Your typical Chinese Buffet but a bit better. Restaurant itself is very clean and food is good. I found the beef in the beef broccoli a bit fatty, but the orange chicken was very good. Crab puffs were good & I recommend the chicken wings. Sushi is slightly better than OK and dessert is typical of a Chinese Buffet. As others have said, this is the best Chinese buffet in Tucson. Tucson really isn't known for Chinese food like a city like San Francisco is, so I'll cut this place some slack. Being that Chinese is my wife's favorite food, we stop by here often. The food is pretty good and none of the things I've tried are old. My favorite thing to eat here is the orange chicken and the won ton soup. The servers are always quick to clean up plates and getting refills, which I like. In town for business and in my travels I have found some of the greatest buffets.thus places left a lot to be desired. The seating booth looked dirty the first one they gave me had a broken bench seat. The food was tasteless. I like to try a little bit of everything. I love looking for the flavor and this not a good experience to do so here. The staff was not visible. There was a waitress standing near the food area and she looked at everyone getting food. Meh. The hostess was a little on the gruff side, the server was next to nonexistent, only showing up to clear the plates away once and deliver the check (20 minutes after we'd finished eating, and just been sitting there passing time watching t.v.), and the place looked wrecked, with food all over the carpet in every dining area that I saw. Then there's the food. Double meh. The sushi was actually pretty good (keep in mind that I only ate the rolls which didn't have raw fish in them), and I enjoyed the chicken skewers (i.e. rat on a stick) and mushrooms, but the rest of the items I sampled were unlike anything I've ever tasted before... And not in a positive way. The beef and broccoli was relatively flavorless, the ribs had very little actual meat and a rather sickening BBQ sauce on them, the cheesy crab bake was just... weird, and the pork tasted like fish and fell apart in layers after I took a bite. Again, weird. So, would I come back? Nope. I don't think I could justify paying $10.49 (+ drink + tax + tip) for a meal like this ever again. read more

Ok they walked in the setting was nice for me where sat down for drinks we told the waiter what we wanted and they came back with completely wrong sodas to fix it and she came back with 2 more drinks that were definitely right but there was an ice IceCube that had a piece of food frozen inside of it. Of all the Chinese buffets, I think this one is the best. Now, that doesn't mean the "best one ever", but instead the best of what is available in Tucson. The food is decent for the most part. Yes, the decor leaves a little to be desired but who cares. I feel if you're at a buffet, you've kind of given up on a high class dining experience, am I right? Either way, I've been here with a large group and just my family, too. They have two buffet tables with the hot and fried dishes (orange chicken, fried rice, broccoli beef, egg rolls, etc), one buffet table is for salad and cold foods, another is for desserts and one for sushi. I have never tried the sushi but everything else is okay. The service is usually good and some servers are better than others but I'm never without a full glass of water. Not that good! Not alot of variety of foods. Food didnt have no taste whats so ever. I was expecting it to be good since i saw good reviews on here but im really disappointed. We used to eat there a lot but it had been several months since we had made it to town. We were so excited. Today we tried to eat there and everything was different. The catfish wasn't catfish anymore and it was squishy. The mushrooms weren't whole anymore, they were stems and pieces that tasted like chemicals. The sesame chicken was squishy and tasteless and the orange chicken tasted anything but orange. Those were the only things that I liked there to begin with and now they taste weird and uncooked. After 10 minutes we went to pay and leave and the manager or owner or whoever the guy was asked us what was different and when we told him, he said they never served catfish, they never served whole mushrooms and they have always had the same cook. He laughed and made us pay the full price, even for the un-carbonated sodas. If you want to get treated poorly and leave hungry, eat here. read more

Grand Buffet is near Wal-Mart and is very populated during the lunch hour which leads to a quick turn-around (and food not sitting over warmers too long). I thought the Chinese doughnuts, cream cheese rangoons, and green beans were excellent. The foods pretty good, not a lot to choose from though. Service was exceptional. Also the place was really clean, no real complaints here.

I've been here many times, but I've stopped now. The last time I went, I got some soup, and found a HAIR in it. We sat near the kitchen, and I could see inside. Many of the employees were on their phones, not working. The hair in the soup is disgusting, but if it wasn't for that, it's a less than average restaurant. Definitely would not recommend. read more

My family and i are regulars here but I went last night and was disgusted to see roaches in the dining room I let the waiter know he then laughed and took a napkin and got the bug when i let the manager know she laughed and said there was nothing she could do . If they have roaches in the dining room I could only imagine the kitchen ! I was disappointed since I regularly eat there I've never had a problem. I'm also disappointed at the way the management managed the problem. I am never returning for sure. read more
