been the same for years.... and I love it.

oh childhood memories of this place..... the "volcano" hole, trying to win a free game at the end, our family's Home Alone moment after leaving my brother here when he was 5: "Umm... where's Trey??........we left him there?! shit." true, it's beat down to all hell.... but you're in graeagle. i dare you to find something else to do. last time we were there my dad won the last hole, so you can bet your ass i will be there to collect my free game next time I'm up there! don't ever change guys... well maybe clean... a little bit.... you guys can clean.

Magic Carpet Golf - One of my favorite decorations from the "28 hole" course. Cowboy worm!

We absolutely LOVE Magic Carpet Golf -- it's hands down one of our favorite spots in Reno!…read moreSo many mini golf places are out in the direct sun with little to no shade, but this place is completely different. The courses are beautifully set under mature trees, with water features throughout that make it feel cool, relaxing, and honestly kind of magical. What really sets it apart is how well it's organized. There are three different courses, and the staff will gladly tell you which one is less crowded at the moment -- such a simple thing, but it makes a big difference when you just want to enjoy the game without waiting around. The atmosphere is the perfect mix of peaceful and playful. It's great for families, date nights, or just a fun, low-key outing. On top of that, the pricing is very reasonable (about $13 per person), especially for how much you get out of the experience. And you can feel the history here -- it's a family-owned business that has been part of the Reno community for decades, and it shows in how well it's maintained and how welcoming it feels. Highly recommend -- we'll definitely keep coming back!

Prices are lower than most other courses in the area, and the holes are significantly more challenging. There are 3 courses available- two 18-hole courses and one supersized 28-hole course. We opted for the back 18-hole course and had a lot of laughs. I highly recommend taking another look at this place. You can tell that they are consistently maintaining the courses and keeping the fun alive. I give it 4 stars as the snack shop was closed since there was only one person on staff when we were there.

We arrived a little before 12 pm and were greeted by an employee. For the golf course selection, there are 3 options to choose from (but one course was currently closed). We ended up choosing to do the castle course, which has 28 holes. I had cash in my purse so we paid for a smaller discount of $20 per person. If you pay credit card, it would have been $20.60 per person (I am assuming for the credit card fee?). We were given our clubs and 2 colored golf balls. And the employee who checked us in had told us that there is a hole where the mill is not working. The motor to power it is not working but that we can slowly pushing it towards where she is and it should work. The castle themed course is very cute and we really enjoyed seeing each hole, which some of them were really challenging. Some of the holes were also really well constructed and decorated, including the one with a ship and a giant goldfish. We golfed here for about an hour. And I am happy to say that I ended up with the smaller amount of strokes (just by a margin though). Although this course has 28 holes, you only golf with 27 holes. And then for the last one, you come back inside where you paid for your admission and put it in one of two machines. I placed my golf ball into what looks like a plinko style game (which reminds me of The Price Is Right show). But I don't know if I was supposed to try to win something or not or just to watch it make it's way down to one of three holes. And then my husband placed his ball in the other machine that looks like a slot machine. Overall, we had a great time and am glad we were able to make it out here.

XP Arcade - Prizes

Being totally honest this arcade itself is pretty average, but I am bumping the stars up because of…read morethe customer service experience we had while hosting a small birthday party here. As far as the games go, they're all working but the place just feels tired a bit old and rundown. They don't offer a system where they're unlimited play cards include ticket games, but do not reward tickets so the selection of games available to the kids at the party was fairly limited as a result which bothered me, but of course didn't bother the kids who were just happy to continue swiping and playing. That said they do offer some games here that are not typically included in other arcades in town like the Minecraft game which spits out super cool cards and certainly captivated the kids for quite some time. The party room was large but parsley appointed in terms of decorations and really didn't offer much in terms of seeming or decor. There's truly a DIY situation and thankfully, we came with a couple of decorations to put up to make it feel more festive. One of the pizzas included in the party arrived squished in one corner and the supervisor was quick with the solution. Unfortunately, they couldn't remake the pizza which I'm not really sure why, but instead he offered additional cards that the kids could use to play the Midway games downstairs, which ended up being a huge hit. The birthday party deal is a great value to be honest. Works out to around 25 bucks a kid minimum of 10 and it includes pizza and unlimited soda plus a two hour arcade card and $15 to use on the midway or the games with redemption prizes. We ended up adding a $100 card to our party so that we could have the kids play some additional Midway games and that really did extend the fun quite a bit. Midway games are about to six dollars per play, so it does actually go a little ways. If you're staying at Circus Circus, the XP arcade is a fun stop over but if you're from the area, I personally wouldn't say this is the one to come to. That said if you wanna play the midway, you really can't do that anywhere else and it is super fun, especially rewarding when you win a prize. We'll certainly recommend this birthday party option to friends.

The offer card specials and we opted for the $60 one to give us an additional $15 as a bonus. The game area was clean and well lit up. They have video games on the top floor and some more ticket games on the bottom floor. I feel like we lost some credits on the machines because we would swipe and it wouldn't work, but I noticed that my money was going down. There wasn't an attendant to help. We spent like an hour there using up the card. The kids racked up about 1,000 tickets on their card. They use a self serve prize machine to redeem your tickets, which is pretty cool. Overall, we had a great time.

Nope. It was a…read morecrowded day, I totally get that. We were there about 2 hours and when we arrived there were no skate trainer assists available to rent. I put my name on a wait list. 20 min later, I noticed many people had returned their skate assists. There were probably 6 of them behind the desk. I probably asked 5x or more if it was our turn on the wait list, every time I was told no. At one point the girl said "you're welcome to walk around out there with your own child" I have a hurt shoulder and a prosthetic hip, otherwise I would've :( Long story short, my son sat on the bench next to the skate rentals, waiting for his turn on the wait list, fighting back tears. In the 45+ min we waited, no one from the wait list ahead of us collected a single skate trainer. And we were repeatedly told we couldn't use one. I definitely understand waiting our turn, but when no one ahead is coming to collect them..... The guy at the skate rental place when we first arrived was super nice tho! But the girls I wasn't impressed with.
