I had a very frustrating experience with this eye office due to poor communication and a lack of accountability from both the Northborough and Worcester locations. This kind of disorganized scheduling and lack of basic customer service is unacceptable, especially in a healthcare setting. I would not recommend this office to anyone looking for reliable or respectful service. I received an email confirmation a week prior to my appointment clearly stating that my exam was scheduled for 3:20 PM in Northborough. I arrived at the Northborough office at 3:05 PM, only to be told they were not seeing patients that day and that my appointment was actually scheduled at the Worcester location. Confused, I showed them my confirmation email, which still listed Northborough as the appointment location at 3:20 PM. I asked if they could contact the Worcester office to let them know I was on my way. They refused, saying the Worcester office would only see me if I arrived within 15 minutes of my appointment -- and that their records listed my appointment as 3:10 PM, not 3:20. On the way to Worcester, I attempted to call Worcester and was routed through a central line. I asked them to notify the Worcester office or transfer my call so I could explain the situation. This was not done, rather I was placed on hold. I arrived at the Worcester office at 3:32 PM, still within 15 minutes of the time listed in my confirmation email. I again showed staff the confirmation with the 3:20 time and Northborough location. They still refused to see me, repeated that my appointment had been for 3:10 in Worcester, and gave no explanation or apology for the confusion or the lack of communication. At no point did anyone from the Northborough, Worcester, or central scheduling teams offer an apology, a solution, or even an acknowledgment that the error was on their end. I am honestly shocked by the negative review below. Yes, many of the staff are younger (I'm guessing mid 30s? Dr seemed older) but I honestly have never been happier with an exam! I've gone to a few local spots over the years, and the horrific LensCrafters. I have never had a doctor or optical staff treat me with such kindness and offer genuine recommendations. I also had them talk me out of a pricier frame that didn't work for me. I like their selection of well crafted independent frames as well as big names like rayban, coach, Tiffany, etc (very few made in china). If you let them know your budget, they do their best to work with you. It's a small, family owned place, Dr. Goswick told me his wife was an optician there. The doctor has the best prices for contacts I've seen. He took time to explain my eyes to me in a way that no doctor ever has, really bringing home the importance of eye health/uv protection. These people aren't here to make a quick buck, they're there for lasting relationships. And yeah, the girl selling me my glasses had pink hair (bringing home the bit in a previous review about millennials) but she knew what she was talking about more than any place I've been and I left knowing she helped me pick a winning pair of glasses. read more

GREAT PLACE : Not only have the Drs with no judgement helped in Medical Eye Emergencies, I needed to get back into proper eyewear ! The Optician Staff worked very hard to fit me & satisfy my multiple needs for transition lens for reading, computer& distance ! An employee at the desk had a green pair of glasses ON : she let me try them on , right then ! Hoorah! I ordered the same pair, had so many Compliments on them; kept referring people to this office; Then I broke my beautiful Green Glasses; carried the remains into the Northborough Office ! KRISTEN saw my Grief & Immediately went to work locating the exact same Frame , nothing ! I felt sick , I had to wear my contacts ; I had to find a new frame :( KRISTEN said she try to locate the frame by calling that Employee (at my request) SURPRISED by KRISTENs call to me : She called the Company L.A.Works & pleaded my case ! This Gal went way out of her way & found me the exact same Green Eyewear so I bought TWO ! I'd give Dr. Gowsick and the staff more stars if I could. I'm very sensitive and tend to get very dizzy when changing my prescription. Dr. Goswick was so patient with me and talked me through everything he was doing and why. It turns out my previous eyeglass prescription was way too strong and I have pretty significant astigmatism that has gone untreated in my contact prescription. I had to leave rather quickly after my exam to get back to work and appreciated how no one in the office pushed me or tried to persuade me to get glasses from their office (every other eye doctor office I've been to has done this). As I stated earlier, I'm quite sensitive to any change and I walked out of my appointment feeling slightly dizzy and like I was in a fishbowl, but the staff helped me and scheduled a follow up appointment for me to make sure I'm comfortable with the changes that have been made! I would recommend Goswick Eyes to anyone in the area who is looking for a compassionate, honest and thorough eye doctor. read more

I highly recommend Goswick Eye. Anytime I have been in for an exam, Dr. Goswick and his staff have always been so helpful. I appreciate the overall level of attentiveness. I have a bit of a wonky prescription and he always takes his time to make sure he really gets it right. He and his staff ask me questions about my lifestyle, which I've realized is an important part of choosing the right contacts and/or glasses. He was incredibly helpful in my search for contacts. I am picky about contact lens comfort and my eyes get dry easily. He encouraged me to continue following up with him until I found a brand that was comfortable for me, which I did. It made a world of difference. Being someone that has needed glasses my entire life and has a family history of eye disorders, I realize the importance of good vision and healthy eyes! Review for Goswick Eye - Hudson I had an extremely disappointing experience at Goswick Eye - Hudson. Their customer service was terrible--unfriendly, unhelpful, and completely unwilling to take any accountability for their own scheduling mistake. I arrived for an appointment that their system generated, only to be told it never transferred over to their scheduling system. Instead of offering a solution or even a simple apology, they refused to see me and showed zero concern for the inconvenience. It's clear that customer service is not a priority here. I should have read the reviews beforehand, as most of them were negative--lesson learned. I do not recommend this place and will be taking my business elsewhere. Save yourself the trip and find another doctor. I went and purchased glasses when they first opened. Everyone was courteous and professional. I decided to get my exam there this time around after an okay experience . Dr. Goswick spent most of the exam talking about himself and not really listening to my concerns. One of the other reviews said he talked "at" them and that is exactly what I experienced. After the exam I was ushered out to the sales floor and given to a salesperson who just tried to push expensive frames and add ons. The sales staff came off as immature and I got an attitude from them when I asked for my prescription to browse other shops. It was an all around uncomfortable experience. read more

Katie gave me great personal service, explaining all of the features of a new set of glasses. I had attempted to reorder from a big box store and even brought in the features from my last order but the rep wasn't knowledgeable about them. I went to another big box store and found little explanation as well. Another big box store I didn't go to had bad reviews. I wanted to try Goswick to support a local business but was afraid their prices would be higher. However for the basic glasses I wanted their price was noticeably better. I had an appointment at Goswick Eye in Northborough last week- and it was a really fun eye appointment- yes, I said it a fun appointment. Dr. Goswick is an intellectual combination of Freddy Mercury and Zoolander- very interesting appointment where he explained everything regarding my eye health and supported the discussion with additional pictures and explanations. Then the real fun begins- the front office staff is a group of professional, knowledgable and fun people- who helped me pick out two pair of funky fresh new glasses! I needed a pair of Maui Jim sunglasses to replace the ones that I broke. I walked into Goswick Eye and got a warm welcome with immediate service. I wanted a certain pair and they had it with the lens in two different colors. I was told which lens would work the best for my needs. They had what I wanted in stock at a reasonable price. As someone who hates going to the doctors this was a pleasant experience. As someone who doubly hates anything put near their eyes this was a pretty painless exam as most of it with new non invasive exam machines. Quick, easy and painless. Overall found out a previous diagnosis was wrong and I had nothing to be nervous about. Got an updated prescription for lenses and had my new ones in less than a week. I had a wonderful experience here as Dr. Goswick and his staff were incredibly thoughtful and helpful with my eye examination. From the moment you walk in, you encounter a welcoming atmosphere with friendly people. I appreciated how the process was explained to me from beginning to end. He was the only person after 4 trial contacts to nail it and make me feel like It was my normal eyes and never feeling like I had any contacts on..I felt horrible having to say no , not comfortable but on the last pair he nailed it!!! I wore them at a baby shower and forgot I even had my contacts on... I also would squint with my old contacts on with all the Dr.s I had seen ..!! Gone are the days of boring eye doctor visits. Dr. Goswick and the entire staff at Goswick Eye is incredible. They are super friendly and helpful. Dr. Goswick is very personable and does an outstanding job explaining his observations and available options. At one point he said "We really love what we do". And, I must say it shows!
