I was meeting a friend who is coming over for Portland and this was a super convenient halfway point. I've driven past it hundreds of times and was happy to give it a try. I love Mediterranean food in general and was looking forward to seeing what this restaurant had offer. On entry the first thing that I noticed is that the room, Reedley, really wanted to be a nightclub! The whole vibe with the floor and the way the lighting looks... And then I looked over and saw a giant DJ production rack behind the bar and additional club lights... Yeah. It's a restaurant by day, and I'm sure that people dance there. Added to the vibe! I just wanna take a moment to acknowledge that the menu is amazingly comprehensive. This is not some random gyro place. There are things here that I frankly never seen anywhere in the Portland Metro area. Can't wait to go back many times and sample all of it. My companion got the gyro platter and I got the lamb lula kabab. They were both accompanied by a couple of sauces/chutney's. that were delicious addition. We closed out the meal sharing a slice of their cake, which was incredibly delicious as well. The meal was excellent, but the prospects of all the things that I didn't eat, haunt me. This place was fantastic. Kara our waitress was so kind, fun and just pleasant and happy person (we would go back just for her service). The food was great!!! Rice was some of the best we have had. The meats were spiced perfectly. The side salad was really nice take of a Greek salad, a tad bit over dressed but still a ticket to flavor town. The lamb chops had great flavor though I wish they would have been cooked medium rare and then they would have been sensational. The chicken was cooked perfectly, moist and tender. The lamb was the winner of the show for sure. We be back for sure. read more

First of all? The menu! There were so many options that it made my head spin, but I decided to go with the classic gyro to give it a go because I had never been here before. I met my friend for lunch and we were not disappointed! The portions were beyond generous, and the tzatziki was the perfect texture. From the salad to the cake, it was all great. I can't wait to tell other friends about it and take them here. (Edited to add that I drove here from Wood Village, where I'm visiting a friend and would gladly do so again.) I've been searching for Mediterranean restaurants since my doc told me it would be a good thing to do. We didn't mind the suggestion at all since hubby and I both enjoy the food, anyway! So of course, I've been on Yelp quite a bit lately & found Kabob City Grill very close to where we were going to be today. This one goes on our "Must come back a LOT" list! Our server, Rene was very welcoming, efficient & helpful when it came to answering our various questions. Hubby ordered the Kabob Combo & I ordered the Grilled Salmon & Shrimp. OMGOSH, the flavors were amazing! First time in my life I didn't even THINK to ask for tartar sauce for my fish! Seriously, it would've ruined it, it was that good! Both platters -oops: PLATES- were huge! The decor, lighting & atmosphere was perfect! The lower lighting was such a great idea for a restaurant of this caliber! We also enjoyed the special treat of live music as Talas took to the stage, adding to the whole experience. We're already planning to stop again on our next trip to Vancouver! The only con was on me! This Mediterranean restaurant is hidden behind the Korean BBQ place off Mill Plain Blvd. It's so well hidden, in fact , that I've never noticed it before. It took my husband seeing a feature on TikTok to get us there! Seeing how they have kabob in their name, we had to get their kabobs. We both got "Lula" style, with my husband adding the lamb chops to his chicken & beef kabobs. I just had the latter. The meat is well seasoned and comes on a bed of rice, alongside a large salad made of lettuce, tomato, cucumber, onion and a delicious vinaigrette dressing. Each plate arrives wearing a big pita on top of it all! It's a lot of food! They have a big screen playing a loop of their chefs cooking all their dishes. It made me want to come back and try some other things next time! We definitely want to come back! It's pretty inside too and on Friday and Saturdays after 6pm they have live music. Coming from the airport this was the only thing that seemed yummy and fast to me. Definitely deceiving from the outside, I thought it was gonna be just a normal kabob grill, I feel like they need to change the name to something nicer lol. Coming from Los Angeles I'm no stranger to Persian/ Armenian/leb/afghan restaurants so it didn't surprise me when the music was loud and fun! Walked in and was greeted by a girl that seemed like she was bothered by our presence and sat us (we didn't wait long) Never came back, no one ever came, I finally got up and asked a guy at the bar if we could order. I've recently moved here from Los Angeles and have visited a few times here. the food is good, but they are very stingy about providing extra condiments when requested. I usually like to order my plates with sumac and butter or even salad dressing. at times they provide butter and other times they say "we don't have butter" with an eye roll or say the generic "we don't have it today." It's one of those places when you ask for extra dipping sauce at a fast food joint and they hit you with "that'll be 75cents extra" ... Just inconsistent with a tad bit of attitude that needs to be reassessed with their management team. Will still keep returning, however, please do not expect any tips on my end. Great new Mediterranean place on Mill Plain. Was running errands with my wife when I noticed the sign and we decided to stop in and check it out. The building was completely remodeled with a fresh, clean, elegant atmosphere and amazing food. Lin greated us at the door with a smile and made sure we were well taken care of. (Thanks Lin!) Visited for the first time with my family for a birthday meal. A bright, beautiful, stylish interior. We were in for an early dinner, so seating & service was quick. We ordered a variety of beef, chicken & lamb Lula & kabobs; grandson tried the grilled sturgeon. All was good; the rice very flavorful. White onion slivers were sprinkled over our meals & they were very light in flavor, so of good accompaniment as were the grilled jalapeno & tomato. The only drawback being that sauces were not included with our meals nor offered & we contemplated if we should've ordered some appetizers to help fill the void. read more

Came by for dinner not realizing it's "reservations only on Fridays and Saturdays", is what I was told by the young gentleman at the counter/register. It was a packed house and live music. Customer service was good. A bit of a wait for our food because of how busy they were, so that was understandable. My husband ordered the beef & lamb gyro and I had the beef kabob plate. I was very underwhelmed by the food. The rice was bland, the kabobs were okay but a little dry and overcooked. Salad was also very plain. The gyro didn't have much flavor either. Great ambiance and nice staff, but most likely will not return, as we've had better elsewhere. Spendy for food that lacks flavor. read more

I went back to this place after one year, I still liked the food a lot. This was the Wednesday night before Thanksgiving, this time I sat in instead of taking it to go so mostly this is about the building. It's a bright, big open room with lots of tables that can be drawn together for big parties. There were two different groups of at least 12 people there the night I visited. I tried to get a photo without people in it (respecting privacy) but couldn't so I blocked out the people in this one I did take. I would come back again next year if I am back again. We had four different kinds of grilled kabob meats, all were great. The rice is nice and the salad was refreshing. We did not try the appetizers but I saw them go by to other folks and they sure looked like they enjoyed them! Went for an enjoyable lunch with some friends at Kabob City Grill. It's a bright restaurant with lots of tables. I ordered the Beef Lula and Beef Kabob combo. Nestled among otherwise plain strip-mall shops is Kabob City Grill...literally a hidden gem. The interior is beautiful; spacious and modern. But the cuisine is what we came for and we were not disappointed. I ordered the lamb kabob plate ($23.) and hub had the chicken and beef lula kabob plate ($18.) and we asked for a small dish of yogurt sauce ($2) - which I think should be included in the meal, but this is a minor quibble. Both dishes were served on a bed of buttery rice (pilaf) and with a vinegar and oil salad on the side. Atop the dish rested a steaming hot flat bread. What a nice presentation. The lamb kabob tasted like tenderloin and was perfectly cooked (kinda wish there was a smaller portions lunch menu for lighter appetites). Hub enjoyed his lula kabobs that are formed using lightly seasoned ground meats. Beyond the great meal, I appreciated the ambiance...the soft music, linen table cloths, and the modern design of the interior. Our friendly server was the lovely Ivana.
