I recently…read moreneeded some work on it and called them but they indicated they no longer do work in Vancouver, but when I asked if there was anyone they would recommend, they said Simple Lawns. I had a problem with two leaks in the irrigation system. You could see water getting into the valve boxes when you turned on two of my zones. My suspicion was that the water pipes coming out from the valve to the irrigation tubing had broken when I had a contractor install a pumped sewer system last fall. The trench for the sewer pipe went across the water outlet pipes from the valve boxes. I called Simple Lawns to see if they could come work in fixing the leaks. They were able to schedule a visit by their irrigation expert within a few days. I paid a deposit which was for the service call to diagnose the problem and assess how much it would cost to fix. The employee came and looked it over and was able to fix it right away. He had it fixed within an hour or two. I was surprised it was possible to fix it so quickly, and he indicated the cost would probably be just the service call fee or a little more. The one slightly odd thing was I didn't get a email from the company to indicate the job was completed and that there were no additional charges. But the repairs were successful and they didn't send any additional bill, so I figured that was the situation. I was dreading trying to get those leaks fixed and I was amazed how quickly they fixed them and that it cost way less than I expected it would.

When I called for a quote, I was told, "yes, we can help you with that". I was told Michael, an estimator will be in contact within a week. No visit to the property, however, pictures were requested.????? He asked if we wanted regular lawn maintenance, which we declined. His response is that they can't do the leveling. Still no quote on the leveling and since we declined regular maintenance, they can't help us. Very misleading and a waste of everyone's time.

(A fence exactly like our neighbor's) Because of the beauty he created, we continued having him level our whole yard which was simply mud and very uneven. He moved an old shed to a more desirable place (this was an amazing feat) and as a favor and without cost to us, he put in an artificial turf area for our dogs. Damian and his crew are absolutely amazing. They are truly service-oriented from the moment you reach out to them, and it starts with Dan. He's friendly, responsive and provides detailed estimates immediately for whatever work is needed. We have a 5-zone sprinkler system with a combination of drip lines and sprinklers in the front and backyard. It's a funky arrangement that needed a serious upgrade. His crew (Marvin and Jose) are miracle workers! They are real problem solvers who managed to reroute some existing sprinkler lines, fix several hidden leaks and provide more water coverage in several zones. Marvin and Jose are a joy to watch. They really enjoy their work and it shows. Marvin will even sing while he's putting in new drip lines or tying off others, and nothing seems to faze him. Both men are polite, courteous and appreciative of drinks and snacks while they work. They say "Thank you, so much" every time. After spending the entire day at our home, we tested the system and everything worked well, but there were a few dry spots I noticed the next day. Dan came by today to collect payment and I showed him the areas where water wasn't quite reaching and he said, "No problem." Marvin and Jose will come back to make a few adjustments -- at no extra charge. Best of all, the new parts they install are guaranteed for 5 years instead of one. Who does that? All in all, this was a terrific experience and I wish I had hired this company 13 years ago when we landscaped our yard. I'm so impressed with them and you will be, too.
