Amazing place!!!! This was our first time going to a Turkish restaurant as a family...and it is…read moresafe to say we are hooked. In fact, before the end of our trip we went back to get some more dips. They were that good. We went here for dinner on a Sunday evening and it was pretty quiet, there were a few people but not a ton. There's indoor and outdoor seating, and it was nice out so we sat outside. That being said, you should at least pop your head inside, the decor is beautiful! For 4 people we ordered the mixed appetizer, lavos, 1 spinach pide, and 1 mozz pide. We also got 2 salgams and they split it into 4 cups for us. This was far too much food for us, all of us overate. Honestly I think we were fine with just the mixed appetizer and the lavos. That being said, know the portions are LARGE. The mozz pide itself needed pepper flakes (which they had so we added) or some sauce or something. It's kinda like cheesy bread, I don't think I'd get it again. The spinach pide however was so good! We got it with the feta cheese and it was so soft and fresh. The mixed appetizer was SO good and I highly recommend it, especially if you're in the bind we were (couldnt decide what dip to get). Theres 5 dips that come in it- Ezme, hummus, tabouli, baba ganoush and cacik. The ezme was my personal favorite- so full of flavor. The garlic really made it pop! The hummus was also really good, definitely one of the best ones I've had! Very creamy and fluffy. The tabouli honestly wasn't super memorable. Not that it was bad- it was good, but compared to the others it just...lacked. The baba ganoush was AMAZING! I've never had one like it before and I liked it so much that I'm attempting to recreate it at home. The baba ganoush is a must try. The cacik was also really good but it's not a thick dip, you could almost just use it as a drizzle. Overall I'd recommend checking out Istanbul grill. The food is phenomenal!

We ordered the beef shawarma platter, lamb kabobs, and baklava cheesecake. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and seasoned perfectly. I don't know why we've been going to other places for shawarma when this business is here! We're already looking forward to coming back!

Celebrated the last kid obtaining their drivers license, sigh, where does the time go!?…read more New restaurant to us, but we wanted Mediterranean near to the DMV. Glad we went. Restaurant was clean, white table cloths, older decor and booths, but cute. Place was full of two large family groups celebrating the holidays together. Bathroom could use a better cleaning and update. We decided to get a small appetizer plate: Humus, Baba Ghanhuj, Falafel, Labneh, we opted for no grape leaves as we don't prefer them and got extra falafel instead. Portion was great. Our favorites were the Labneh absolutely delicious and perfect taste and texture, humus was seasoned perfectly and falafel was good, but I can't say it was amazing though, something was missing in taste to me. We also ordered the mixed meat entree, portion was large, no way I could have eaten it alone! We shared and still had left overs. The entree came with Kufta Kabob, beef shawarma, chicken kabobs, beef shish kabob, tzatziki, fattoush salad, pita, basmati rice. We had wanted a side of extra tzatziki but instead received a large side dish of tzatziki (we let it go, but neither of us truly enjoyed the tzatziki that much. It was bland to our liking). The one thing we absolutely did not like was the bland, no dressing fattoush salad. It literally had no dressing, no taste, not recommended at all, as the side. So here's what we did like a lot was the chicken kabobs, beef shawarma, basmati rice, beef shish kebabs, kufta kabobs, humus, and loved the Labneh on and with everything. The chicken kabobs were our favorite meat, tender, juicy, seasoned perfectly! We truly enjoyed and savored the Pistachio Baklava, so yummy for dessert! Overall we gave the place a 4 out of 5. We enjoyed our food, service was attentive and friendly. We had to downgrade from a 5 because we did not like the no dressing fattoush salad and the tzatziki tasted bland to us (we are used to the more Greek style). We will be back to try some other dishes!

I arrived here around 8:05pm with my 2 sons after a long, hot day at Legoland! It wasn't that busy…read morewhen I arrived. They have a decent sized dining area. There is a sign that the lobby closes at 9pm. I went to the counter to review the menu. I noticed some of the "specials" aren't really specials. Example, large gourmet pizza and 12 wings special is $36.24 but separately, a large gourmet pizza is $18.97 and 12 wings is $13.19 which equals $32.16. Even an XL gourmet pizza ($21.56) plus wings is $34.75, which is cheaper than the "special". I went through a few of the "specials" and the same applies. The "gourmet" pizzas are even cheaper when you simple add on the toppings. I placed my order around 8:15pm. I got a large pizza (pepperoni and sauce), garlic knots, 12 wings (garlic parm) and 3 drinks ($1.60) a piece. They don't have fountain drinks. The total was $40.67. I told them I wanted it for here and was told they would bring it out to us. There is one tv in the dining area that played Nickelodeon. They have a paper towel dispenser on the wall near the kitchen entrance. That area looks like a bar area. That is also where the condiments are located. The Garlic knots came at 8:32pm, the Pizza came at 8:34pm, and the wings came at 8:37pm. All of the food was hot, in temperature. The pizza was great, no complaints! The wings were lackluster in taste. The Parmesan cheese overpowered the garlic versus them being complimentary. Additionally, it seemed like the Parmesan was just added on top versus the wings being tossed in them both. It didn't fit up to my liking for garlic parm wings. The garlic knots were huge and tasty. However, it seemed that the butter and garnish was only on one side versus all sides. Overall, it was a decent experience. The two staff present were friendly. I recommend ordering food from the menu versus using the "specials" if you really want a deal.
