This is a sweet spot to sit outside on the rooftop terrace, people watching and generally taking a break from walking around the island.. The highlight of my experience however, was a sumptuous, thin-crust and perfectly made gluten-free pizza, which I so hard to find. To make matters better, their chicken tenders are also gluten-free and absolutely delicious Definitely a pleasant surprise

Staff were super friendly and the rooftop patio was great! Pizza and caesar salad were both good. No frills kinda place and a great stop for us!

This is a cute place to stop on the islands for a traditional burger joint. My kids ate chicken tenders, and hamburgers. My husband had a burger and I had a veggie burger. Everything was good, not great, but expected from a order at the counter burger joint. Service was nice and friendly. We even stopped back later in the day for ice cream and a fruit cup. They were nice and let us fill our refillable water bottles. All of the employees wore masks and tried to be as safe as possible. No complaints except, when my daughter ordered a smoothie... it was only filled 3/4 of the way and there was a bubble lid which would make one think it should've /could've been filled beyond the rim of the cup. And the smoothie is more like an icee not sure there's any fruit in there. ...But when we returned for ice cream, the scoops were large and the ice cream tasty.

This hit the spot after a long day riding bikes around Madeline Island! We had pizza, BLT, and the garden salad. We were all satisfied with our food. The deck had a lot of tables that weren't bussed. Luckily there were only 3 of us so we moved the old dishes to the empty spot at the table. They also serve icecream but the line was long so we didn't get a chance to grab some as we needed to get back to our ferry! This hit

The BBQ Chicken Pizza was the best I have had! The sauce mixed with corn and onions on top was an excellent combination. Cheesy Garlic Breadsticks we're just average but still good. Pretty homey atmosphere with a great view next to the lake! Staff was very nice!

Grandpa Tony's is a bright and cheery spot serving pizza, sandwiches, wraps and ice cream. Order and pay at the counter, grab a drink then head upstairs to the great patio overlooking the lake. They have a bunch of tables with big red umbrellas. You will get an oversized playing card for your "number" and they will bring the food up and yell out "queen of hearts!" (Soooo tempted to yell back "go fish!). When we were there for lunch, service was a tad leisurely but that was ok since it was such a beautiful day in the sun. Our group of 4 tried the BBQ chicken pizza, chicken Cesar wrap and a cheese, sausage green pepper pizza. Food was just ok -pizza was pretty average-but hey, there aren't too many options on the island so it might still be one of your best options, especially if you've got kids.

I'd really like to rate this place 3.5 stars. There are not a lot of options in La Point, and this seemed like the best of them tbh. It's counter service, but they bring your food to your table. The menu isn't large, but my husband and I both liked the BLTs we ordered. My parents ate breakfast here too, and my mom was impressed with her breakfast sandwich. My dad had one of the burgers which was almost $15, but mom said it was very large. I was most impressed with the array of ice cream options; I chose Pirates Booty and Caramel Collision. I think I preferred the latter. Maybe go here just for the ice cream if you need to!

Ice cream was half melted and very small portions for the price. Servers were good but need more cashiers.

Too expensive. Not a restaurant but a fast food eatery. Go across the street to the Beach Club

Who makes the ice cream? Does it have high fructose corn syrup in it?

I BELIEVE it was Cedar Crest ice cream… not sure about the corn syrup though!

I was expecting Lorelei to walk into reception area at any moment with a cup of coffee. Foods are excellent We had 5 course tasting menu that way we can taste most of the foods. Fortunately This is a very fine dining with moderate portion not giant. The highlights are definitely: Caesar salad - made old fashioned way you can taste the anchovy Mushroom soup - almost like French onion soup but mushroom and without overwhelming cheese on top. It's so nice and light. Perfect start to a meal seafood ravioli served with salmon - ravioli is definitely the star . The salmon is just some back up dancer. That Ravioli is magic. Umami bomb definitely taste the ocean (in a good way) and the butter and all the good things in life. For desert - the berry cobbler is special of the day and it is just phenomenal. All great texture are there. Chewy crust. Explosive berry flavors à la mode. After dinner. You can hang out at the porch there's swing. Nice chairs overlook the lake. Next time we should probl stay here

I came here for a fish fry just after Memorial Day and the outdoor seating weather was perfect for my pup. The patio overlooks Lake Superior, with a few buildings across the street blocking a bit of the view. It's a nice downtown spot so there are plenty of people out and about walking by the patio. I typically prefer a traditional Old Fashioned, but when in super northern Wisconsin, do as they do. I got a Wisconsin Old Fashioned and it was great. I even ordered a second one! The veggie dumpling soup was beyond my expectations -- I would have just eaten a bunch of bowls of that all night if I hadn't been set on fish fry. I got the Lake Superior Whitefish fry (Lake Superior was right across the street, how could I not?), which was just ok. The sides were great - french fries and green beans are a Wisconsin match made in heaven. The fish was alright, a bit fishier than I'm used to but that just might be a Lake Superior whitefish thing? Still, I found about 6 bones in the fish fry and I've never had that issue at a restaurant fish fry before. I usually give a few bites to my dog but was nervous on this one. So, overall a great experience and a fun place to stop by. I'd recommend checking them out.

I wish I remembered the name of our server because she was so attentive while practically running the front of house by herself, I wish I could give her a specific shout out. The restaurant itself is a classic small town tavern with the dark wood bar, comfy booths, and a gorgeous painted tin ceiling. The food was also pretty good - the cheese curds are a MUST get. The rest of the food was slightly too salty and the fish was just a tad dry but the tartar sauce and coleslaw were both to die for and the fries were fantastic. Overall we enjoyed our time here and would definitely go back.
