I love the grilled veggie-stuffed burrito here. Always order the same thing bc it's tried and true: regular veggie burrito with whole wheat tortilla, sub whole beans for black beans, add cheese. The veggies they put in are grilled zucchini, broccoli, carrots, onions, and green bell pepper. So far out of half a dozen or so of this burrito it's been totally vegetarian safe (no unwanted carne asada pieces camouflaging themselves amongst the beans). High quality meats really good lengua which is hard to find. The carne asada and carnitas were tender seasoned well and tacos come with beans, ciliantro and onions if you say "everything". There is a salsa bar to add your desired salsa from mild to hot. read more

This place was my introduction to Mexican cuisine back when I was a teen (decades ago). Since then I've branched out a lot, and every now and again out of nostalgia, I find myself trying this place and leave disappointed every time. I think it changed ownership a while back, but their carne asada is the same. It can taste acceptable when it's first served, but anything left over always tastes off (old) or it has a lot of gristle. The last time I went I was excited that they had pastor. I ordered a pastor burrito for home and after the first bite, I was convinced that they put ketchup in my burrito. Turns out they put so much canned pineapple in the dish, the sweetness overpowered everything. I've seen pastor recipes call for some pineapple, but not in the amount that was present in my food. It was sickly sweet and inedible. The people that run it are very warm and welcoming, I hope their food improves somehow, but it seems there are a lot of people that enjoy their food, I'm just not one of them and I wish that I was. read more

On a recent Doordash order, the quality was lacking. Enchiladas were filled with dryed out chicken meat, as was my buritto. No sauce or cheese inside the Enchildas, just the dried out meat. Super burrito was certainly not super....mostly rice and tiny bit of sour cream and guacamole. The chicken, like the enchiladas was dry and overcooked. Worst tacos of my life. It wasn't even a taco, I got the steak tacos and I got home and it was dry meat, pinto beans and salsa. They were so dry I couldn't even choke them down. This location was kept fairly clean with a few exceptions of a couple tables that had food on them have weren't wiped down while we were there. The burrito is good but nothing special. The salsa are also good but not memorable. You are offered "free chips" after you place your order which is nice but the serving size is small. Thankfully the burritos came out fast. Prices are fair and service is cordial. This is the worst Mexican, and maybe the worst meal, we've ever had. Shiso was closed across the way so we ended up here because I was about to have a meltdown if I didn't eat ASAFP. Yet for the price and the size of portions I thought it was pretty good. I had the nachos. Pretty simple. I like the way the cooks mince the tomatoes, they are very finely chopped. Mexican is not my favorite food but was the only food place open in this mall. The fish in the fish taco was mostly batter but the cabbage was fresh and crunchy. I prefer Rubio's fish tacos by a Huge margin. The veggie burrito had steamed zucchini, broccoli and beans and was huge. Too bad it had a regular tortilla even though I asked for the whole-wheat variety. $5.50 for the burrito and about $3 for the taco made this a very average meal for an average price. read more

Found this place by accident. Glad we did! We got their weekend special 5 tacos for $7 and they were delish. In addition, we got a fish taco. Not quite Baja style but pretty good for Sonoma lol. I ordered a pollo tostada after seeing the large tortilla bowls behind the counter. I opened the container to eat it and was surprised to see now crunchy bowl. I saw green lettuce, some shredded white cheese and tons of sour cream. after sting and taking a few bites, I found some green tomato salsa, cold chewy pieces of chicken. Dissappointed, I used a chip to scoop and found a soggy cold corn tortilla underneath which was smeared with black refried beans? so unappetizing and dissatisfying. Been coming here since 2009 and have seen the ownership change hands a few times too. Our most recent visit was last Friday June 1st. Ordered a nachos platter with grilled chicken and seated ourselves outside. Not sure why but the cheese was this semi melted glob to where each chip picked up was dragging a clump of cheese along with whatever else was in that section. The grilled chicken... hmmm, "Where's the Chicken!?" What little bit of grilled chicken that was scattered under the semi-melted cheese was barely noticeable and again, the cheese wasn't given the proper amount of time cheese requires to melt into what is usually a lively, stringy delight. Moot point sending it back since the guacamole and sour cream and salsa were the topping for the final stages of nacho building 101. They didn't leave the part of it with just cheese topping it long enough under the burners to achieve this wonderful thing that makes nachos so much fun.
