I met Gelacio when he knocked on my door and said he noticed the large dying pine tree in the back yard. We actually had two trees to remove -- the other one was completely dead and leaning. I invited him to inspect both the trees and give an estimate. It didn't take long and he provided an estimate to take the trees level with the ground. My wife and I accepted and his crew were at our house two days later to begin removal. They worked fast and took down both an amazingly large tree and a very leaning tree, overhanging power lines, our shed, and two fences, and three neighbor yards, without damaging anything. Their crew hauled everything out to a wood chipper / shredder at the street. I asked if they could also remove the stumps. The owner said yes, they also have a stump grinder and can remove the core roots. That was done quickly as well. Truly impressive. GP Tree Service did a great job removing a large, dead, Monterey Pine tree. This tree had a trunk that was 40 inch diameter measured at 5 feed from the ground. It was probably at least 80 feet tall, with a large canopy. The tree was near the corner of our lot, right near the fence dividing our property from our neighbors, with large branches hanging above the yards of two neighbors. Gelacio brought a team of 7 people to complete the job in one day. They carefully rigged each branch they cut, so that they could lower it in a controlled manner. When they were finished with the removal, they did an excellent job of cleanup, not only in our yard but also in the yards of the two neighbors. Gelacio and his crew are incredible. They gave us a very reasonable price for cutting down a 70' diseased and dangerous eucalyptus tree. Initially, we got "busted" by the city of Saratoga for not having a permit. Gelacio even took our application for the permit to the city for us! After that was sorted out, things moved rapidly. A crew of eight turned up and the tree was down to the stump and chipped in about 7 hours. Then came a kind of robotic stump grinder. Completely taking out a yard-wide stump was done in half an hour! This company did a wonderful job trimming an old mature jacaranda. The arrived in time, were very careful with the new plants, picked up the tree trimmings, and cleaned up after they finished, crew is well organized and effective, all was done in less time that I anticipated. Gelaacio and his team did a fantastic job of removing several old poplar trees from our back yard. These trees must have been 4-5 stories tall as they were planted in the early 1960s. I expected the job to take several days but he and his team completed it in two days. At the end of the day, they actually cleaned up the garage (used to enter and exit the backyard) and driveway before they left even though they returning the next morning. I had four Queen Palms which I personally planted almost 9 years ago. I maintained these with the help of my family. They outgrew the reach of my ladder and pole trimmer. Queen Palms provide a nice aesthetic however they also grow awful seed pods. Some weighing in excess of 50 pounds. It was a tough choice but Gelacio Procopio and his crew especially Peter were not only on time as promised but thorough and efficient in all aspects of removing three of the trees. In a heart beat I would recommend GP Tree not only for their skills but there attention to detail and clean-up! Gelacio and his crew took down an 80 foot, 60+ year old poplar in our backyard. The base was easily 6 feet wide - it was ridiculous. Because of the size of the tree and the precarious location (adjacent to utility wires and fence lines), I was worried about 1) damage to neighboring property and 2) safety of the workers. Gelacio and his crew did an amazing job. Not only did they work fast (2 days) but my neighbors were shocked at how clean they left the property at the end of each day.
