Brought my wife's car here for a check engine light. Grand Auto repair was able to diagnose a lot of other issues. First we were a bit skeptical, but the owner was very friendly. He picked me up from my house and dropped me off and got us a loaner car the next day or same day. Once he knew he needed to keep the car overnight. He was very communicative throughout the process. Sending me texts of the diagnosis and costs. He knew our financial struggles and hesitation to get all this work done and even did some things at cost. At the end of the day, he showed us all of the parts he replaced. I don't know another mechanic that would do that. Typically you have to just trust the mechanic at their word on what they did. Be careful doing business with this shop. At first, they appeared honest and transparent--right up until the end. The final bill was a huge surprise, coming in about 50% higher than the amount originally agreed upon. The added costs were never clearly communicated, and they performed work on items I did not approve. They also used off-market parts but claimed that they used OEM genuine parts. When questioned, their explanation was that the parts were "the same quality," which is not acceptable when you're being billed OEM prices. The workmanship was sloppy. A hose was installed incorrectly, and a bolt was left untightened. There was also a hose that required lubricant to reinstall properly; instead of handling it correctly, they chose to replace the part and added another $1,000 to the bill. On top of all this, they insist on an additional 3% credit card fee. I would not recommend this shop. This place abuses customer trust. Beware. read more

Sharing our experience in hopes that no one else goes through the same horrible experience. Previous mechanics are gone, the only mechanic working on cars is a man named John. He is running a dishonest business. If you value your time and hard earned money my advice is look elsewhere (by the way he does not wear a covid mask so be aware if you are a senior citizen or have underlying health issues. *. It took an entire day to get a diagnostic on our vehicle dropped off at around 10 am didn't get a diagnostic until about 6pm. He had our car for almost 1 week. * Conducts himself in an unprofessional manner but he charges for professional services. His honesty, and quality of work is very poor. *Charged us for 2 new fuel oxygen sensors and per our 2nd mechanic we had to hire he found only 1 new sensor. He charged us $ 130.00 each. Plus the labor * Returned our vehicle and said it was ready for pick up, but when we drove it back home and parked it leaked again!! (see pictures) *Had to go back so he can rectify the problem, at the end of the day he called and said it's ready for pick up and again when we got home the car made a strange gurgle sound, (he neglected to bleed the water coolant causing that terrible sound. Furthermore the hose that he installed was not pushed all the way inside and had no clamp per our new mechanic the hose was left loose / no clamp/ and had a leak (see pictures) *Had to hire a 2nd mechanic to fix his poor work!! * He agreed to refund us on deposit we left for a airbag issue we planned on him working on but changed our minds after the above experiences, the refund did not happen on the day he agreed he did not bother to reschedule appointment, he decided to take the day off and not notify us. *We ended up spending over $1000.00 in parts, poor and dishonest labor. Because of bad and slow work we spent an extra $300.00 in a car rental wasted precious time and hard earned money. Very stressful , frustrating and naturally upsetting!!! This guy messed up my truck completely tried to give it back to me without even starting missing lug nuts on every single tire and trying to charge me $2,200 for work that I ended up having to get -done because it wasn't even done properly I had a bushing for my linkage of the gear shifter going on to the transmission I wanted a pan drop of the transmission and transmission fluid change to be done. I have been bringing my cars here for a few years now. Just smog and oil changes. Then my daughter bought a car with a blown engine so we had John install a new one. First of all, he helped us shop and get the best price, then he put everything in and the car ran great for months. Then a few days ago, a hose blew out and we thought it was the water pump since that was the only thing we didn't replace with the engine when it first got done. Turns out it was just a hose. I may be cynical but I have had a lot of bad experiences with mechanics in my time. But John didn't take advantage of the situation. It was a hose and that's what he replaced. I don't know about you but in my book THIS GUY IS GOLDEN! I will refer everyone I know to him. He's not the cheapest. His prices are reasonable. But I would much rather have honest than cheap!
