Every single person we've interacted with at this company has been kind, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable. Twilla in particular has been wonderful--she's attentive to color choices and design and really takes the time to understand what will work best in our space. She is also very attentive as a customer service professional. Honestly, it feels like we're old friends because of the care she shows for my family during every visit. At one point we tried to save a little money by purchasing two honeycomb blinds from Amazon for our attic, and the quality difference was NIGHT AND DAY compared to the blinds we've gotten from Budget Blinds. That experience really reinforced that going with Budget Blinds and working with Twilla is a long-term investment in your home. We won't DIY again. It's also worth mentioning that three years later, nothing has broken. We have four boys (ages 18-6), so that alone says a lot about the quality and durability of the product!

Windows, something everyone needs, yet nobody really wants to buy. Our home was built in 1965. When…read morewe purchased it, it still had the original Andersen Beauty Line series of windows in it. While most did not open due to being 55 years old, the frames themselves were in good shape. I started my window search with Renewal By Andersen, Pella, and then I happened to stop into a little shop on Route 19 named Blyth & Shearn. I met with one of the business partners, Gregg. Gregg proceeded to show me the offerings which Andersen, Loewen, etc have to offer. Gregg scheduled me promptly to come out and measure our window openings. Once he measured them, he promptly sent me a quote for a superior Andersen product, the E-Series Of windows. There was some back and forth about what we particularly wanted, painted trim, unpainted trim, blinds in the windows, etc. Once we established what we truly wanted, took a look at the pricing, we decided this is who we need to be dealing with so we pulled the trigger and put down the deposit. It took roughly 6 weeks for the windows to be manufactured. We had the windows installed the week of April 6, 2020, and for our 7 windows we had installed it took roughly 3 days of work. When it comes to a large purchase such as this, here are the things people need to consider, and are even more important than pricing alone. Service. This is where Gregg and Bob's business shines. Their installers are true professionals and artisans at what they do. Installing windows, cutting trim, bending brake metal is a true craft. They are craftsmen and they excel. The brake metal work on the outside of the windows is beautiful and in many ways it is seamless. They use superior materials, superior caulking, foam around the openings and use high quality woods of your choosing on the interior window casings. Blyth & Shearn's team leaves your home in excellent shape, they are accommodating, work diligently and complete the task with confidence. Danny, Quinn and Roger, thank you for the work you did. If you require windows for your home, I highly suggest giving Blyth & Shearn a call, because you will be buying a product that last, that installed correctly, and is backed up by owners that genuinely are concerned that the product is installed correctly, to your specification, in a timely fashion at a great price. We couldn't be happier wit the finished

The location, community, events, maintenance staff and Tanner in the office are all absolutely amazing. Unfortunately, I've again experienced unethical behaviors. I now understand the abundance of unethical lease clauses. I moved out at the end of February, it just isn't worth it. There are too many things to list but to name a few, the stairwells are dirty, spit, food, dog waste etc... it took them over a month to clean up vomit in a common stairwell. Residents do not clean up after their pets and management does not reinforce this policy. Doors are left unsecure. I personally have experienced harassment from the Manager, Shay and have the gaslighting emails to prove it. Leases were constantly sent with wrong dates, prices, terms etc....-be careful what you sign. I honestly thought Shay was making an effort to be better, but have recently learned otherwise. I reached out to AJH management several times only to be ignored. Upon moving, as a courtesy, I sent them some videos of concerning issues I found in my apt. We'll see if they do the right thing for all residents well being. Unfortunately, Shay uses her position as a place of power instead of service and TBH I find it unprofessional, childish and exhausting. 1400 Main has so much potential, the location is perfect and the neighborhood vibe could truly have a positive affect on future residents lives. That being said, if the owner of 1400 Main Apartments would ever be inclined to ethically clean this place up, I'd love to & can help. Residents should not have to see this mess everyday or deal with harassment in a place they call their home!

No issues with that so far. Cons include thin walls, where I have had to resort to my couch to sleep more times than I can count due to hearing a neighbor's music since one can hear everything through these walls. Super disappointing. People drive like fast & furious through parking garages. Printers in the business center do not function half the time and so I have also been told. No functioning buzzer system to allow guests in.

After reaching out to several other window companies, we knew that once Jim from Windows Pittsburgh stopped by to provide us with a quote, his company was the one that we wanted to to go with. From the moment Jim, the owner of Windows Pittsburgh, stopped by he was completely professional and made sure to keep our consultation around an hour, which we appreciated. We went back and forth for weeks about grids and colors, and Jim was extremely patient and didn't pressure us at all during this time. For anyone who has shopped for windows, you would understand how "sales-pitchy" these consultations can be. Jim did not make us feel pressured or rushed in to a decision what so ever. He was just a good, local guy, who was thankful to do business with us. Windows Pittsburgh is locally owned, and operated. I liked this because I knew that we were giving back to our community vs. giving in to the larger window companies. After our initial consultation we did have one person come to get exact measurements, and then our actual instillation was approx. 4 months after our order. The installation was scheduled for three days, but it only took the installers two days total. I can not speak highly enough about the installation process because they really took their time to do things right, and cleaned up (very well) as they moved throughout the house. Drop cloths were used on the floors, and they swept and cleaned up after each window. I didn't worry at any time about broken glass, nails, etc. They did a fantastic job, and even wiped and cleaned the new windows (they will never be this clean again!) When I met with Jim initially, I told him that I heard of Windows Pittsburgh from Yelp. He seemed surprised by this, because he doesn't use Yelp for advertising anymore. As you know, this company isn't as heavily broadcasted in the Pittsburgh area. I'm hoping that our review gets noticed, and that anyone looking for new windows or exterior doors in the Pittsburgh area will consider using Windows Pittsburgh, they will really do a great job and you will be happy with the results!
