We always get checked on by the people doing our nails. This last time around we wanted to go outside of the box and get something fun and get her prom nails. This is what our nails came out like. We both took multiple photos of inspo, showed it to our nail lady and let them do what they thought would be best and we both love our nails. My first visit to Gossip was about 2.5 years ago. . .I've visited a lot since then. Manis, pedis, refills, I've even brought my mom and friends here when they visit. When I first came, my experience was amazing, so was the service. However, a bigger Asian guy used to run the front desk and he was always pleasant and treated me nice. Well, there is a new lady (and I will refer to her as new lady) now and from what I've noticed, she has been here about a year or little more. She's rude and her tone is demeaning. I don't like that and I don't like her. She knows who I am due to the fact that I am a regular customer. The first time she was rude to me was by telling me that they charge a fee for longer nails, which is fine but when I asked "Oh, is this new? I've never been charged this fee." The girl taking my card said "its new" and the new lady interrupted slightly yelling "NO! Its always been this way!" ok. . . The second time was when I saw a girl in my alma matter sweater and I said our school chant, the girls mom looked at me and laughed saying "she has no idea, its her brothers sweater!" The new lady turns around swiftly and says TO ME "What's going on!" Me and the mom looked super confused. She goes "Oh, I thought you were making trouble, we don't need that here." LOOKING AT AND TALKING TO ME!!!!! Yesterday. . .I went and got a pedicure and I told the nail tech that the water was cold. As she was trying to warm it up the new lady comes over to me and says "we've been trying to fix our water all day. It won't get hot. We don't ever have hot water when it gets cold outside." I told her I'm a regular there and I don't ever remember them NOT having hot water when its cold. She continues to say "Do you want it or do you want to leave?" The salon gets a 1 star because by how expensive it is you would expect your nails to be exactly how you asked them to be but instead they look nothing alike. They always switch up their price. you go in for a refill and they want to charge you as much as the set. they tack on "shaping" fee and then "color" fee and just about anything extra they can. why would you charge me for length and shape when you already know it's a refill. However! This is truly the most ridiculous nail job I have ever seen. You can clearly tell the difference on both hands as they look completely different. Even after the first hand I had told her to shorten the French tip, she still did the whole next hand like this. I'm shocked. To top it all off, my pointer finger broke the next day. I have been getting my nails done at this location for 6+ years... paying $150 every 2 weeks to do so. I had an appointment for 1/17 and requested ombré with diamonds. They were horrible. Bulky, not enough color between blends, and I requested coffin and they were square. It was 7:30 by the time they were done and as dissatisfied as I was, I knew there was no time to redo. I called first thing the next morning and expressed my concerns, all while being told I'm a great customer and they would take care of me. I figure it wouldn't hurt to have a few good techs' to go to. Big mistake. The guy never offered me a drink, he removed the arm rest at one point leaving my arms to rest on the corner of the table for the rest of the service, he got my fingers with the little grinding tools several times, I had the clear nail stuff built up under every nail and on my skin, and the very next day my shellac was chipping. Horrible service!! The last time I went in, I asked for Denise again. They never said anything to me about Denise being unavailable and some other chick came and got me set up at the table. I'm thinking she's probably just helping get me ready and getting a drink in my hand until Denise is ready. Nope, when she went to sit down, I turned to the desk and asked where Denise was. Then they proceed to tell me that Denise wouldn't be available for an hour and asked me if I wanted to wait for her. I was dumbfounded and incredibly pissed off. I kinda felt bad for saying that I wanted someone else in front of this other tech, so, I let her proceed. When she was done, you could see the brush strokes in the shellac paint job. All the hype with the free drinks is just that - hype. My daughter was well taken care of by her nail tech with both her mani and pedi so I definitely appreciated that. However, my pedicurist was an older women who did an okay job on my feet but a terrible job painting them. When I pointed out some of the issues, they hushed me and started a commotion about something totally irrelevant to what I wanted taken care of. My nail tech was okay but with all the experience these women brag about, things could have been done with more care. It is so difficult to find a good nail salon where the people care about your needs and not just the money. But I am optimistic and will keep looking until I find one. This place is the worst. My toe nail is still crooked from the way they cut it and angled it. Not only that but they also cut the bed of my nail on 2 of my toes which finally healed. On a second note, I got a full set with no tips and the same day 2 nails broke. The third day 2 more broke. I went in and they fixed it as I was pleased with this I tipped her 20 dollars. On my way out they said it's going to be 50 today for a refill. Ironically I did not need a refill as I was in there 3 days earlier. Continued to argue with me that I owed them for a full set. The shellac nail polish was done in a hurry, and was completed at the same time while I was seated in the pedicure spa chair while another technician complete my pedicure. They charge you $8 for taking off your old nail polish/shellac, which I understand. But no one mentioned this and was a surprise to me while checking out. For a shellac manicure, a pedicure with a lavender scrub and the removal of my old polish it came out to $67.00. What a beautiful salon. They have lights, chandeliers, high quality massage chairs, and plenty of staff to accommodate all walk ins. I was only getting a mani while my friend was getting a pedi, but they still were able to sit us next to each other. They also gave us drinks, I recommend the strawberry mimosas! They come with little pink pearl beads that are filled with strawberries! They float to the top when you start drinking, they are fun and delicious. And surprisingly the shellac mani was not too pricey! I highly recommend to treat yourself here, makes you feel fancy :) read more

Whenever I visit home, I always need to get my nails done. I had my "go to" nail salon until one bad experience and vowed to never go again. It's really hard to find a place you love and can trust they won't eff up your nails, ya know? Well, the search is over! I love love love this place & here's why: 1) Friendly staff. I was immediately greeted after entering the nail salon. She told me to go pick my color and then I was greeted by another nice lady who escorted me over to my chair. I was in dire need of a pedicure and shellac manicure. Both of the ladies were so nice and friendly! Not to bash other nail salons, but everyone here is extremely friendly. I never felt like they were having their own side conversations or whatever. They always made sure I was happy with the amount of pressure, shape of my nails and temperature of water. I didn't feel like my feet were going through a grinder or that my finger nails were going to be ripped off by the file. 2) Overall decor & cleanliness. This place is HUGE. I didn't count how many pedicure chairs are there or spots for just a manicure, but it seemed to be pretty endless. For how large of a space this is, it's very clean. All of the equipment was nice & clean---just how it should be! There's a huge TV for every row of the salon and lots of pretty decor. Nicely decorated ceiling and pretty beads add a touch of elegance and fun for your relaxation time. 3) Lots of variety. So many colors to pick from! If you're like me and prefer your shellac hands to match your feet, this place is well stocked with perfect matches. There's also a wide variety of different kinds of pedicures you can from! You can have some fresh feet no matter what your time and budget is. And it doesn't stop there... there's so many choices as to what beverage you want to sip on while getting pampered. From the usual water and soda pop, you can also treat yourself with a margarita or glass of wine. They wisely limit you to two alcoholic beverages---ain't nobody got time for drunk driving! You gotta make it home safely to watch your prime time television show (i.e. Scandal, How to Get Away with Murder). Can't say enough about how great this place is. It's average pricing, so you aren't going to break the bank. You can still treat yourself and buy the new pair of booties you've been eyeing. Only reason 2 stars and not 1 is because Kelly did a good job on my nails and my nail shape. She was polite and detailed and patient. But my sisters tech, shame I didn't catch her name, understood nothing my sister asked for and would laugh after being told again and again. (Language barriers are no excuse for a horrendous job) My sister complained the manager supposedly was not there. The next day lulu scheduled my sister to come back to have someone fix her nails though soon after ***lulu the manager called back and told my sister not to come back because they don't want to fix her nails, instead she will get half her money back!!!!!*** Can you believe that!! I have had bad services where they even do it free a second time and make sure I'm 100% happy at my usual place (out of town) and to have a place simply not care that you're unhappy is just not acceptable. So many people I know rave about this place and heard the story and will go to another place instead now. This location is just convenient when you live in the neighborhoods surrounding it. There is a new place opening up very nearby soon and hopefully they care about their clients. Don't go to this place unless you want your nail ripped off by an impatient nail tech! (I think her name was Lynn) I went to Gossip & Co Nail Spa on July 8, 2021 for a pedicure and manicure (full set with acrylics). I sat down in the pedicure chair and one of the ladies began my pedicure and another one came over to start taking off the acrylics I already had on my nails. She began to clip the nails, she then grabbed a nail tip and started running it under the acrylics since they were already were lifting. She was able to successfully get one of the nails off off and moved on to my thumb. She ran the tip under it and it hurt, so I brought this to her attention. She then did it again and I pulled my hand away and said for the second time that really hurt. She then stopped and walked away and got a bowl of acetone to soak my other nails. When she came back I told her I think she ripped my nail off and showed it to her. She told me she was going to remove it with cotton ball soaked in acetone and put tinfoil over it. She then walked away again to bring colors for me decide the color I wanted. As I was sitting there I told her I don't think I should put anything else on top of this because my nail is ripped off down really deep and she told me it's gonna be worse if I do not put something on top of it. I told her I did not want anything out on it because it already hurt really bad. She then tried to take it off and I told her it hurt too bad and to please not touch my nail and that I will take care of it when I get home. She took the rest of my acrylic nails off. When she finished taking my acrylics, she did not inform her manager that she ripped off my nail. The entire time I sat there while they finished my pedicure, I never saw her come out of the back. Even as I left I looked around and did not see her anywhere in the store. It seems very unprofessional and cowardly to sit in the back and hide. She did not even bother to tell a manager that she injured a customer. When I went to pay I was charged for the nail removal and I informed the ladies at the front desk that I didn't think it was very fair to pay for the removal considering a nail tech ripped off my nail essentially causing me to be unable to get my nails done until it heals. They removed the charge for that service however I never received an apology or anything from them. Very disappointing to no receive an apology or any compensation for my nail being ripped off. read more

Been here twice now. First time I got a shellac manicure and they applied normal nail polish. When it came time to massage my arms, the nail polish slid off and we had to start over. Thought I would give them a second try which I now regret. I got another shellac manicure, and 5 days later, 3 of my fingers are chipped and peeling off. Currently sitting in the worst pedicure of my life. Started off by soaking my feet in completely tepid water. Make sure you do not get Kevin. So rough, I'm actually cringing in pain. He dropped one of the tools and picked it right back up and started using it before I could object. Every other nail spa I've been to changes out the tool if they drop it on the floor.
