We have stayed at the Inn before and highly recommend it. This time we chose one of the offsite lodges - The Bourbon Trail Lodge - for a family weekend getaway. This is an amazing property near all the best hiking and tourist spots in the area. The decor is typical lodge but everything is spotless and like new. There are 2 large bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths and a large living/dining area with a fully stocked kitchen. There is a hot tub on the deck which was great for relaxing in the evenings. Also a fire pit and gas grill although you need to choose add on propane tank rental if you want to use the grill. Firewood is also an optional add on. The lodge is surrounded by woods with excellent bird watching. It is also dark enough in the evening for some star gazing. We highly recommend this spot for a family getaway (sleeps 4) - or check out the other great lodging options hosted by the Inn. read more

It's a long & winding scenic road to reach the Inn. Maybe stressful drive in bad weather. The Inn itself is serene. Lots of updates in the last few years. The original Inn is now the Spa. Check-in is at the giftshop, next to the restaurant. Choices of lodging include cabins, yurts and geodomes. Our cabin was rustic, yet modern. (Light filtering curtains) The grounds are well maintained and highlight the natural beauty of the area. There are hammocks, firepits and seating throughout. Lots of outdoor activities near by. (May want to bring your own bikes) Staff & service are top quality. Absolutely worth the stay. Just be sure to make reservations in advance, especially for spa and dining so you can take advantage all their offerings. NOTE: wi-fi is available & worked well. We spent a weekend in one of the cottages at the Inn & Spa at Cedar Falls and it far exceeded our expectations. We walked in from a cold January day and were immediately greeted by the warm embrace of our cozy cottage. It took no time for me to start the gas fireplace and run the water to the two person soaking tub and become enveloped in the beautiful scenery around me. After a glass of wine in the tub, I threw on one of the two provided soft robes and cozied up in our king bed and took the best nap of my life. I still had a bottle of wine to finish so when I woke up, I wrapped myself in blankets and sat out on the back porch swing to take in some woodland views. The back porches of the cottages extend the whole length of the cottage and there's no shortage of places to sit and enjoy the views. Kindred Spirits, the on site restaurant is also a gem. Rustic in every good way possible, the food and drinks are fantastic. I can always appreciate a good Old Fashioned, and Kindred Spirits delivered. We were lucky enough to eat here for dinner & breakfast and were highly impressed with the food and unbelievable hospitality. The hospitality also extends to their spa where we were warmly welcomed by staff and enjoyed some amazing massages. If you're looking to spend a weekend away for some R&R I cannot recommend The Inn & Spa at Cedar Falls enough. It was truly unforgettable for me and I cannot wait to return. read more

Serenity now! And I mean this in the most earnest sense of the phrase. You will find serenity at the Inn & Spa at Cedar Falls, and you will find it immediately. As an introvert who becomes depleted quickly by interacting with people, staying in a cabin here, surrounded by the Hocking Hills woods, was just what this misanthrope needed. It's blissfully quiet, with the exception of bird songs and critter scampers. Our cabin was far enough away from the main inn building that we couldn't hear anything going on there, but set into the woods enough that our deck faced the woods and we couldn't see anything but trees and nature when we were on the deck. Our cabin was a restful retreat. We stayed in the Dogwood cabin, which was plenty of room for my family of four. It's two levels: the main level includes a small kitchen with all of the necessities (mini refrigerator, full-sized electric stove and oven, full sink, dishes, silverware and cutlery), a full bath with a gigantic shower, and a living room with a one-touch fireplace -- no need for wood! The living room includes a full-sized Murphy bed that hides away into the wall, and a sliding door that takes you to a deck with patio furniture. The spiral staircase takes you down to the second level, which has a two-person whirlpool tub, a queen-sized bed and another sliding door that leads to another deck, which includes patio chairs and a grill. The cabin was fully furnished and decorated, and included all of the things you might need to help feel at home, including blankets, books to read and a DVD player, as well as access to Hulu, Netflix and Amazon Prime TV on the TV. We stayed in a cabin, but there are other lodging options here, including yurts and geodomes, which sleep two adults and are not for kids and families. We got to see them from the outside, and they look really neat! The Inn at Cedar Falls is a bed and breakfast place, so a full breakfast is included with your stay. And by full, I mean you will leave stuffed. You get two courses for breakfast: yogurt, local granola and fruit; then a choice of breakfast which can include anything from omelets to biscuits and gravy; also unlimited coffee, which they will also pour into a to-go cup for you to take away. You're also free to lounge about the inn grounds and inside the inn. They have DVDs to borrow to take back to your cabin, and cozy places to sit everywhere to play a board game or read a book. There is plenty of space to spread out, and I never felt like I was intruding on someone else's space. Outside are hammocks to relax in, a rooftop garden with places to sit and look out over everything. Lots of places on the grass to bring a blanket and have a picnic outdoors. This is just a lovely place to stay in Hocking Hills, and I'm so glad I got to experience it. read more

Had an early reservation & although the place was empty put us on the patio where the wind was clearly blowing through their plastic covering on a cold Feb night. Another table had been seated near the fire & when we asked to move were treated like it was a bother. Got moved indoors & restaurant remained pretty empty till we left. My fish & veggies were not great. Fish was too salty, broccoli over cooked & Brussel sprouts under cooked & tasted very bitter. Husband liked his mashed potatoes & steak & unfortunately had gotten brussel sprouts too. They did supply me with gluten free bread that was warm & good enough so I'm pleased with that. read more

Loved our stay in our yurt!! We wanted to get away and I've wanted to stay in a yurt here. We were able to find a weekend available on their easy-to-use reservation system. Loved that they have a charging station for our electric car, and from there it's an easy walk to the yurts. Ours was named the Firefly and was clean and wonderful! It had a push-button start stove to help heat the room with two rocking chairs in front of it. There's a small kitchen with everything you need from a microwave to mugs and wine glasses, small frig, coffee maker, and a small counter with stool. I loved all the woodwork too! The bathroom is open above which may not be optimal for some people, but it wasn't for us. This was a perfect getaway for us! read more

A friend and I were in town to spend the day hiking and we just so happened to drive by The Inn. We couldn't help but notice it's quaint exterior and friendly signage along the road. At that moment we made a point to stop in and explore their little gift shop when our legs needed a break from hiking. While we didn't stay the night or eat at the restaurant, we did have a good time browsing around. Upon entering the gift shop we oohed and awed at the old school telephone box and pretty flowers. Once inside we were greeted right away and immediately found locally made items such as jewelry, art, chocolate covered treats, jams, and more. I'm rather fond of cool rocks and crystals and when I noticed their little selection I picked one out right away. For eleven bucks I got a beautiful blue chalcedony crystal tower and I love it. This place is nestled perfectly in the wilderness that is Hocking Hills and I would definitely come back to stay. Their little cabins look adorable. Wife had the scallops and being an East coast girl is picky about her sea food. In fact I doubt she would had scallops in a Midwest city had it not been the sounds of tasty jubilation coming from the table next to us. My wife loved them and wanted to come back the next night. I had the ribeye that met this Husker's expectations for beefy excellence. I had my sights set on the hot lava chocolate cake. The old old old cabins are connected and converted to a comfortable dining space. We started with the cheese ball and dip combo (the tiny roasts are amazing!) Made a last minute dinner reservation during crowded Memorial Day weekend and was seated right away. The server was incredibly kind and knowledgeable. Outstanding! We we live in a super touristy town so every time we travel, we look for a unique out of the way place to have dinner. We stayed at the Little B Inn in Nelsonville and booked a reservation @ the Inn Cedar Falls. We actually started with breakfast there before a day of hiking. It's was very good but not amazing mostly because we had to ask for everything. Can we have cream, sugar, more coffee, salt and pepper? Other than that the breakfast was delicious. We drove back for dinner. Well for once I'm kind of speechless. It's the kind of meal that you just don't forget. You think back and smile to yourself. Our waiter Mike was perfectly suited for his job. He was always there when we needed him and also gave us some great tips on his personal favorite dessert the cake with caramel and vanilla bean ice cream I had the salmon and my husband got the strip steak. Both were incredible. Seriously, how do they put THAT caliber of food out of their tiny kitchen? It's magical. Prices are reasonable as you get so much food. My only criticism is the margarita mix doesn't belong in this five star restaurant. Maybe switch it for fresh lime juice? This is by far my favorite place to eat in Ohio. Go here. Booked 2 cabins with this company and spent a lot of money from our small organization for a weekend get away. However I left my personal $130 Apple TV box (used it for presentations) and it has been about a month and they still haven't mailed it back to me. I'm a college student and I'm starting to think someone that works for them has stolen it. I've called multiple times and have been very patient but nothing has happened. The AC was broken in one of the lodges which thankfully they discounted our bill because of that. It just stinks that they can't just mail me my belongings back. I was told it was going to be mailed July 5th and it's July 23rd now... so I'm starting to become pessimistic... I'm not sure if I can advise our future leaders in our org to book there. It wasn't just 1 thing that was disappointing, but several which is why (other than the beautiful patio setting) I wouldn't recommend this restaurant for their food or their customer service. We took our family of 4 here for breakfast as a treat on the last morning of our vacation before we headed back home. Chose this place because it was one of few that had a dog friendly outdoor seating area since it was too hot to leave our dog in the car. We were also looking for a place with a beautiful setting and a delicious breakfast, and not a chain restaurant. This place was beautiful and unique (not a chain) and had a lovely patio to sit outside and enjoy our breakfast, but unfortunately our experience was not that enjoyable because the food was not up to par for an upscale restaurant, or for that matter, any restaurant. Between 3 adults & 1 child our bill came to over $50 before tip and that was for 3 plates of pancakes that had little flavor and were on the thick/heavy & dry side, and only came with one choice of meat and nothing else, not even a garnish on the plate, except the cup of syrup which tasted sort of watered down or like it was sugar free - anyways the other food was good but the pancakes & syrup were definitely less than delicious. The kids order of pancakes only came with one pancake and we had to pay extra for a side of bacon to go with it. What we got was nothing fancy, so over $50 seemed pretty steep for what was included, even if it had tasted good but since it really wasn't that good it definitely was not a good value. Although we didn't love the food, I really loved the beautiful patio and our server was good, and the food was not awful enough that I probably wouldn't even have written this review at all except that we also got served sour milk. By the time I got the attention of one of the servers to let them know, we were already finished and getting ready to leave so we weren't looking for a replacement, but the thing is, they didn't offer to refund us for the sour milk or compensate in any other way. So both the food and the customer service (not our server) were disappointing, which is why in my opinion 2 stars is a generous rating for our experience. read more

Revisited Hocking Hills State Park and stayed here after having had lunch here before. This is a lovely Inn which includes wonderful rooms, a spa, gift shop, and restaurant. We stayed in a room with a queen bed. The room was quaint and provided us with books, scrabble, iron, ironing board, fly swatter (yes, fly swatter), decent towels (thanks for the one extra -- a gal likes to have the extra for her hair), 2 robes, an electric fireplace (did not use), a refrigerator, coffee maker, glass wine glasses and cork screw (nice touch), shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner right in the shower, and an assortment of amenities such as shower cap, emery board, and body lotion. Note, there is NO TV. YAY! Oh, and the sheets were oh so soft. Downstairs from our room was a common room with a do-it-yourself wood stove, sitting area, magazines, and a game table with games. It was a nice area to come sit by the fire and enjoy wine we brought. The gift shop was nice and they did have a selection of wines and cheese in a refrigerated case. Breakfast was provided with the stay and was quite ample. The first day they had a egg and veggie casserole (we didn't partake but it sounded good). We, instead, opted for oatmeal loaded with everything, bacon, juice, and coffee, along with fruit and yogurt. The second day we had wonderful cinnamon French toast, a muffin, and bacon with, again, juice, coffee, yogurt, and fruit. Again, all this was included in the price of our stay and thoroughly enjoyed. We had dinner the second night as part of a package we purchased. For 40.00 a person, we received an appetizer (cheeseball of sorts with crackers), salad or soup (we chose a house salad), entrée (I chose mahi-mahi with mango salsa and my husband chose filet mignon) with a side vegetable (we both chose broccoli), and dessert (I chose a chocolate torte and my husband chose a berry cobbler). The dinner was good, though not stellar on all points. The filet mignon was excellent while the mahi-mahi salsa was way too spicy for such a delicate fish. The cobbler was very good but the torte was just average. The restaurant is in an old log cabin that is quite attractive and cozy. It's surprising that they can push out the food as well as they do given that the kitchen is the size of a small house kitchen with room for the chef only. We didn't partake of the spa but the menu options are plenty and I definitely want to visit the next time here. We just couldn't fit it in this time. This place knows how to do put the customer first -- every single employee we met greeted us warmly. Misty was there for our very late arrival and checked us in and answered our questions about the park and the annual winter hike. Then, lo and behold, she was there bright and early the next morning, as well. This seemed to be the case for several employees. Our dinner chef was the morning chef the very next morning. Bless them all! We were here to partake of the 50th annual winter hike from Old Man's Cave to Cedar Falls to Ash Cave. They estimated well over 5000 people partook of that event and I believe it! This place is pricey but oh, so worth it if just every so often you want to feel pampered. read more

Although we didn't stay there, my wife and I took a day trip to Hocking hills and we can across this restaurant, it was quant it was rustic, and it was very inviting, it doesn't look like much from the outside but when you walk in it's very welcoming, you are greeted with a smile and the service was top notch, marry was our server and she was fantastic, all the servers were just running around and doing a fantastic job. The cheese knows how to put together a fantastic breakfast the coffee was great the homemade strawberry jam was great and we'll the entire breakfast was will with the drive it just added to the sheer beauty at Hocking hills. Exceptional customer service, cozy cabins, any issues dealt with swiftly and kindly. My husband and I were interested in disconnecting for 5 days and the Inn at Cedar Falls was perfect for that, thanks mostly to the exceptional staff & cozy accommodations. We ran into a few issues but the staff quickly and kindly helped resolve them. Pros -- the best customer service we've ever experienced, remote location within Hocking Hills Forest, very close to desirable Hocking Hills hikes, delicious on-site restaurant for all meals, comfy sheets / bed / pillows / couch, plenty of towels, full kitchen with basic cookware / dishes in our cabin (Strong Wolf), covered porch perfect for keeping us dry as we enjoyed a several hour rain storm; WiFi in all accommodations. Cons -- no landline or cell coverage at Strong Wolf cabin which caused us potential safety issues when our car broke down at the top; the cabin's well water pump broke the day we arrived and was quickly replaced by the awesome maintenance team but still resulted in water issues 4 of the 5 days of our stay (more on that below); all cabins except a specific handicap cabin have either very steep stairs or a spiral staircase up to the cabins bathroom/bedroom on the second floor Overall -- we absolutely loved our experience at the Inn at Cedar Falls despite a few hiccups that were resolved as best as possible by compassionate staff. We would definitely recommend and will love to stay again. We stayed in the Strong Wolf cabin. It's the most remote of the cabins, up a long direct/gravel road (I'd guess a couple of miles from the main inn). Definitely try to have an all-wheel / 4-wheel drive vehicle for this cabin. We thought we'd be fine with a front-wheel drive 2017 Pacifica van and while we did it, we had to back all the way down twice when we didn't hit it hard enough on the ascent. We loved the remote location (you won't see or hear another person the entire time you're out there) but the dirt road is a deterrent for us for this specific cabin the next time (the other cabins aren't this remote and don't require use of this road). Our van battery went dead 3 times in 24 hours (twice while up on top of the dirt road/hill at Strong Wolf) and the incredibly kind, efficient Rick (maintenance staff) jumped it all 3 times without complaint or even the slightest sign of annoyance, so we could finally get it to a Chrysler dealership 20 minutes away. The only big recommendation we'd make to management is to outfit the Strong Wolf with a CB radio or even a basic air horn for emergencies because we learned you really are stuck if something happens up there. We ran out of bottled water one night and wanted to drive to the general store a few miles away when we realized the car battery was dead. It was 8pm at night, no cell, no landline. Without much hope for a response, I emailed the general "info" email address of the Inn, not really expecting much, but with the subject line HELP AT STRONG WOLF) and within 10 minutes, Amy at the front desk was texting us (thankfully WiFi enables iPhone iMessages to work even without cell coverage). She brought us waters so we'd be good until morning. Before she texted, my husband was close to making the several mile hike to the inn for help but I have physical challenges/advanced cancer and didn't want him to leave me there alone. Regarding the water issues, the well water pump broke unexpectedly and was replaced the day we arrived. The staff expected and communicated to us that it would likely take several hours for the sediment to settle out of the new pump, resulting in slower / heavy iron but still safe water to use and even drink. They offered to relocate us to a different room but we were fine with a few hours of inconvenience for that remote cabin (especially because the other offerings would have been cottages or inn rooms and not cabins). Unfortunately it took 4 days for the water to return to a somewhat decent water pressure and we had to manually clear the sediment by turning the filter every couple of hours or shower use. We never got to use the fresh water jacuzzi or take a long shower after a hike without getting out mid-shower to run the filter. While this was a pretty major inconvenience, Rick and Amy were great about providing options and showing us how to address the internal filter. Plus they discounted some of the nightly room cost for the inconvenience. Bottom line -- issues happen but it's how the staff tries to make it right that really matters, and this team did an excellent job. Amy and Rick helped us generously on several occasions. The rest of the staff was always smiling and offering to go above and beyond, from the wait staff at the restaurant to the gift shop, from maintenance and housing team to the front office desk. I hope this culture of exceptional service, compassionate, and quality remains a staple of the Inn at Cedar Falls because that's what really distinguished this stay for us. read more

My family and I stayed at the Inn & Spa at Cedar Falls this past weekend. What a relaxing, enjoyable time! We stayed at the Bluebell Cottage - it was very spacious and had a wonderful view of the woods from our back porch. The cottage was also a nice walking distance from the restaurant on the property. Speaking of the property - it was so nice! Tons of relaxing seating areas, gardens, hammocks and swings. We also enjoyed the restaurant - highly recommend the complimentary breakfast. Lovely, lovely, lovely! My three-night stay in the Honeysuckle Cottage was restful and soothing. I only wished I'd had more time during my visit to simply "be" on the wraparound deck, breathe and read! My cottage had a gas fireplace and a Jacuzzi tub (that I used every single night), a separate shower, mini-fridge and coffeemaker. Be forewarned, there are no TVs or cell phone reception in these accommodations, but who cares when you can climb into your cushy bed after a full day in the fresh air and fall asleep to the sounds of rain hitting the roof and animals skittering across the deck. The whole point of coming here is to SWITCH OFF and relax. The restaurant is amazing as well. Full breakfasts are included in all stays (don't miss the housemade granola), and you can make a reservation for a surprisingly upscale dinner service. Terry, one of the owners, curates an impressive wine selection that, together with the chef-driven cuisine, culminates in outstanding meals. (His wife, Ellen, is so friendly and welcoming as well.) From the spring seasonal menu, I sampled the asparagus/cress salad with fennel and a poached egg, a broth redolent of morels and ramps, housemade ravioli filled with smoked duck, and a Creamsicle creme brûlée. Another place I thought I'd reviewed. Sigh. Sweetie and I checked it out as a possible wedding site. Beautiful, but just too far out of town during the winter. Service was excellent, showing us around and explaining the amenities. They have their own wifi- a necessity in the hidden-away Hocking Hills. There's a nice little gift shop. There is a range of rooms, from a tiny "hotel" to cabins. The location is amazing, nestled in the hills. The banquet room would be perfect for a party, and there are cool outside areas as well. We will be back for a weekend getaway. And the food. read more

About a month ago, Morgan put her foot down and insisted we find a place to go for a vacation. I was lucky enough to find a booking.com listing for the Inn & Spa at Cedar Falls, and it was a perfect fit. We stayed in the Cardinal room in the main in (which is basically a converted and renovated barn) and were charmed by the cozy decor and beautiful hilltop garden right outside our door. The staff were fantastic, breakfast at the inn's attached restaurant was good, and we really enjoyed our visit to the spa for foot massages and a mud wrap after a long morning of hiking in the surrounding parks. One word of warning is that cell service in the area is spotty at best - though if you're trying to escape from the pressures of the outside world, that's more of a good thing than bad! We really enjoyed our stay at the Inn, and I suspect we'll be back sooner than later. read more

Had 5:45pm dinner reservation. Highly recommend you have dinner reservation. Nice appetizers. Crab cakes and mussels were excellent. Large salad can be shared by two people. Salmon and pork chop dinners were excellent. Nice desert selection. A great spot for relaxing dinner. read more

Have stayed here now 3 times and love it every time. The place is nice and cozy. Quiet cottages and friendly service. Would highly recommend! Overnight stay comes with a great breakfast in the morning! read more

My wife and I celebrated our 30th anniversary here. We had a very relaxing weekend. Spectacular dinners and complementary full breakfasts. We enjoyed a couples massage and reading by the fireside, with plenty of talking and laughter. We plan to come back ! read more

Amazing place with wonderful staff. We stayed three nights in a Yurt and would love to try a geo dome next time the food at Kindred spirits was fantastic so eat on site but make sure you make reservations ahead of time. Josh the chef did an amazing job spent an afternoon at the spa and David gave amazing treatments very relaxing the hiking trails are all close by and so so beautiful. We will definitely be back! read more

Great place. Clean cabins. Great Location in Logan. My husband and I stayed 2 nights and it was perfect. The back deck at our cabin was awesome we sat out there both nights and listened to nature and talked to each other. Very serene and very peaceful. We booked late and had one of the pet- friendly cabins, golden rod. We didn't bring our dog but there was no pet hair or pet smell to be found. The grounds at the main inn are also very nice. We enjoyed cocktails on the roof top! Breakfast is included with your stay and it's very good. I didn't have time for the spa- so no comments. read more
