I was pleasantly surprised with the end results. Went in for a mani pedi after work. They weren't friendly, but polite enough. Accepted feedback on making the French tip thinner. I'm not sure if they have a basket of sanitized tools on their carts or they just toss them back in and they used clippers/files/cuticle tools on me which have been used on others. I didn't ask; too tired. I'm pretty happy with how they look and I'm really particular about how my nails look after spending money on them. The deluxe levels were not worth it. My old salon(closed now) did a great hand, leg, and foot massage and this one was just them touching me. read more

I want to say that I love this place but I really do not. I've been twice and both times I got my nails done, they looked like they had been done by an amateur. Overlay with shellac on top. Easy $45 anywhere. That's a lot $ to be dishing out for terrible work. The polish was messy and the shaping was not right. It seems like there is only one gal that does good work and she's apparently impossible to book. The quality of work here is very mediocre for what it is. Don't be fooled by the ambiance! I'm just gonna go ahead and say it...this ain't it chief. After a long process of my nails being drilled and stripped of their layers just so I could get the shellac off, the lady repeatedly filed my nails down to the bed even after I continuously asked her to stop. Not only that, she a dug sharp tool into my skin causing me to profusely bleed. The white paint is horribly textured and sis somehow managed to not evenly coat each layer all the way because you can see multiple layers of paint on each finger nail. I really like this place and have been coming here for the past year. What i like most is that they were the first salon I visited that ever used the plastic pining for the pedicures. I went in today and had the WORST experience. The lady who prepared my water (I've never had a problem with water temp) prepped the water and it was scalding hot when I began to place my foot in it and she acted like it was no big deal. I almost kicked her out of her little stool. She was too nonchalant for my liking. Then the lady who did my pedicure did some other things I did not like. My regular lady was not present or else I would have waited for her. I did not enjoy my visit today, the up side was that they had new OPI colors which is one of the reasons I like them; they always have a variety of colors to choose from. read more

I used to love coming to this salon, I always had great experiences with pedicures and shellac. I tried the dip once but it was so thick and smudged and honestly looked awful. I thought, well everyone has an off day. The owner or manager saw me look a little upset so the next time I came in she took care of my nails. The dip was much better but she did a top coat of the shellac and that same day my nail color chipped off on one of my nails. I didnt have time to go back so it had to wait until the next time. Now, this past visit (3 weeks ago) I went for a pedicure and my usual shellac polish change. The tech I had for my pedicure was alright, but just a little tooo gentle with everything, she barely rubbed my feet for callouses, had to keep asking her to trim nails more, etc. But the shellac polish change on my hands.... :( Polish was layered SO thickly, I had left over shellac on my fingers and the clear top coat was just covering my finger tips and under my nails, the shape was off and I actually had to ask her to file down the shellac a bit on my nails because there were obvious lumps of polish. I actually complain and the manager worked to get left over polish and top coat off my fingers and shaped the nails a little better. she did also tell me that it was because of the color that it was so thick (I've used this color many other times and it was never so thick). Again, she suggested that next time I come in I ask for her directly but honestly, I shouldnt have to ask for a specific person to have a basic polish change turn out well. This is a review based solely on the pedicure I received. I had visit this establishment on Monday 9/11/17 at around 5:30pm. I chose to come here because my nail place I wanted to visit had changed their hours and decided to close Mondays from now. When I first walked in, I made it clear that I wanted someone who would give good massage. I chose the $48 pedicure that came with the hot stone and paraffin wax, which came with a complimentary glass of wine. But the wine couldn't even make up for the horrible pedicure job. The lady had cut my toe nails and proceeded to "trim" my cuticles. Instead of trimming it, she PLUCKED at it. That's the best word I can use to describe the motion she was doing. When she had began to file my nails, I asked for square with round edges. I ended up with square and SHARP edges instead. I had to tell her to fix it at the end of the pedicure. Then came time for the massage. Now, my massage came with hot rocks. I saw in her basket, she had 6 rocks. So I'm thinking I would get a great long massage. WRONG. I wouldn't consider what she gave me as a massage. It was more like rubbing in a very fast motion in 1 area. I almost got a rock burn! It was so bad to the point that I pulled my leg away and told her that it wasn't pleasant. She was lacking sufficient massage oil and she just kept rubbing that rock in one spot. Then, she started massaging my feet. But with just her hands, NO ROCKS. But she barely rubbed my feet. She kept going back to my legs and in the same spot. I almost got a GLOVE BURN! I had to ask her for more oil so that way the rubber gloves weren't rubbing against my bare skin. Next thing I knew, she was done with the massage. And I counted only 4 hot stones being used! She didn't use any stones to rub my feet, just my legs. I was very disappointed! Let's not forgot the horrible paint job. She painted top coat all over my cuticles and skin. It was starting to lift the next day and it was scratching against some of my shoes. It was very irritating all week. I wouldn't recommend this lady to anyone. I believe her name was Molly or Holly? To be honest, I wouldn't come here ever again. They're way too pricey. I would much rather go somewhere else and get the same pedicure for only $40. I ended up tipping the lady for her time because I felt really bad if she worked on my feet for over 1 hour just to not getting any tips. Nails are still a service industry so I wouldn't want to stiffen someone of their services. read more

I like this nail salon. They're in a good location, clean and friendly, but today when I went I was not happy with the service I received. I usually always go to the same nail tech to get my nails done and she's always on point BUT today when I took my daughter to get her nails done the girl was ON HER PHONE HALF THE TIME texting and talking! Usually I don't mind them being on their phone as long as they can multitask but her phone (which wasn't on vibrate) kept ringing and she would stop to answer it then kept stopping to text prolonging the process and it was pissing me off I almost didn't leave a tip. I asked her if everything was ok (meaning get off your damn phone and be professional and finish my baby's nails). I hope next time is different because if not I'm gonna open my mouth and tell her about herself and NOT leave a tip. I understand situations happen and maybe she was dealing with something personal but she should have handled that before she started on my daughters nails, after she finished, or even apologized for being unprofessional. read more

I have been going to Phoenix Nails for almost a year about every 2 weeks. When I got a pedi it really did not matter who; I really was not impressed with the pedicure services. So, I would try different places for that services. However, my nails were always done my Terry. It is hard to read her personality; you do not know if she likes you or if you are bothering her. Because I like my nails I ignored it. This Tuesday I arrived for appointment and was told she was on vacation. They suggested someone else do it, but I decided to wait for Terry. I came back the next day to see when I could make an appointment and she was booked. Decided to let another Nail tech them. I was not happy with the results. I informed Terry what my concerns were about my nails, and she seemed nonchalant and dismissive about my concern. I cancelled my following appointment and told her I would not be back. If I tell you my concern, don't make excuses about why it is that way. If it is wrong, correct it and satisfy the customer. I felt like just another dollar. Customer service is a necessity. I will not continue to pay Terry, not be happy with the service, and Terry act like she is doing me a favor. There is a new nail salon in the area. I will be there soon. read more

I appreciated the cool bags they have for the pedicure stations, and my hands and feet look wonderful. Went to Phoenix nail shop today because it was the only one still open. The nail salon closed at 6 and I got there at 5:15. Me and my friend both were getting pedis,the lady ran the water for my friend but forgot to turn mines on which was fine. Eventually when I said something she said "oh I forgot" I stayed "no problem it's ok". I waited about 25 mins for the lady to come because she had someone else which was fine because I like my feet to soak. The issue came when the lady was very rude to my friend because she wanted to try a lime color. The lady stated no you should do white because I don't want to take off the lime when you don't like it.. smh.. my friend just said ok and let her do the white instead.. when my lady came she was nice,didn't talk to much everything was good... she finished my nails at 6:05 (I know because I looked) got up to dry my nails while sitting, someone took my payment right after that the lady that did my friends nails comes over and says your all done and turned off the nail dryer. I said ma'am I just sat down 2 mins ago. She then says well what time are you going to leave then. Honestly I just said ok we will leave. I WILL NEVER RETURN BACK and I don't recommend anyone going there as well there's lots of great places in cypress and this wasn't it. It honestly deserves no stars. read more

I came to Phoenix Nails on an impulse because I wanted my nails done the same day. My usual nail lady - Zumi - was booked up, but she said she could have someone else help me if I wanted to come in today, so I agreed. BIG MISTAKE! I got a shellac mani and a lavender pedi. I felt like they were just trying to rush me out of there the entire time - they rushed through the mani/pedi and they rushed me on picking my colors. I had to tell them several times I needed a few more minutes to decide because they weren't listening. On my mani, they asked how I wanted my nails shaped and I told them square. They are not square at all and some of my nails aren't evenly filed down. I had to ask them at the end to go back and refile many of my nails because they were still rough. One of my nails was bubbling on top so they had to go back and re-touch it. If they weren't so quick to rush through it all, maybe they would've done a better job. I will never go back here. Instead, I recommend Nail Garden on 1960. Fantastic service and they offer you mimosas or wine with your mani/pedi. If you have to come to Phoenix, ask for Zumi. Otherwise, avoid it. read more
