As the name states it is a Greek/Mediterranean place with a good menu of Gyros and other Greek dishes. I love a good Gyro and this place always delivers. I get the lamb Gyro and it is stuffed full of lamb, lettuce, tomato, pickle, and Tzatziki. When I say stuffed, you can easily have two meals out of one Gyro that is like 10 bucks! I always get the Curly fries with the spicy garlic sauce as well. The staff are awesome, friendly and always willing to give recommendations. The lamb was surprisingly tasty. My last visit I went with my go to chicken platter and it was fantastic, it comes with hummus and the turmeric rice is yummy. So I was more adventurous the second go around and tried the lamb, it was probably some of the best lamb I've tried. My boyfriend who doesn't like lamb even though it was good. I had this place cater a party for 40 people and they were amazing. They had everything ready perfectly on time and were able to easily adjust our order when more people than expected began to RSVP. All of the meats were excellently seasoned and the hummus was wonderfully creamy. A welcome new addition to Tualatin's restaurants, Grab A Gyro is finally open in the renovated Ancient Wonders building, on Boones Ferry right by Tualatin-Sherwood Rd. There's free parking too. The last time I was in that building, it was pretty scary. Not so now! They've completely remodeled the interior, and now it's clean and modern, plus they serve great food! Seating for about 30 people, not including the outdoor patio or the 4-seat counter. I ordered the Kafta Kabob plate, which was two skewers of meat on a bed of rice + choice of sauce, and it came with a side - I chose the lentil soup, which I loved. The rice was spiced lightly, maybe cinnamon? Not sure, but it was mild and slightly sweet and tasted good. The meat had good flavor but was a bit dry, especially the 2nd piece as it took me a little time to get to it and it had cooled down by then. The amount of food for the price is good. Husband had the half-and-half gyro (half lamb gryo meat, half chicken shwarma) which came with curly fries and spicy garlic sauce. This was a messy one, but tasty. I really liked the gyro meat flavor, more so than my own meal. I'm happy to have a middle-eastern option in town, and they are quite good! read more

My friend and I came here for lunch today. It was very busy when we arrived and people continued to come in while we were eating. So obviously this is a popular place to eat in this area. The lady at the counter was friendly and quick taking our order. Even though the place was packed with customers, our food arrived at our table in less than ten minutes. This is one of those places where you order at the counter and then you receive a number so your food can find you. After eating you bus your table. There is a huge tip carafe on the counter. Tipping is of course optional when service is minimal. I always leave something but not 15%. My friend had the falafel platter with curly fries. I had their vegetarian mezza platter. We both agreed the food was good but far from the best Mediterranean food around ( I'm thinking of you, Oasis in Hillsboro). The dining area is fairly nondescript with minimal decor. It has a fast food type of ambiance. But there is plenty of seating inside and outside too, weather permitting. If you're in the area and want Mediterranean food, I would say that Grab A Gyro is a good option. read more

In 5 years living in the PNW, I have been consistently disappointed with the "gyros" here. Even with that experience, this was disappointing. The meat was the most flavorless I have had on a gyro. The onion and tomato were under the meat, something I have never seen. Ref onion rather than white, and not enough of it. While there are no good gyros in Portland Metro (in my experience so far) I would say all are better than this one. I am sorry to write such a poor review, I know this is someone's business.
