We wanted to move quickly and Bill was very accommodating. The crew assigned to our job was led by Gus. The entire team was great. All were punctual, hard working, and respectful. True professionals! We were so impressed with Bill and the entire team from start to job completion. The quality of the turf they use, the amazing employee crew members they have, and their competitive pricing made it very easy to choose Go Turf Direct from many others. We had called a couple companies and after 2 of the 'big' companies came out we began to get very nervous about the process. Companies "E T" & "T T" spent most of their time bashing each other and trying to impress us with their sales binders which were very identical- filled with fluff. One of the competitor reps measured more than 25% the actual area and passed it off as waste we needed to pay in order to get the look we wanted. And both only showed us 2 of the 'most popular' choices. What did we get from Bill? Focused attention on what his company offered and what we wanted to see in a backyard change. Honest measurements and disclosures on what warranties would and would not cover, along with what his company could help with. Multiple samples to choose from, guessing at least 15 or more, to see color and height options. Clear options on scheduling and work completion. And great follow up during and after the job. What did we get from the crew? Absolute pros with respect and courtesy to our family and home. We had points of contact for the crew, they reached out as soon as they had any questions or concerns and gave us options AND time to process things. We had an existing drain that was discovered to have been installed improperly. The crew was able to fix the problem, ensure the whole drainage system was working and work it into the new yard at very little delay to the project completion and almost no impact on the original quote. We had 4 companies come out and give us quotes. We went with Bill because his prices were fair and we got the feeling he was a nice, honest person. We were not wrong. They started the job immediately and were so thorough, professional, kind and efficient. Bill has a wonderful crew working for him. And Bill came out each day, usually twice to check on the job. I was amazed by how much prep work went into this. We had wanted to do this ourselves but after watching what they did to get the ground ready so that turf will lay properly and last, I am so glad we did not attempt this. The YouTube videos make it look easy but watching 4 guys work 32 hours each to put in about 500 sq feet of turf with all of the special machines there is just no way. Our yard looks beautiful and clean and well done. We went back and forth between sod and turf and now that we have the turf I am happy to know it will always look like it did when they finished. Nice and green, perfect and best of all no maintenance or water. We also had them do pavers which again, we thought we should do ourselves and save some money but after seeing the beautiful pattern they laid and how much prep work and time they put in to make it last forever I am glad we had them do it. We have done pavers on our own before. It was hard, and they didn't look like this when we were done. After seeing what really goes into this process I would highly recommend them. Do NOT waste your time looking for another turf company! Bill is a man of his word and still works off an honest gentleman's hand shake. He and his company came to my residence to fix a massively botched turf install by another licensed contractor. The issues we had: the seams were stretched apart, base was done incorrectly, they punctured one of my sprinkler lines and the edging was a dangerous. Bill and his guys came in and tore out the turf, dug out the bad base, brought in the correct base, had concrete curbed edging installed and fixed my water line and added drains where they needed to be (for no extra charge). His guys were clean and respected our yard and property along with being completely friendly to us. He had our job done before he said he would. He wouldn't even take the last payment till we walked the job together and ensured there was no issues. Upon final payment, he told us to call him if any issues ever popped up and he would fix them. I do not foresee any issues happening. Go Turf Direct is a company that deserves your business. I have only found a small few contractors that hold to their word and put out a perfect product. We met with Bill one Saturday, he was kind enough to come out for an estimate on the weekend (we have a very busy work schedule M-F), and literally, the rest is history! Not only was Bill and his work crew fantastic in terms of timeliness and professionalism, the price was very reasonable. We had turf in our last home so we were familiar with the price, installation, and preparation. We have special lighting in the turf area and the crew was very careful working with & around it. They rearranged the water system to ensure our palms remained hydrated as they capped much of the rest of the water system off. The product they use is excellent, I really love it. The prices vary even though the owner may say they aren't negotiable. Be sure to get details in writing of your specific plan because communication not always clear between owner and workers actually doing the installation. The guys do a good job, especially the guy in charge but keep an eye on the install and replacement of your landscaping to make sure it's done like you planned. If you have any issue or problem after they leave, it requires several calls to get corrections done later. Mine and my neighbors yards look good now, but both yards had problems that did require follow up and multiple calls. They have a good product and are knowledgeable, so if you keep an eye on the project you should be pleased with the results. read more

We live in Fallbrook and it can get very warm in the summer. As a result we were really struggling in an attempt to grow a lawn. We had rabbits eating our grass to the nub, brown spots from rabbit urine, weeds taking over, constant worry over the condition of the yard. It was almost a guarantee that our lawn would die every summer. Finally my husband suggested artificial turf as a solution. I was not sold..... my impression of turf was that it looked like a green carpet and oh so artificial. Also I was concerned about the product and the environment due to toxins with most products. Well.... we had three different companies come and give us estimates on our yard. When Bill arrived he was prepared with samples and I was very impressed with the product. No toxins, heat resistant and looked so natural my brother thought we had re-sodded our lawn. Once our project began Go Turf Direct worked until the job was completed. The crew was so nice and did so much more than I ever expected. They are very knowledgable about the product and the installation. We have since discovered that the installation is a large part of the process in making the drainage correct and the overall natural look of the lawn. As an added benefit our water bill is now more than half of what it was when we had a grass lawn. I have noticed that we have fewer ants and of course our rabbit population is pretty much gone. As a result we don't have as many coyotes in the yard. Even considering the current drought conditions, I wish we would have done this years ago. One of the things Go Turf Direct did that no other company offered was all of the paperwork required for the rebate program. So nice not to worry about all of that!
