Wow!! We were blown away by this place! After shopping at the mall we opened Yelp and Grab a Gyro was the first place to pop up. So, we drove the 10 minutes, parked in the spacious lot and went in. The owner greeted us and asked if it was our first time. We said yes. He asked us to give him a couple minutes to make us a small sample plate to try all the flavors. Amazing customer service right off the bat. He soon appeared with the sample plate and explained what everything was. We were loving the flavors and knew we wanted to try more. We ordered a chicken schwarma plate with rice, a lamb plate with rice, and a sampler platter (can't remember exact name) that was massive!! The food was hot, fresh, flavorful, and so filling!! The three of us ate so much and still had 3 full Togo containers. It's sad we don't live closer as we be regulars for sure!! read more

Husband and I were running errands in Tualatin and noticed it was time for lunch. I did a search on Yelp and found we were just a few minutes away from this Grab a Gyro location. The online menu was easy to navigate so we called in a pickup order. 15 minutes later we were on our way home with wonderful aromas coming from our orders in the backseat. It's dangerously messy for me to try eating in the car -especially something stuffed in a pita bread- and no quantity of napkins will save my leather seat covers from getting stains. If it hadn't of been raining, we would have done what one of the business signs suggested "Best to grab and eat by Lake of the Commons" just nearby. So we took or orders home. I got the Kafta Kebob Gyro ($14): lean ground beef mixed with a blend of spices and grilled over an open flame. Served in a warm pita with lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, tzatziki and tahini sauce. The char on the kebob was perfect and very flavorful. Definitely an order again. My husband tried the Chicken Shawarma Gyro ($13): sliced chicken breast sauteed in shawarma spices (not spicy). Served in a warm pita with lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, and tzatziki sauce. His only complaint was that it wasn't spicy enough. Portions were generous and filling. I don't think I could have eaten any of the delicious-looking curly fries I could have ordered to go along side. Next time maybe. Inside the restaurant is clean. Parking is easy and plentiful. No steps or stairs to enter and plenty of room inside for anyone with mobility issues. Clean ADA & gender neutral restroom too. Great find in Tualatin. read more

The gyro meat has gluten! When one is highly sensitive to glutens (wheat), and the main item on the menu is loaded with gluten = a nonstarter! I have had gyro meat on a salad with all the other ingredients at other places. read more

When a gyro craving takes hold, this is my go-to place. My standard order is the lamb gyro. Absolutely get the spicy garlic sauce (no added charge). This is the only gyro place I've been where they dress it like a burger with lettuce, tomato, onions, PICKLES, and tzatziki sauce. I find the pickles weird, so have them omitted now when I order. Pleasantly easy parking in a large lot just off SW Boones Ferry Road. There are a number of tables, but the space is just functional, not comfortable. On my first visit, I had a little trouble with the credit card terminal (which ended up displaying in Chinese), and by hitting random buttons added me to their mailing list. Not such a bad thing in the end since I now receive monthly (or so) email coupons for $3 off my order. Getting a large gyro for under $10 seems like a miracle these days. But, as the name on the business says, best to grab it and eat by lake in the Commons nearby. read more

Also a case of cold teas and juices. So I used my cc registered to Square and got 20% back on Cash App ;D Had I known food was so delish and quality meat, I would of sat down longer and made it a looong lunch break. 1 nicely clean bathroom inside the dining room. Excited to try another local Gyro place. It's clean and large inside, service is good. I was excited to see the grape leaf gyro on the menu as this is my favorite vegetarian option at another local gyro joint. However, the dolmas were really disappointing. The hummus and fries were great. My partner got a chicken salad which he said was fair. Everything else was good and this place could have been a 4-5 but the dolmas let them down. read more

Place is very clean. First time to try a Gyro place in the Tualatin area. The restaurant is in a stand alone building surrounded by huge parking areas on both sides. You can't miss it!! The rice was fluffy beef was soft and chicken just a tad bit dry but edible. I bought the combo platter which has a mixture of chicken, lamb and ground beef skewers. I went with Greek salad for both. The hummus is really good and pita bread. The only issue that I found with the beef was that I bit into small pieces of bone. Luckily I didn't bite too hard otherwise it could have damaged tooth. Be careful, chew slowly. I do wish that whoever prepared the grounded meat should to remove every little bone fragments but may be hard to notice once the bone blends in with the fats in the meat. I ordered several lamb gyros last night and they were delicious and chock full of meat! I've eaten from several different Mediterranean restaurants over the years and most do not add as much meat plus they're typically more expensive. I paid around $11 per gyro and most restaurants I've been to charge around $15 or $16. The sauce was very yummy as well and the pita bread was soft and fresh. I was very impressed, especially by the amount of meat, so anyone thinking about purchasing a gyro from them won't be disappointed imo. read more

This place is unbeatable compared to any other fast food places around. This is one of our 'go to places' for lunch. This is the only Grab a Gyro I've been to, so I don't know how the others compare. The manager, Senon (i think that's how its spelled), is super friendly and attentive. Sometimes, he will tell us to just relax and sit down and he'll bring the food over once it's ready. Other fast food service places have been pretty depressing these days. Almost no human interaction since you have to order food thru a kiosk. This place is a nice change and the staff really makes you feel warm and welcomed. read more
