The repair work was done timely and correctly, but the initial $342 estimate ballooned to $548, and I had no prior warning, either at drop-off this morning or via phone when I spoke with shop personnel twice after getting an estimate and before today. their explanation - weird part, quoted wrong price, blame Ford for using a prior-year part - didn't satisfy. They admitted that they should've called but all I could get from them for my displeasure at the surprise 50%+ increase was $50 off. The shop did not disclose that damage had been done to the muffler because the insurance would pay for the muffler but not the pipe. But they didn't offer the option to pay for the pipe myself until I drove the "all fixed" car for three days and realized something was wrong with the muffler. Everything went downhill from there, with a whole day wasted when they were supposed to fix the muffler but didn't get the parts to do it. The staff was surly and would not use my correct name. Explained situation to intake person Kory, and worked on differential fluid change. Problem persisted and we had to order new transmission ($4000) and considered $1500 labor. Luckily problem has seemed to resolve with fluid change, they refunded my $ for transmission, only charged for fluid change. They were VERY good with communication, not up-selling, straight shooters. While they may charge a tad more than others, it is worth their quality and honesty any day!
