They sent Travis out promptly, who is their electrician where he found that the issue was resolved by replacing a faulty 40-amp breaker that was intermittently providing the necessary voltage, even though measurements initially appear correct. While the breaker issue caused real inconvenience and unexpected costs on my end, the owner was responsive and showed willingness to smooth things over to work toward a resolution. I also want to highlight that the panel upgrade and solar/battery installation itself was clean and well done. The workmanship that Eddie, Manny, Christian and Jamie performed had overall met my expectations, and once the issue was identified, Sunline did step in to correct it. No project is perfect, but how a company responds when problems arise matters a lot. In this case, Sunline's owner and Eric was engaged, responsive, and made a sincere effort to make things right. As an engineer, and after witnessing the symptoms and corrective actions firsthand, I believe the breaker issue was likely a manufacturing defect, and it was unfortunate that it occurred during the holidays. He accessed and gave me a quote using his service department (two man team, paid hourly). He figured it would save me money (versus a flat charge) since the work wasn't too big. Technicians came out the following week. Edmundo explained his work and did his magic so future water would divert more towards the gutters than the side of our house. Techs were both super nice and hard working. They finished the repair in a few hours. I received the invoice a few weeks later, and notice a small discrepancy. Joe verified the work with his technicians and fix the invoice. Excellent customer service! Communication, work and customer service is great. Love working with companies like this.
