To be fair here, I had been telling my family I "did NOT" want to come to this establishment the…read morewhole time I was in Sumter for this trip. I've been here multiple times and did not like it. This trip was no different. We had a large group of 16 and it started there. Was told a 2hr wait. If we split in to groups of 8 we'd be seated in 45. Took this option. Actually got seated in about 25 minutes seperately. (A table of 8 that was right next to us was vacant and NEVER got used for the entire 90 minutes or so that we stayed at the restaurant so why not accommodate our group? - strike one) Our waitress I'm told was very chippy with an attitude toward some party members. (I didnt get any attitude toward me) but heard a few people stating how she was answering people's requests and how unpleasant she was. - Strike two. The food. I ordered the meatloaf nachos (which were good). I also ordered the fried pork chops w/ side salad. Loading up on fake bacon bits (like 1000 pieces) doesnt make the salad better. This is a hint to their kitchen. The pork chops were dry and the "red skinned" mash potatoes" (which I do not remember the menu stating that they were red skinned potatoes which would mean SKIN would be present in the mash. Otherwise I would not have ordered this. ALSO, their baked beans.......this was the worst part of the meal. I am expecting some version of beans with a bbq base or similar...instead I got some sort of bean SOUP which was totally inedible in my opinion. Whole meal was trash. Strike three. My 83 year old father said at the end of the meal "worst meal I've ever had". Which I had him repeat to the table just in case anyone thought it was just me. $700 with tip for the quality is a bit much. I will never ever return no matter what my siblings say.

If you're looking for a big space, lots of room, and an outlandish buffet bar... don't come here…read more :-) Rice'n Wings is definitely more of a 'Hole in the Wall' type location, but the food is good. Limited buffet options, but I feel like just enough to have a pretty decent lunch (which is when I went by there). Their chicken teriyaki on a stick was good. Not to dried out or "chewy", nice flavor, a little juicy. Near perfect for a buffet item. Their house made fried rice was good, what I would have expected, and I kept wanting more. I did try the HAM fried rice, but wasn't impressed, it tasted to American to be Chinese I guess. The wings were really good, I can definitely see why they made the store title. Great seasoning, just small enough to not overwhelm you, but just big enough to be filling with just a few. I really liked them, and kept going back for more. The rest was more typical, I guess, but still good. Not to many items that I would refuse to go back and have again, though I may not pile them on the plate. Overall I enjoyed it, and would revist for another good lunch, especially for the wings. If you happen to work at Shaw Air Base, then bonus points because it's less than 5 mins from the 2 gates, so quick tasty lunch trip!

I don't like Chinese food, just because it's their for folks who like Americanized Chinese food, but sometimes I'll get the wontons. I definitely like that they have plenty of strawberries! Some of them are hit or miss, but at least they have fresh fruit. People really seem to enjoy the donuts too.
