I've been wanting to try this place out since last year and my family and I finally decided to go on a random Friday night. It's located in a shopping center (there's a racetrac sharing the area as well) but it's easy to find with the standout signage. We could tell from the parking lot that it wasn't super busy and once we walked in, we were greeted and taken to our table. The waiting area has all sorts of license plates, merch, an area for local businesses to leave cards and kinda gives you a colorful glimpse into the restaurant itself. We were seated in the Front Yard and my kiddos immediately fell in love with the vibrant colors of the decor, the bus that they could see which is located behind the bar area, and they each got a pack of wikki stixs that kept them occupied throughout our time at the table. The decor makes the space super fun, there are plenty do tvs around, and this was just a really family friendly place. Our waiter was attentive and took great care of us. While I was stuck between getting the MMY Patty Melt, I decided to go with the Totally Tubular Turkey Club. My husband got the Buckin' Buffalo, one kiddo opted for a cheeseburger and the other kiddo wanted chicken tenders. It took about 15 mins for the food to come and when it did it looked sooooo delicious. My club was fresh and tasted really good. Bacon, turkey, white American cheese, lettuce, tomato and I guess their house sauce all on sourdough. I loved it and I opted for onion rings instead of tots or fries because I really wanted some and really enjoyed them. The onion rings were not greasy and tasty so good. Everyone enjoyed their food (the kiddos mentioned their fries being a bit salty and after I tried one I agreed) but we were near the pinball room soooo after they finished they were asking if they could go okay games. Before we left the table, I got a cookies n cream milkshake which was sooooo good and came with whipped cream, Oreo crumbles on top and gummy worms. We did visit the pinball room and the kids had a blast. Bring cash to play most of the games but it was fun to see everyone having fun playing games and enjoying their Friday night. I ordered the Pimento Cheese Balls and the Trucker Burger. The cheese balls came with a sweet bacon jam and were a home run. Unfortunately, as someone who has eaten burgers all over the world the Trucker Burger was disappointing on many levels. First of all, it felt like a misleading description to describe the burger as having two "smash patties". These were definitely not smash patties under the traditional definition in my opinion. The bun was good, but the burger patties themselves were far too plump, lacked bounce, had no caramelization in the edges and were not juicy on the inside. It tasted like a burger you'd find at your neighbor's backyard BBQ with a general lack of flavor and course texture like the lean to fat ratio was off and the burger was cooked on too low a temperature. The staff was very friendly and the food came out quickly. Unfortunately, the burger was a let down and extremely overpriced. You're better off going to a fast casual spot like Freddy's where you can get a great smash burger for much less. read more

Food is good, but they pick and choose different families when seating. Waited for a table for five... was told 20 minutes. As we waited, another family of five walked in, the dad asked if she could just check for a space in the back, and magically a table became available for them. I really enjoyed my experience at Marietta Melt Yard. They have a diverse menu with lots of different options. I love the idea of always having a theme, their themed menus and decor are so cute they go all out! I really enjoyed the queso and my patty melt. The service was great and the hostess was awesome. Definitely recommend checking it out especially when they have fun themes going on. Great place to just grab a drink too if you're not hungry. This was our first time here and the food or service did not disappoint. We loved the Home Alone theme they had, which included the menu as well. It was pretty cool. The food and service were both great. I had the cheeseburger in paradise with sweet potato fries. I did not like the marshmallow sauce though. (I'm not big on marshmallows in general) They do have an arcade, but we didn't have time to stop in and play games. I would definitely return. read more

Food was very meh. Server was unenthusiastic...I get it, it was super busy on a Saturday evening but each table is different and I'm actually low maintenance and try to not be difficult. I could hear neighboring tables ask for multiple things on the fly as she was going past them so I get it, but since service is a big part of the experience, I think I would have upped my rating if it was warmer. We only came for the Home Alone pop-up and that part did not disappoint. The place was decked out and they had Home Alone playing on a screen. It was at the end when we were seated and I'd recommend just play it on a loop...another movie was selected after it ended but it wasn't one we were familiar with, so just my two cents would be to play 1&2 for that screen in particular. They told us it would be an hour wait at 4pm but thankfully only took 30 mins. It was packed with families and so we felt very comfortable with the atmosphere (some of these pop-ups I read about are mostly bars) so that was nice. We were in and out in 30 mins once we were seated and the food was so unimpressive I didn't take pictures. When the check came, I was overcharged on two items, not a big deal but had to point out the menu (from my phone) on what it was supposed to come with, etc. slightly annoying because she said prices online were different and wrong but it was from the menu I'd just taken a picture of. Overall, prices are fine considering what an amazing atmosphere it was but just don't expect food to be excellent. read more

I visited the Marietta Melt Yard specifically for their bread pudding and the pinball. I didn't realize it was a "Taylor Swift engagement party" pop-up and a pinball tournament. Both things I felt worked against my overall experience because I'm not a Swifty, there were a lot of kids, and not all the pinball games were up for play because of the tournament. Despite not getting to play all the pinball we did play 4 machines. Most of the games are tucked into a back room. However there are 2 games sitting out behind the bar - Toy Story and The Flintstones. We picked up the bread pudding to go because we had some other things to do. It was warm, and tasted like peach cobbler. Definitely some of the best bread pudding I have had. I'm going to have to go back and enjoy some there with the ice cream and whipped cream. With bread pudding and pinball I'm sure I'll be back. read more

They are all so much fun and the restaurant does a great job with themed drinks. My complaint for the Swiftie night...GO BIGGER!! Pull the decor downstairs too! You will be packed out! Today was the worst experice I've had at Marietta Meltyard. And I have been coming here for a while with my family. I ordered the Buffalo Buckin and it wasn't not. I asked for it to be remade and they warmed up my sandwich in the microwave instead of making me a fresh one. None of our food was hot except the fries. The service was a little slower than normal not sure if it's because it's more people. The Duncan toy chest and Fullet Wets the bed was good. The restaurant was decorated nice for Christmas but the service today wasn't good at all. read more

My daughter took me here to lunch for our traditional Mother's Day Saturday Date Day. I love the overall atmosphere because it was fun and energetic with an arcade with old school games (think PacMan and Galaga) and played a variety of music. The menu offered quite the variety without being overwhelming and the service was top notch. The coolest retro vibes! Giant screen playing videos from back in the day. Really takes you back. Upon entering, the first thing I noticed was a Ms. Pac-Man machine, and that to me is gaming OG. Then there was a little VW bus with Jaws inspired decor. Now, onto the food. I went specifically for a luscious grilled cheese sandwich, which is one of my favorites, and they did not disappoint. So...this was the one thing i wanted to try and it was just ok. First of all, the rice was a bit underdone for my taste. The bowl came with garbanzo beans, banana peppers, feta cheese, cucumbers, red onion, tomatoes, grilled chicken with balsamic glaze and tzatziki sauce. It's a bit unseasoned. This bowl has the potential to be the best thing on this menu. I'd give it a 5/10. I would sub the chicken for shrimp and add avocado to make this my speed. The server Emma Grace was the best. This was different with the Home Alone Movie settings everywhere. There was about a 20 or 30 minute wait. After that we were taken to the lower level called the backyard. The front area was filled up. We ordered food, I got the steak Philly and my daughter got the nachos. We first ordered sweet tea but it wasn't good so we got sprite and coke l. Those came out ok. The Philly was small but tasted really good. So we're the nachos. Servers were accommodating. We ate and then visited the game room. The games were fun. They were the old school games that operated off of quarters. I played a pinball for 75 cents and my daughter played the Simpson and beat up on some bad guys and monsters. She did better than I did. Food was excellent. I ordered the Hollywood grilled cheese with tomato soup. I swear there was half an inch of gooey deliciousness on the sandwich, I couldn't finish it all. They have Atlanta cider on tap, cool and crisp and sweet. Service is excellent, friendly, and fast. This is a bar, a restaurant, and an arcade. They have 16 pinball machines, a few arcade machines, and a claw machine. They seem to keep all the machines in order as they are all operational. One lady went through cleaning all the fingerprints of the machines not in use about 1 hour after we started playing. read more

Outside of that it was a chill place to eat and relax with family and or friends. The wait after was friendly, doing our afternoon visit. We came here around 12:30pm on a Saturday and were seated pretty quickly. There were a lot of families here so it's very family friendly. They still had the Home Alone Christmas decorations up all throughout the restaurant. If you have hips and thighs like me, the white chairs probably won't be that comfortable so I recommend sitting in the red chairs. I ordered the truck burger with fries and my partner ordered the patty melt with tater tots. The fries tasted old and dry so I sent those back for tater tots because my partners tater tots tasted way better. I think the tater tots were fresh though. They were excellent. The truck burger was like an orgasm in my mouth. Each bite left me wanting more and the cheese and secret sauce was absolutely perfect with the smash patties! I live 40 minutes away from this restaurant and would easily drive to this place often to get this amazing burger. Of course I tried my partners patty melt and it was delicious as well. The cheese was exceptional on there but the truck burger was definitely the star here. The melt yard margarita was pretty good, so I got two! I will return. read more

I've been passing this restaurant for a while and finally got the opportunity to stop in for dinner. It's located in a plaza with plenty of free parking. The staff was very friendly and attentive. I ordered the buffalo chicken dip as an appetizer and it was very tasty. My son had the cheeseburger and I ordered a side Caesar salad with wings and fries. All of our food was really good. We even got a chocolate cake for dessert. It came with ice cream and Marshmallows on top. The decorations were super cute as well. They had a ghostbusters theme going on and a room full of old school pinball machines. There were also TVs that were playing the football game. Honestly, this wasn't the place for me. I tried the pimento cheese balls and fried pickles someone else at my table ordered and they give you a ton of very breaded pickles with a single 1/3 filled little thing of ranch. The pimento balls were overcooked but there was a ton of bacon to go around. The bacon was good, very crispy. The server we had maybe didn't like us or was having a bad day? A couple people at my table had questions because the menu wasn't clear but she either didn't answer them or didn't know the answer so it was strange The little Nero cheese pizza is not pizza like on home alone. It's actually a flatbread made with some kind of thick dough? Basically, not what you'd expect so the person ordering it at our table ended up asking for something else instead which ended up taking so long to prepare we were all done eating. I ordered the Nashville chicken sandwich and idk who thinks that is Nashville style but it was basically a very vinegary bbq sauce dripping off the heavily breaded fried chicken. The tater tots were good though. Mine were crispy and soft inside but another person at the table ended up with entirely burnt ones. I also heard the chicken Caesar wrap wasn't that great either. One of my table mates got the fried Oreos and loved them and mentioned it being a great deal although everyone agrees they should come with some sort of sauce for how much breading there was. They really like breading at this restaurant. Another person got the cotton candy cheesecake and this was the best thing I tried here although texture was softer than id expect on a cheesecake. The flavor was on point, very sweet and tasted just like cotton candy. Christmas theme was cute, very pretty and decor was well done. Finally got to try Melt Yard tonight. It was very good! I love the decor. It is themed like a food truck and it works. The service was efficient and fast. Our server checked on us and we never had to ask for more water - she was already there with refills. The menu is simple but unique. I got a delicious grilled cheese sandwich called the Hollywood. It was a blend of several cheeses on sourdough bread. It was soft and creamy with a little crunch. I could not finish it all (but I wanted to!). I got the sweet potato waffle fries as my side. They come with marshmallow dipping sauce. It really worked. My husband got a burger and loved it. He said the favor combo of the sweet onions and pickles was tasty. Today we visited the Marietta Melt yard for the first time. There were two of us there and our reviews are mixed. The inside is fine. It seems like there's less seating and it feels less Homie than it did previously (as a different restaurant). We started with the magic wings. I thought they were great because they were super crispy and I liked the rub versus a messy sauce. I like wings but not the mess so this was a good fit for me. My boyfriend just thought they were so so. He had a patty melt and thought it was fine. He did not like the sweet potato fries and really did not like the marshmallow fluff sauce that came with them. They were two dollar up charge in a little bit of a disappointment. I had the truck burger and was pleased. I added bacon and extra pickles! Yum!! read more

A great place to host a party. We had my teen daughter's party here and it turned out great. The food is extremely good and a fun place for the kiddos to let loose in the arcade room. I also enjoyed the nostalgia of the memorabilia from MTV, Road Rules, etc. lots of inklings from my teen years of enjoying MTV. Such fun times and memories. Love how this spot is decorated.
