To my surprise, there was still an available time slot so I quickly booked it and waited with anticipation for our time to arrive. We checked in at the front office where we were greeted politely and were given instructions on how to get to, enter and use our sauna pod. The Pods are located right across the street from the Chalets so I was worried at first about having adequate privacy but once we entered the Pod I felt I was transported to the middle of the woods. My favorite part of the Pod was that it was Bluetooth equipped so I was able to play some folk music over the speakers to enhance my woodsy experience. Towels and bottled water are also provided for you in the Pod. We booked an hour, which I thought might be too long in the heat for me personally but after taking the recommended breaks, it didn't feel long enough. We emerged from our Pod soaking in sweat but refreshed and with every endorphin in our bodies firing. It was a fabulous experience!

I booked online and the process was really easy. I got reminder emails, a welcome message when it was time to check-in and everything was contactless when I arrived. While I spent a good amount of time outside of my cabin (Laurelwood), I also spent a good amount of time there. It snowed a lot so I soaked up the giant window views, enjoyed the hot tub, and lots of relaxing. My only big complaint was that of the cabin itself. I couldn't figure out what it was but the entire building was just loud. Like so loud, I couldn't sleep. Had I known, I would have brought ear plugs and trust me, I have them thanks to living in the city. Despite not being able to sleep my two nights there, and constant loud ass humming all throughout, the rest of the experience was solid. The space was comfy, included all the necessities, and they even plowed the driveway after the snow. I love coming here and the Chalets are a great choice. I just might ask about the sound issues on my next visit.

This is an amazing property near all the best hiking and tourist spots in the area. The decor is typical lodge but everything is spotless and like new. There are 2 large bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths and a large living/dining area with a fully stocked kitchen. There is a hot tub on the deck which was great for relaxing in the evenings. Also a fire pit and gas grill although you need to choose add on propane tank rental if you want to use the grill. Firewood is also an optional add on. The lodge is surrounded by woods with excellent bird watching. It is also dark enough in the evening for some star gazing. We highly recommend this spot for a family getaway (sleeps 4) - or check out the other great lodging options hosted by the Inn.

I wish they never asked because their solution was to spray the most disgusting skunk smelling perfume ALL over the hotel corridor and dining room. There was a long white hair in our bed :( we don't have white hair. The towels were so thin you could see through them and the edges were frayed and ratty. They were so thin they didn't dry after being hung up overnight. The shower & bathroom floor was very SLIPPERY and the tub too narrow, an accident waiting to happen. The breakfast was inedible! Rubbery burnt and soggy omelette, pale sausage, pale salty soggy potatoes; it all had to be thrown away. We were only able to gag down the coffee and toast. The front desk lady was nice enough but didn't speak English. I said "I'd like to check out" and she looked at me confused "what is check out??" And I had to repeat myself 4x until she realized it was her job to check us out. There are maybe 3 places to stay in Lancaster so it was slim pickings. That being said, this definitely doesn't live up to the Hilton standard I'm used to.

There's a large pool in the center of the hotel so you can go for a swim just 10 feet outside your hotel room if you want. The town of Logan itself is also very close to a lot of nearby parks and hiking, which the hotel provides lots of information on. There was a....unusually large list of rules and terms to agree to when checking in, but ultimately it wasn't anything too concerning and mostly common sense things. The rooms themselves were alright, kind of small and not super swanky but still clean, comfortable and very reasonably priced. There's a little "soft background noise" speaker in each room which defaults to soft beach waves which is a nice touch. If you like supporting local businesses, need a reasonably priced dog-friendly hotel or both I'd recommend here.

It was only on our third try that we were able to visit this shop due to their packed parking lot (they even had someone directing traffic). Good for them! Once we were able to visit, we ordered a cardamom latte and cappuccino. Both came out well. It appears they roast their own beans. The shop also offers a variety of snacks and small meals. It's more of a grab and go spot given the limited space for seating - inside and out.

Whistlestop is located at the end of a dirt road (literally off the beaten trail), so don't be too worried if you wonder if you're going the right way--keep going back the road and it's just over an old rail line. The B&B is the basement of an old farm house and the room is spacious. As Brian mentioned, the room had a queen size bed, couch, working fireplace, pool table, kitchenette, and private bath. The owners, Sherry and Mike, were a delightful couple and we had a chance to peak into their beautifully renovated kitchen and meet their lovable boxer, Lucy. Tons of snacks to pick from, but easily the best were the homemade sticky buns and chocolate chip cookies. Sherry stocked the fridge and pantry with breakfast items for the next day (yogurt, fruit, oatmeal, breakfast bowls). Brian enjoyed a couple rounds of pool while I feasted on several hours of HGTV's "Property Brothers" on the biggest flat-screen TV I've seen in someone's house (60-inch?). The bed was cozy, covered with beautiful colored linens, and I think if you wanted to leave the blinds open, you could wake to a beautiful sunrise amongst the nearby trees. I woke up early Sunday morning to do a bit of reading and enjoy a cup of tea by the fireplace. Perfection. Since we were there in late March, we didn't get to enjoy this amenity, but there is a fire pit so you can make some s'mores (yes, they provide all the fixings for that too). I need to ask Brian when we can go again...it was a great weekend to unplug and just relax and get away from the hustle and bustle of Columbus. The pool was nice for my son and there was a decent breakfast spread. I found the staff to be very friendly and it was a pretty easy and fast check-in process. Parking was fairly easy, even though it was busy at the time of evening we came in. The room did get quite hot, and I couldn't adjust the temperature, so I ended up just turning it off, which gave us a comfortable sleeping atmosphere. Over-all a good stay.

Upon arrival we walked into the cabin (foxfire) to no ac. The air conditioner was not working. Also…read moreafter walking in the floor was messed up pushing the middle counter top about a half a foot in the air. The fridge was not working. We only were able to keep drinks in it no meat. There was food (cheeseballs) all over the floor. But apparently it was cleaned before we came. The hot tub had sand all over it. The deck was not blown off. Weeks worth of branches and leaves all over the deck. The outside shower they say they have was not working, and or like they stated not hooked up but it was something they stated they had that we could use. We booked this from 6/20-6/26 and would've love to be able to come back here but unfortunately will not be booking again. The only thing that made any of it better was Collin a worker got the floor fixed so we could atleast walk on it, instantly brought us air conditioners to be installed and was available to help us with whatever we needed. But to be on vacation and have all these problems it is unacceptable. This cabin is in kept up with unfortunately and it showed for our first family vacation sadly.
