My daughter ordered avocado toast. She said it was good and she likes matcha. All is great. I'd come for sweet pastries. Thanks

Never been to this tucked in gem in Soulard but if you haven't been, you're missing out. Goshen coffee has your regular black coffee & also their specialty coffee menu! They also offer some smaller bites like a burrito & overnight oats! Delish. Order at the counter & they'll call your order up. Super simple here. There are two levels so you can sit in the main area or go up to the upstairs for a little more private room.

I literally live a 4 minute walk from here and have no idea why it took me this long to check it…read moreout. I took my boyfriend here last night for his 24th birthday celebration, and boy did it exceed every expectation. When we first arrived, we were taken aback by the waterfall feature at the front door. We genuinely thought we were at the wrong entrance. Turns out it was entirely intentional, and in the excitement of the evening, we forgot to ask about the story behind it. A fun little mystery to solve on our next visit. We arrived about 30 minutes early and were welcomed warmly from the moment we walked in. The staff gave us a lovely intimate table with a great view of the restaurant's eclectic decor and designs. The ambiance struck the perfect balance, lively and engaging without being so loud that we could not have a real conversation, which for my partner and me is genuinely one of the most important aspects of a dining experience. Since we both work incredibly busy schedules, this was not only a birthday celebration but our first proper date night in quite a while, and the atmosphere made it feel truly special. The staff even surprised us with a complimentary prosecco for the birthday, something we were absolutely not expecting and deeply appreciated. On the drinks side, although I am not personally a big drinker, my boyfriend loves exploring new spirits and cocktail combinations. The bartenders were fantastic: knowledgeable, approachable, and genuinely enthusiastic about their recommendations across both wines and spirits. They made the whole experience feel curated rather than transactional. Now, let me tell you about Jelly. Our server Jelly was, without question, the highlight of the entire evening, and that is saying a lot given how spectacular everything else was. I have a severe pineapple allergy, and if you dine out with food allergies, you know the usual routine. The server writes it down, maybe glances at it when the food arrives, and you spend the whole meal quietly hoping for the best. Jelly was on an entirely different level. She went completely above and beyond, meticulously checking every food option and wine pairing to ensure nothing contained pineapple and that there was zero risk of cross contamination. When a wine bottle did not clearly list its ingredients, she did not guess or assume. She looked it up on the internet right then and there to confirm it was safe for me. That gesture might sound simple, but for someone with a severe allergy, it is everything. It communicates that she genuinely cared about my wellbeing, not just about getting through her tables for the night. I felt completely taken care of, safe, and able to relax and enjoy myself without the anxiety that usually accompanies dining out with an allergy. Jelly, if you ever read this: thank you from the bottom of my heart. You are exceptional at what you do and an absolute asset to Blood & Sand. And now, the food, which was nothing short of breathtaking. From the presentation, to the pacing and timing, to the extraordinary depth of flavor on every plate, the food at Blood & Sand is spectacular and amazing in the truest sense of both words. My boyfriend and I had the 5 course tasting menu with wine pairings. We had originally hoped for the 10 course, but it was not being offered that evening. No matter, because the 5 course delivered more than enough to leave us completely floored. The evening opened with a palate initiator of carrots, goat cheese, and walnuts. I will be honest, I was not excited. Carrots and goat cheese are genuinely two of my least favorite foods on the planet. But I gave it a try and it was absolutely heavenly. A perfect encapsulation of what this kitchen does: it takes ingredients you think you know and transforms them into something you cannot stop thinking about. My absolute favorites of the evening were the tuna carpaccio, the wagyu flank steak, and the pierogis. Each one was cooked and composed to perfection. Everything melted in my mouth and left me wishing the courses would never end. My one constructive note is on the oyster course. I love oysters and eat them often, so I was genuinely looking forward to this one. The portion, two very small oysters with modest accompaniments of horseradish, a small salsa, and lemon, felt a little light even by tasting menu standards. I would love to see either four oysters at that size or two larger ones. It was gone so quickly and felt slightly out of step with the generosity of every other course. That small note aside, Blood & Sand delivered one of the most memorable dining experiences I have had in a long time. Every single person on that floor, from the bartenders to the host to the incredible Jelly, went above and beyond to make the night comfortable, fun, intimate, and genuinely special. We will absolutely be back, and next time I will not wait so long given that I practically live next door.

When I arrived, the place was empty. Maybe 2 tables with patrons. I gave them my name for my reservation, and they sat me at the bar... I was not happy. I wanted a table to MYSELF. I could have just walked in for that. I did express my disappointment for making a reservation and still being sat at the bar, but I just stayed at the bar (why?? IDK). The music was SUPER loud at the bar; I expressed that and they adjusted the sound, which was nice! The actual space is BEAUTIFUL. Old building, but elevated decor. PERFECT for date night or girls' night. The bathroom is gorgeous and clean; there's a huge, gorgeous mirror right outside for you to take pics in. See below, lol. I told the bartender what brought me in and he congratulated me. Very kind! He helped guide me through the menu and informed me of the 5 & 10 course options. I decided to go with a la carte items. The menu had a lot of upscale items, that I would prob never try, i.e. frog legs & caviar, or items I'm allergic to, lol. I started with the dead leaves and the dirty ground for my drink. It was good. Not too sweet. I opted for the Pasta Burro e Parmigiano. I mean... It was good. Nothing to write home about. It honestly gave buttered noodles with parm cheese & truffle. I low key want to come back and try the halibut or the poutine fries. My bill was $50+ and I left hungry. I think I will come back when I'm spending someone else's money.

This place did have fresh food, I'll give it that. But, it definitely lacked in aspects that didn't make it amazing or something I'd really suggest unless someone I knew was vegetarian. We were served quickly but definitely felt like the staff had a very "meh" attitude. It's a very specific type of place, mismatched furniture, kind of eclectic. It gives very "lived in vibes". The food itself was okay. The steak dumpling were probably my favorite but I wish there was more options for dipping sauce rather than just chili crisp oil. I ordered the big Thai wrap, and while it was good, I had to ask for extra sauce because the lettuce was just overwhelming, like there was just a giant wad of it thrown in there. The wrap itself is a rice paper so you really can't put it down when you eat it or it just falls apart. But, overall, with extra sauce, rearranging things a bit everything was generally good. Would I go out of my way to go back? Probably not but it's definitely a great place to try for yourself.
