Chris & Meredith, the new owners had big ideas. They excitedly mentioned some of the changes that they'd planned, including the new seating arrangements. Could that possibly work for our often crowded daily morning group? We weren't sure. But Chris has been accommodating and solicitous, and assured us that he'd make it work for us ~~ And he has. In addition, new yummy food offerings are now available; bagels & lox, avocado toast, yogurt parfaits, and overnight oats. (My husband's favorite) As before, the barristas are friendly, competent, and cheerful. The only change that disappoints me (and this is minor), is the placement of the baked goods. I used to derive great pleasure in watching the young children walk up to the pastry window at their eye level, as they would choose their favorite treat. Yes, change is hard, but the new owners have succeeded in continuing to make Acton Coffee the welcoming place we want to be every morning we're in town.

The person they had on deck this morning was frantically trying to take orders and move food from the kitchen to the online pick up area. Three people making drinks and still backed up making what should have been a relaxing morning tense and unpleasant. I want to be clear that every person I saw was doing their best to make things work and this is a systems issue.
